[Dec 3] Nobody's Perfect (Closed) on October 03, 2012, 10:39:25 PM Celina was not exactly proud of killing for a living, but it paid well, so she tried her best to get over it. This assassination, however, rather than being quick and high-paced, was tedious as the speed of a broken clock's arms moving a full circumference. She didn't just have to kill Hunter, but, on an unlucky streak, she had to stake out Knockturn. The general idea was that eventually he would enter the area, and Celina could appear suddenly… she'd have to make the rest up as she went. He was a potion smuggler and maker, and Cel guessed he had poked his nose in the wrong deal. The meticulous details were important to a wandering mind such as her's, and she liked to know these things if she could. Celina had been waiting for hours for this guy. She looked at her watch, and confirmed the time. Why wasn't he here yet? She wondered what he might have been busy with that day that kept him from coming. Her mind got wild when she was bored, in an attempt to be less bored. She almost took a nap right where she was, but Celina perked up suddenly when she saw the man passing by. She had nearly missed him. She clumsily rushed up to his side, tripping and falling on the hard ground as she did. She would've grinned if her ankle didn't hurt a bit too much. Just a bruise… whatever. So far, so good. He left his bag there, not wanting to forget it in some bar, or something like that. His thoughts fluttered to Julie, and he smiled. A quiet dinner in tonight. And it was going to be awesome. He pulled his jacket tighter around him, the december air nipping at him. Only 20 days to Christmas. Only 20 days! His thoughts were drifting, as he saw in the corner of his eye, a lady come crashing to the hard ground. "Oh my God, are you alright?" Mark said, spinning around. He got down on one knee, as he looked at her. "Hey. You okay? You crashed pretty hard." He extended a hand to her, to help her up. She got up on the second try. That was not exactly planned. "Thank you, sir. You are quite strong." She sweet-talked him a little. "I'm… fine," she lied. It wasn't going to be easy to kill this guy. She couldn't pull a knife or he'd probably escape, couldn't fight him or he'd probably win. He had muscle definition, that was for sure. She'd have to think up something soon… Hmm. Celina couldn't do much now, waiting for a perfect moment. "I'm Cecile. May I know your name, Mark?" Oops. She'd have to cover that up. "Well… you, you, look like a Mark, at least." She could've done better than that, for sure. Mark Hunter would have to be a fool not to see something wasn't quite right. All she could do was hope he was. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 3] Nobody's Perfect (Closed) Reply #3 on October 06, 2012, 07:44:27 PM The lady slipped again, as he helped her to her feet. She complemented him on his strength and he smiled. Growing up so wimpy he was glad when people realized his strength. He worked hard the summer of his 4th to 5th year to lose the pounds. And he did. He was able to get muscle mass, which definitely came in handy when working with his muggle uncle knowing he couldn't use Wingardium Leviosa. The lady called him Mark, but then reeled it back. There was something fishy going on. "Yeah. I'm Mark. Mark Hunter. And you are?" He asked. Maybe it would jog his memory or something. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 3] Nobody's Perfect (Closed) Reply #4 on October 07, 2012, 10:15:45 PM Hunter seemed quite satisfied with her compliment, but it was merely for show. He helped her up with one hand, la-dee-freakin'-da! Whatever, she'd just butter him up until they got a little closer, then she'd just kill him. Easier said than done, really. She looked Mark up and down, pretending to admire him. "You are quite handsome, too," she said. It didn't matter if he was the most handsome man on Earth when he bit the dust, as planned. Why did her ankle still hurt like that? She had intentionally fell, not accidentaly tripped. Maybe it was just her. Yeah, it was fine. "As I said, I'm Cecile…" She paused, pretending to feel insecure over giving out her last name - and at the same time, thinking of one. "Cecile Greene." It was the first thing that came to mind. And almost no relation to her own last name. Unless Mark saw her face and registered it as a killer's, she'd be fine. He said, blushing a little. She was being very nice, as she was just a stranger on the street. She introduced herself as Cécile Greene, and he scanned his memory. He didn't know a Cécile Greene. But hey, making new friends was always a good thing."Now, I must know, what is a lovely woman like you, doing in a place like this?" He smiled a little. She was probably lost, or maybe delivering a package for someone. She didn't look evil. Okay, she didn't look like a perfect Samaritan either. It didn't matter to him though. He had seen enough criminals who were kind to know not to judge. He didn't notice what she was up to, and he probably already thought she wouldn't hurt a fly. Some people were just too easy. They let their guard down after a little bit of talk and they're dead in the water. He was walking in Knockturn Alley, what did he expect? A whole bunch of happy people going about their legal business? That would be quite funny as a prank. This man was nice, calling her lovely and all that. Wait… Her palm nearly connected with her forehead. She could've been falling for her own trick, and think she was all smart and clever. She grinned bashfully. "I've gotten a bit lost, is this Diagon Alley? It seems like a sad place, nothing like I imagined," she lied innocently. This was like taking candy from a baby. A little bit of acting and he was dead. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 3] Nobody's Perfect (Closed) Reply #7 on October 07, 2012, 11:21:30 PM "No, I'm sorry. This is knockturn. Its a very grim place. You'll want to walk about 3 blocks up, and turn left." he smiled. Poor lady was very lost. And being lost in knockturn was one of the worst places one could ever be especially when one is young and pretty and as innocent as this lady was. "if you'd like, I could show you the way. I don't need to be home for another 30 minutes, so I mean, unless you don't want my help." he smiled. She was very kind. Maybe, too kind? He quieted the thought. She was probably just happy to see a friendly face. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 3] Nobody's Perfect (Closed) Reply #8 on October 07, 2012, 11:31:53 PM Of course, it's Knockturn. That was the beauty of this acting bit. She could tell what Hunter might say next and prepare herself for it. She put a perplexed expression on her face. "But I came from over that way," she argued, sounding confused and helpless. All she needed was a moment when his back was facing hers and he was dead, so she was glad to follow Hunter in the direction of Knockturn. She nodded vigorously. "Yes, please. Can you make sure no one here wants to…" She stepped a bit closer, doing her best to look afraid. "Hurt me?" Oh, the irony. "You seem more than able enough." He plastered the smile on his face, trying not to make it seem too obvious that he knew something was up. "I'd be more than happy to help you there." This woman did not seem so weak. She looked like she could protect herself, but who was he to judge? Mark stood closer to the woman. "Don't you worry. No one will get within 100 feet of you." He smiled again. Perhaps enough to arise suspicion. Oh, well, she supposed he was a happy man. It was a bit unsettling… did he know something she didn't, maybe that she was a murderer? She looked into his eyes, trying to read his expression. He looked sort of like… he knew something fishy was afoot. "Well… I was sort of kidding," she said, giggling. He stepped a little bit closer. She was tempted to kill him right then and there, but instead, she simply asked, "Take the lead?" Celina wanted his head to turn away so he didn't expect it. And if there was one thing he wasn't going to do, it would be to turn his back on her. First off, that wouldn't help with protecting her. He should have been in the back for that to work. "Look, I'll be honest. This seems really odd. I don't know. I've got like, a siren going off in my head, telling me this isn't a good idea." He admitted. "Maybe we can walk next to each other?" He asked. He didn't even know what to do in the situation. Skip to next post Re: [Dec 3] Nobody's Perfect (Closed) Reply #12 on October 09, 2012, 07:30:01 PM Shit. "W-we-well, that's fine," she stuttered, pretending to be scared once again, and covering up her own surprise. "We'll walk next to each other.
