[Dec 12th] Impressionism isn't only for art galleries

two o'clock!

Post meetings with Ignan on the matters of feelings and re-admitting Johann back into the Ministry, she felt as though there was room to speak with the staff that assisted in working with her brain-rattled cousin. So, it meant going to Mungo's with the understanding that visiting Claire was an unwise idea after the small meeting. After all, two women in tears were hardly on her agenda and more importantly, Gabie wasn't keen in having Francis upset either.

The lift headed to the three floor as she readjusted the scarf around her neck. Dressed similiarly like she had with Gale, it was comfortable on windy days such as these and times be darned if she wasn't dressed to the nines. A ding and the automated droll voice spoke up to indicate she had arrived; stepping out, Gabrielle approached the desk with a warm smile.

"Hello, I'm Miss Murray and am here to meet with Mr. Hollingbury. Would you please be a dear and inform him I've arrived?"

It was not often that the third floor had casual visitors who wanted to see staff, let alone be one of the few healers who didn't (insofar as was known) have a properly social life outside of the hospital in the first place. Therefore, when the nurse informed Arcturus of his visitor she had an incredulous look that he himself shared moments after the information had registered in his head.

"Uh." He composed himself and took a deep breath. "Please do show her the way to my office, I'll be in there." No lies, he really was on his way back from his rounds.

Of course his desk would be a bit of a mess. He always left it the way he liked, since he knew where everything was. Housekeeping be damned, they were not allowed to touch his things unless they left a list of what they'd relocated to where. Still, for the sake of his visitor not having to peer over the pile of books and papers on his desk to talk to him, he put away said books and stacked the papers swiftly. Patients' files stayed put.

All the while he pondered the reason for this visit.

The hat was placed neatly in her lap, legs crossed all lady-like as Gabrielle sat once the nurse dropped her off into Arcturus' office. She could remember going into her grandfather's office and still could recall the various scents associated with the room. Leather and mahogany, black cherry tobacco from his pipe, ancient and some modernised parchment texts, the faint scent of sterile instruments. There was always a jar of licorce and another of bright coloured suckers for those Alan gave to before leaving.

She grinned in thinking about the room, even as she glanced around this one. The scent of parchment was there, but the rest of them weren't. Not a loss, really, aside nostalgia possibly feeling a little down from such things. Her eyes glanced towards the clock in the room before looking back down at her lap.

Patience.

When he'd eventually made it back to his office after clearing things out, she was there. Arcturus had never seen her before, but this didn't bother him. Most of his patients he never saw before anyway. To him, everyone who came into the hospital was a new face, unless they were a) chronically ill, b) hypochondriac or c) both of the above.

"Good morning, uh..." He faltered. The nurse hadn't told him who she was. Usually he had some frame of reference since the visitor was related to a patient, but this was different. He was pretty sure she hadn't had anyone in the hospital.

Still, he wasn't one to fade out. He'd stopped talking for much worse things. "How may I help you?" he asked politely. "It's not often I get visitors," for good reason, he added mentally, "so pardon me if I'm slightly frazzled and uninformed of things."

“I’m Gabrielle Murray, Department Head to the International Magic Co-operation at the Ministry. I understand you’re quite the busy worker, Healer Hollingbury, but I come to you in grave times,” she began, the look on her face etched with grave concern towards her addled and addicted brain cousin. “I realise you are bound by oath, but we need to speak about one of your patients that your floor has come into contact with recently.” There was a sigh as she rubbed her temples, indicating her conflict to play snitch. But Johann needed the wake up call that this wasn’t normal. That it was going to harm him in the end.

Blinking to Arcturus, Gabrielle continued.

"I need to speak with you about Johann Storm."

The witch looked on in nervousness. Hopefully, this all wouldn't go blasting back up into her face like an explosive cauldron.
