HufflePuff Boy meets Gryfinndor Girl Cont. (Lexi)

on September 26, 2012, 08:06:15 PM

Jack finished getting rid of the vomit stained clothes and the stench. He quickly composed himself and sat in his bed. As time went by he began to question the girl... Lucy. She wasn't going to stop being mean to everyone and he knew others were in the same situation. Jack began to think he needed "Revenge." "NO" He thought. That's too cruel , he was raised better than that.

Deciding it's been 20 minutes he got up and left. Feeling much better Jack strolled along, beginning to regain his pep. He was almost running to the Greenhouses. He wasn't sure which one Lexi was in.

Getting down to the 1st Greenhouse he began to waltz along. 2nd one, 3rd one, where was she? He finally found her.
"Expecting some one?" He said

Lexi looked up with a grin, "You should know. But hey, you look much better than you did before." She closed her notebook, realizing that she'd gone from classwork to doodling and daydreaming.... she'd have to burn that later. Making a mental note of that, she tucked the notebook back into her bag.

"Why don't you take a seat? Step into my office," she joked with a wave of her arm and a fake monotone voice. But that sort of failed when she cracked on the last word and her voice rang out normal, high and clear, not monotone or dreadful like she'd been aiming for. "Sorry 'bout that, my throat doesn't like low tones."

"So, I know you're looking better, but are you feeling better?" She asked, knowing all too well that it was easy to mask pain and distress in trade for a false happiness. Lexi did it too often.

Jack heard her voice shoot up from her monotone and began to chuckle. "Careful that might happen during class" He felt much better after some time alone. He began to look at all the sleeping plants, letting his mind dance.

"Yeah...I just needed time to think."  He began to feel comfortable around the environment.

"Thinking is good. For most people. If you think too much though you can go crazy, just saying." Lexi said with a shrug, leaning forward to put her head in her hands, elbows propping herself up on the table.

"So you said you gave her candy, that wouldn't be like a jelly bean right?" She said, "Because that would have been lame. What did you give her?"

"I'm too crazy to go crazy" Jack began to laugh, he was back to his old self. He just needed to laugh. Just when he was about to finish he began to chuckle," I gave her something green, made of chocolate, and made her puke." They both started laughing at this ."haha...oh well... I began to think about her...she must be lonely. Your both first years do you know her well?"

"To say I knew her well would be an understatement. I got really close to knowing her fist well but I knocked her down before she could get to me. Plus sharing a room sort of kills the whole 'I-never-ever-am-going-to-talk-to-you' sort of mood. But really, she's just generally a not nice person. Once you get past the mean Lucy, she isn't half bad." Lexi said, biting her lip as she remembered the fight they'd had.

"Anyways, enough about her," she said, not wanting to drag on and on about someone who made everyday life hectic for the rest of them. Lexi's eyes suddenly lit up with excitement, "Tell me about the Astronomy room from last class! I was so upset that I didn't get to see it! Was it really cool? Somebody said there wasn't a roof, was that true?"

Jcack understood Lexi switch of topics and went with it "Uh ((Ahem Lexi he was not in that thread)) I know it used to have no roof but I believe they changes it to be indoors now with lots of glass." Jack wasn't all there during that lesson he was just out of it that day.

He began to get a little fidgety," Do you like wolves?" He asked. Jack always loved wolves. They were like dogs but much more free. He wanted to learn a transformation spell so he could walk around and almost be like a wild wolf. The thought continued to race through his mind.

Lexi almost rolled her eyes, Jack totally wasn't paying attention at all to the Astronomy room during that class. She assumed he must of been tired. It was practically midnight when class started.[1]

"Do you like wolves?"

Lexi paled, or she paled as much as a ginger could pale... which isn't much. But still. "I guess I like wolves," she said, picking up one of the dead leaves on the table and proceeding to fiddle with it. "I mean, that's like me asking you if you like humans!" She said defensively, then she backed off. "Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude."

Jack got the message. " Sorry I didn't know..."  He felt a little awkward. Attempting to change the mood he pulled out his wand and began to pick up a leaf. He continued for a few moments, stacking a small handeful into a pile. "Screw it." he said. he began to make a pile and started to look like a little kid. (oh wait...) He made a large enough pile and said"Ladies first"

"You just made a pile of dead leaves inside of a green house, honestly. And now you expect me to jump into said pile of dead leaves that may or may not have come from a poisonous plant?" Lexi said, one eyebrow raised in question. She used her wand to disassemble the pile and stood up with her bag in hand. "Come on, follow me." She said, walking outside the green house.

They were greeted by the cold and bitter November air and the sight of trees that had been shedding their leaves for at least two months now. "See, you need to use these kinds of leaves. Actual tree leaves. Otherwise, you won't have a big enough pile to jump in." She said, "Now you can try again, besides, this is good practice."

"oops" was all Jack could say "Hey give me credit, I had only a few seconds." Slowly following Lexi he agreed."This is better." when he heard practice he moaned," Yes mother I'll go study." After some quick ribbing at eachother they grabbed their wands and began to build. After a few minutes Jack began to jarble up his words " Winggarddiom Levias Blegh!" He needed toy let his tounge rest for a second. After a few laughs from Lexi he continued. "Lets try that again."

Lexi rolled her eyes, swishing and flicking her own wand and repeating the spell over and over again as the golden and burnt-colored leaves began to make a pile. If only she could have learned this sort of thing at home, making piles of leaves with Joshua and Lucas would have been so much more fun with magic. Plus they wouldn't have gotten into as many warrior fights with the rakes and the sticks that were lying around.

"You're doing good so far," she said, noticing his pile of leaves was only slightly smaller than hers. She turned her attention to moving all of her leaves into Jack's pile, it was slow and steady work, but she was getting the job done fairly easily. Plus, as she'd mentioned before, this was great practice for any future classes that required the spell.

Jack saw that his pile was slightly smaller than Lexi's. He didn't care but when he saw her mover her pile over to his it became a .5 meter mound of leaves about .5 meters around.

"This will be fun, once we finish" Jack said. He began to get a better hang of it and started to quicken his pace. When the pile was high enough for his standards he told Lexi to stop and watch. "My father taught me this" he said. Wit ha small flick of his wand he began to change the color of the leaves. Each crumpled or brown leaf began to turn into a more autumn color and he slowly was brightening the rest. After a few minutes of this he stopped. "Wow that was hard, never done so much before!" Jack stopped talking and just waited for Lexi to respond

Lexi watched in silent admiration, the spell was cool, and she had to give the kid his props. "You did good, for a Hufflepuff." She teased, but she was still grinning like an idiot because she was having way more fun out here than she would've inside by herself.

"I think it's done," she remarked, looking back at the pile of colorful leaves. "You might as well test it out, it was your idea after all."

Jack spent no time hesitating, he jumped in and was gone, only to pop up after a few silent moments. "Wow this is deep" Standing up it was up to his shoulders and lying down... well you couldn't see him. It was enough leaves to have 5+ people in there.

"Hop on in" Jack said, before he vanished again. As he squirmed through he saw what his spell did. It appeared as though it was the start of fall, were everything was lush and colorful. Even he was amazed at how good he preformed. No wonder Lexi was oogoling the pile. If he was a girl he would too. Then he heard rustling, "Must have jumped in!" He thought.
