A few days after the Transfiguration Seminar, Naomi decided she was going to snag a book on the subject and learn a few solid facts. She would have preferred to ditch the lecture after the Headmistress had left, but Tracy wasn't that rude, so she had to sit through subjective narratives, opinions, and very strange tidbits of information as she tried to rationalize all the information in her head. And, to top it all off, she figured out the book she wanted was in the one of those old enchanted bookcases in one of the classrooms. Getting into the bookcase was simple, but getting into it without getting caught was another issue. Well, since it was Sandusky's seminar she had to sit through, then it could be Sandusky who got the book.
After the application of some metamorph and transfiguration skills, under a wonderful disguise of Sandusky, Naomi strolled through the halls, past the living portraits and into the empty classroom. There, with the assistance of some wandwork and a few runes, Naomi got the bookcase open, tucked the book under Sandusky's arm, closed it, re-enchanted it, and then strolled towards the library.
Of course, the witch made sure to take one of Hogwarts' infamous shortcuts, out of the view of any prying eyes so that she could transfigure and metamorph her and her clothes back into her preferred appearance and style that belonged to Naomi Foley. At least she didn't have to really act or talk like the elderly professor--there was too much effort involved there.
Finally the witch wandered off to the library, crawled into one of the window spaces, and began reading the extensive book on Transfiguration laws, discoveries, mysteries, and milestones. Anyone who walked by her could easily see the cover of her book, but she doubted many could identify the book simply from its cover--if they could she found it highly unlikely they'd walk by her at that very moment.
However, the fact that someone could be hunting the castle for the Transfiguration professor completely escaped her thoughts. It was Saturday after all!
