Kitty trotted into the common room, hair perfect, nails perfect, outfit perfect (although extremely questionable by school-uniform standards). Glancing around, it was relatively quiet. The winter chill seemed to stifle all but the loudest of Hogwartians, and Kitty was rather glad of the peace. No terrified first years squealing every time they saw the infamous Slytherin approach, no fifth years showering her with praise in hopes of remaining unbullied. Truth betold, nobody was safe; a little information she'd acquired landed one of her own kind in the filth, and Kitty was more than happy to play messenger if it meant her own reputation remained intact.

Slithering around sofas, it looked like a usual night for Kitty: sit down, do minimal homework, catch dinner with Strellie then off to the Land of Nod for that essential beauty sleep. However, her eagle eyes were looking out for somebody in particular. She'd headed to the common room this evening with a motive. Only those closest to Kitty would identify that wry little smirk she held, and that glint in her eyes. The girl had gossip that night, and she wasn't afraid to divulge. To the contrary, she was dying to.

Finally, her gaze set upon Theo. The regal fellow had wisely secured a spot near the roaring fireplace - a nice contrast to the murky view of the lake depths. In an instant, she set herself down opposite, gently placing her handbag down beside her. As one leg crossed over the other, the girl leant forward. Every dangerous angle of her minute face was highlighted by the flames of the fire, as if she'd danced out of the hearth itself. "Darling, it's so lovely to see you." It was  a genuine greeting - Theo was one of the 'good ones' (by Kitty's standards, at least).

"It's been far too long, why you no want to see your good friend Kitty anymore?" she muttered, her voice tainted with mischief. Leaning back in her chair, slender arms seemed to melt upon the arms of the mottled leather chair. "Such a shame too. I think we've got so much to catch-up on too."

It wasn't overt, but Kitty wanted to provide an inkling for dear Theo that there was something noteworthy to be discussed - but this wasn't just idle gossip. He'd never be her first port of call (that was Demitria, of course), and there must've been reason why Kitty sought him out above all others.
