Physical Description: As a young child, Sky’s hair was a deep brown color, but as she grew older, it began to lighten and now is a medium shade of blonde.  Her hair has always been wavy and she likes to wear it down, not caring if it’s blowing in her face.  Her skin is lightly tanned always, has been since she was born, but she started hanging out by the pool when she turned 14 to make it darker.  She stands at 5’7” and weighs around 115 pounds.

She doesn’t paint her fingernails, she doesn’t dress up, and she doesn’t ‘do anything with her hair’, as her mother quite frequently begs her to do.  No, Sky is your run-of-the-mill tomboy and is completely proud of it.  The only thing she does do is wear eyeliner around her eyes because she’s very proud of her eye color.  It’s a very light blue, almost a sky blue, but not quite.  It’s an unusual color for a person to have and that makes Sky very happy because she likes to be unusual.

Sky’s clothing choices have even found their way to mingle with the school uniform.  When she first started at Hogwarts, she was constantly getting reprimanded for not conforming with the other girls by refusing to wear a skirt.  That was just first year, 2nd and 3rd year she was being reminded that neon colors were not the uniform color dress shirt, but were studiously ignored.  By 4th year, most professors were getting tired of her blatant disregard for the rules and gave her detentions regularty for it. In her fifth year at Hogwarts the professors began to realize that she wasn't going to change completely so they worked out an agreement between themselves and began to send her out of class.  Halfway through the year though, they realized that nothing they did was working and the sending her out of class wasn't truly a punishment because she enjoyed it.  So, they sent one final plea home to her parents.

The summer between fifth and sixth year were no picnic for Sky.  The days were filled with demands on her mother's part.  For example, she wasn't allowed to come down to breakfast in her pajamas.  She had to be fully dressed like the rest of the family. Rule #2, Skirts.  Her mother had dragged her to Diagon Alley and made her buy 2 skirts and then when they got home, made her start wearing them at least twice a week. This didn't impress her and tried every possible idea to get rid of them.  But on the last day before her sixth year was to start, her father had a long talk with her, and her mother received the surprise of her life when Sky asked for more skirts to be sent to the school.

Wearing a skirt wasn't so bad until Sky began to change her views on boys.  Before she turned 16 boys were better friends, and now she could see them in a whole new light.  She almost had a backslide though in her wardrobe decisions when she was cornered in the Astronomy Tower by two Slytherin 7th years whom she didn't know.  They tried and failed to proposition her.  They were in the infirmary for 2 weeks when she was through, and although she still detest the uniform, she has finally begun to follow the rules in her 7th and final year.

Only her twin knows about this, but she has a tattoo on her left hipbone of a black Pegasus. It was meant as rebellion, but she knew her parents wouldn’t mind, so she got it anyway.

Personality Description: Sky is outspoken, rude, and obnoxious.  She speaks her mind and not only when she’s spoken to.  Sky likes to interrupt people because she thinks it’s funny when they get angry.  She’s quick-tempered too.  One wrong word in her presence and she’s instantly angry and holds a grudge for years, but if you are lucky enough to be her friend, you have a loyal companion for the rest of your life.

Sky isn’t the studious twin, she’s squeezed through every year because her brother makes her study for exams.  She’d much rather be outside, hanging by the lake, or running through the forest.  Her moods are impossible to predict and she lives like her name.  She can be calm and collected one minute and the next a raging hurricane.

History: Orphaned at 5 months old.  What a way to start out life.  Sky remembers nothing of her parents or any other family members because no one really remembers anything when they are that young.  Her earliest memories are those of an orphanage with lots of other children, a not-so-young couple taking them home, and then privileged living from then on.

Nothing much is known about the twins’ birth family, they were found in a destroyed shack in the valley just off the property of Barcaldine Castle near Oban, Scotland.  They were rescued, fed, clothed and then taken to the orphanage where they lived for a year and a half before they were adopted by the wealthy O’Connor couple.

Growing up wealthy was amazing for Sky, she loved all the gifts, the attention, and did she mention gifts.  Sky was a little spoiled growing up as Rosalie and Breton loved having a little girl around.  They tried to buy her pretty dresses and hair accessories, but as Sky grew older, they realized that she was a tomboy through and through and no amount of lace would change that.

When Sky was six years old she came into her magic in the most unorthodox way.  Most kids and their accidental magic go after things they don’t want to do, people they don’t like, or food they don’t want to eat.  Sky, on the other hand, on one December morning her parents went to wake her up and found her already awake with about 3 cats and 2 dogs inside her room.  She’d summoned them through her window because (as she told her parents) it was too cold for them outside.

When she received her letter to Hogwarts, Sky squealed loud enough to break glass, she was over-excited. Her mood drastically deflated when she realized there was a letter from Durmstrang also.  Her father’s family had been going to Durmstrang ever since the school opened, and the twins were expected to go there.  After a monumental fit, that was entirely fake and her parents knew it, Rosalie convinced her husband to let the kids decide which school they would like to go to.  Sky loudly exclaimed that she wanted to go to Hogwarts, she knew her twin would follow.

With her brother around, schoolwork came easy for Sky, although she didn’t always make the best marks.  She managed to scrape through by the skin of her teeth to her seventh year.  Even her parents didn’t think she’d make it that far.

Two months before the twins’ seventh year a letter came to them from Gringotts.  It was about an inheritance that neither of them knew they had.  After going to the bank they received their grandfather’s will and three letters.  The first letter was from their paternal grandfather, the second from their paternal uncle, and the third from their maternal grandfather, all of whom were deceased.

The letters from their father’s side didn’t explain much, just that they’d added significant amounts of money every year until they passed.  It was the letter from their mother’s father that told them what had caused them to be orphans.  Upon reading it, over her brother’s shoulder, Sky slammed her hand down on the table in the side room they were sitting in and stormed out of the bank.

She was furious, how could one man be so heartless and cruel.  She tried to apparate home but was so angry that she ended up splinching herself. Most of her body made it to the far end of Diagon Alley, but her left hand stayed at the bottom of the steps of Gringotts.   Her brother knew something was wrong and he and their parents made it in time to get her to St. Mungo’s where she stayed  for three days to make sure everything was back in working order.
The letter was never mentioned again.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Sky wasn’t automatically chosen for Gryffindor.  When she sat on the stool to have the hat placed on her head, it debated with her for five minutes about why she would do well in Slytherin or Gryffindor.  But Sky was determined to stay with her brother who was sorted before her into the house of lions so she argued right back.  The hat took this determination to mean that she was fiercely protective of her brother and would do anything it took to be by his side.  It sorted her into Gryffindor with her brother, but to this day, if you ask the hat, it will tell you that she would of made a better Slytherin.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Stubborn, obnoxious, rude, interrupting, but fiercely loyal of friends and family, to the point it’s almost obscene.  Sky will do anything to keep those she cares about safe.
