Physical Description: Ryan is tall with a medium build; he stands at around 6ft and weighs roughly 160lbs. He has blue grey eyes and brown hair that's cropped short and somehow always looks messy. Ryan's skin is quite pale and can only barely tan it.

Not caring much for his appearance,  Ryan puts little to no effort into making himself look sensible and not like he just got out of bed. His hair is commonly seen in a messy fashion though he may make the effort to flatten it down slightly on some days. Ryan wears the first things his hands touch and can sometimes look very mismatched.

Ryan’s face doesn’t convey his emotions well, usually sporting a blank expression and he doesn’t really smile. He walks with a slight slouch and doesn’t rush anywhere, ever. Ryan likes to take things slow and take his time doing things.


Personality Description: Ryan is a generally laid back kind of guy; he is never hostile or rude to anyone, unless they deserve it, of course and will avoid conflict in most cases. He is very calm and mellow most of the time, but is quick to stress in certain situations such as exam times and is extremely competitive.

Though he appears with a blank expression most of the time, Ryan is a fun person and loves to joke around and have a good time. He rarely breaks the rules and if he does, he has to deal with a terribly guilty conscience.

Under the rough exterior, Ryan is kind and gentle, getting quite talkative with close friends. He could blab on for hours about Quidditch and other similar things, but tries to restrict himself from wasting too much time that he could be using to study but is very easily excited.

Ryan has a habit of seeming disinterested all the time, making it seem like his attention is focused elsewhere besides the thing his attention is meant to be on.


History: Ryan was born into a small family in Manchester on the 14th of January 1993. Ryan has no siblings and grew up with just his mother and father, who both practiced magic and brought him up surrounded by magic while teaching him all the fundamental lessons in life.

From a young age, Ryan showed signs of great intelligence. He was able to understand complex ideas as well as showing his first signs of magic just after his first birthday, though they were only minor, such as moving a toy.

Growing up, Ryan was always confident but seemed to lack the drive to be able to excel further, declaring it a waste of time and brain power. This attitude wore off as he got older and now he pushes himself to achieve his best in all aspects of life.

At around the age of 14, Ryan started feeling he was different, though he had always had a sense he was. But, it was at 14 years of age that he became more aware of his sexuality and found himself to be paying more attention to boys in the same way he likes girls. Ryan hasn't really told anyone but his parents that he is attracted to both men and women, but he doesn't see it as that much of a big deal.

In his early years at Hogwarts, Ryan didn’t have too many friends as he came of as quite retracted, shy and lazy, even though he was the total opposite. Being placed in the Ravenclaw house enabled Ryan to observe others quite like him and was able to become more outgoing and confident.

Ryan enjoys most subjects, though would rather not participate in Care of Magical Creatures as he doesn’t like animals or creatures of any sort. There was no real reason for his dislike towards them, just the fact that he can’t predict what they will do and when.

As most Ravenclaws are, Ryan is very logical as is always thinking of the next move. He plans out his actions carefully and is quick to make decisions.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Ryan was placed in the Ravenclaw house due to his pure determination to reach his full potential intellectually and his hard working attitude towards schoolwork.

Writing Sample: Ryan sighed as he tossed the old broom to the side and sat on the cold grass of the Quidditch pitch. He enjoyed just flying around, without a care in the world and he felt at peace with the world. There was not a soul in sight, it was way too early for many people, so Ryan laid on the grass and closed his eyes, placing his hands behind his head. The wind blew gently through his hair and the trees shivered in the distance. He could stay like this forever, it was peaceful, and incredibly relaxing.

He didn't know how long he was laying on the field for, but soon enough, Ryan was shocked back to reality and he heard someone clearing their throat behind him. Ryan sat bolt upright and shook the grass from his hair before turning to see who it was. He came face to face with a girl he'd never seen before, obviously from a younger year, perhaps a second year?

"What's up?" Ryan blinked, confused about the girls presence. The girl jabbed a finger at the lifeless broom Ryan had dumped eariler and yapped on about it not being put away properly. Ryan waited for the girl to finish, and without so much as a 'See you later', he got to his feet, picked up the broom and walked away, feeling the girl's eyes burn into the back of his skull.
