Physical Description: Topping out at 5' 8", Nikari is taller than most of the women in her family. She's got smoky grey eyes and long eyelashes, ending with a cupid's bow mouth and white blonde hair. Nikari often wears the darker colors, other than the light ones that her mother insists she wear. Black, dark blue, purple, dark green are the colors you often see her in, as well as a skirt to match and some boots. She has never been interested much in heels or makeup.
Often upon first glancing at Nikari you would think her veela. She will be quick to tell you that she's only half-veela and if she ever meets her lower than scum father she'll make him sorry she ever abandoned her. Though she's slight for her height, coming in at only 120 pounds, she packs quite a punch. She's one of those big things come in small packages people.
Nikari is rather proud of her hair, all the women in her family have it in one shade or another. She rarely does anything with it though. Most of the time you will see her with her hair down or pulled back into a low ponytail. If she's trying to impress someone she'll fix her hair with elaborate braiding and add a flower or two.
With her pale skin it is easy to tell when Nikari blushes, which is often. The pale red cheeks that come with blushing on normal people are a darker red on Nikari, it's almost crimson.
Personality Description: Nikari is a complex person. At one moment she's quiet and soft-spoken, and the very next she could be loud and obnoxious. She prefers to be quiet and listen because you never know what you might hear. But if you ask her about her family you will know her true feelings really quick as she is nice and calm when talking about her mother and brother and then she gets cold and angry when she mentions her father.
Although she tries to be the strong, silent type, Nikari has a tendency to wander off the beaten path to find something interesting. In fact, if her mother hadn't forced her into her job, she would be a nomadic witch, searching the continent for new and exciting things to do and see.
Easy to embarass, easy to make nervous, easy to flirt with. Nikari isn't able to curb these emotions. When she's embarrassed you'll know by the way she can't sit or stand still, nervous is when she begins to pace, and when she's flirting, it almost borders on the extreme.
Most of the time Nikari is a happy person, but she will occasionally get depressed. She will start thinking about her family and what it would be like if her father hadn't abandoned her as a baby.

Ayleen Avendale was a wanderer, she travelled when and where she pleased and only stopped when someone caught her interest. It was on one of these 'pauses' that she met Nikolas Harlow. He was a young Quidditch player that never made it past the second string.
She had attended the one game he had been fortunate enough to play (the other beater had been hit in the head by both a bludger and the bat of the beater who'd hit it) and he was entranced by her beauty.
Nikolas did what any young man would do in the presence of one so beautiful. He asked her out.
Amused by his antics, Ayleen said yes and let the young man take her to dinner. The whole time she thought that the boy was rather stupid, if he hadn't figured out what she was by now, he was never going to. But she fell under his spell too. It only took two more dates before she thought she was in love with him, and he with her.
The night was hell to be out in, heavy rain, high winds, and hail the size of marbles fell to the ground in sheets. She was in Nikolas' house, they having just finished a rather magnificent meal and were sitting by his fireplace just talking. Her charm was working hard that night, and one thing led to another, and you guessed it.
The next morning, Ayleen woke up entangled in the arms of Nikolas. She knew that something had come of the night of passion, but she didn't tell Nikolas until she was sure.
He didn't believe her at first, but when her stomach started to grow he was speechless. He was in his early twenties with a career that wouldn't last long because he wasn't very good at it, he didn't need a kid too. This he didn't say aloud to Ayleen, he was still under the Veela charm and couldn't break free.
The day came when little Nikari was born. It was a day, not unlike the day she was created. Heavy rain, high winds, and yes, even the hail. When Ayleen went into labor her charm broke for a moment and Nikolas' mind cleared. He was able to think rationally for the first time in months, instead of weighing the options of making Ayleen happy or going to work.
He dutifully sat in the hospital room holding Ayleen's hand throughout the whole labor process and even held the baby while the nurse cleaned her up.
Nikolas stayed in the hospital with Ayleen until the mediwitch told her it was okay for her to go home with her baby. It was then that Nikolas disappeared.
Ayleen looked for him for two months before realizing that she was never going to see him again and she turned her focus on her daughter.
Nikari grew fast and soon she was running after her mother happily on their wanderings. At two her hair was past her shoulders, at five, almost to her knees. When Ayleen decided to cut it then, Nikari cried and the man cutting her hair refused to cut it because he didn't want to upset the darling little girl. Ayleen took Nikari home and did it herself.
Unusual for Nikari to have a powerful Veela charm when she was only half-veela. Her charm should of been muted, but somehow it wasn't. Nikari had the charm of a full Veela and when Ayleen discovered this, she began to train the little girl on how to control the power she had.
At seven Nikari charmed the little boy down the street from the house they were staying in at the time to give her all his Halloween candy. He did, and then got his friends to give up theirs too. Nikari sorted through seven large pillowcases full of candy that year.
At nine, Nikari charmed her way into a rated R movie before her mother found her and after praising her ability, scolded her for running off.
At eleven, Ayleen and Nikari had stopped their wandering. They were living in a large cottage in Scotland and were quite happy, keeping only woman as their staff. Nikari had grown into a beautiful young girl and had long since learned to control her charm.
On her birthday a large black owl flew in the kitchen window and landed on the table. It was Nikari's Hogwarts letter. Two months of arguements between mother and daughter and Nikari was off to Hogwarts for her first year. She held back her charm, not wanting to use it at school, basically because her mother told her not to.
At the Sorting Ceremony she had a small argument with the sorting hat. It had wanted to place her in Slytherin because of her powerful charm, or Gryffindor because of her ability to hold it back. Nikari didn't want to go into either house, she'd heard all about Ravenclaw and knew it was the right place for her since she'd already read all of her first year books and had begun on her second year books. She went back on her mother's word just for a moment and tried to see if her 'charm' would work on the hat. It didn't and the hat quickly shouted out "HUFFLEPUFF" and then added only to her, "You should of never done that my child." As Nikari walked to the table where the badgers sat she looked back at the hat and could swear it was wearing a smirk.
She made a few friends in Hufflepuff and managed to keep her secret for the first two years at Hogwarts. In her third year she got frustrated with a boy in her Potions class. He was her partner and insisted on doing everything. He kept muttering that he shouldn't of been paired with a Hufflepuff, or a girl, Nikari got so angry that she let loose with her charm and got him to prance around the classroom declaring love for mountain trolls. She didn't use her charm much after that, only a little, but a few of her friends found out. They cornered her in the common room one day and point-blank asked her if she was Veela, when Nikari answered in the positive the girls got angry and the boys began hanging around her more. This caused the remaining four years to be very lonesome for Nikari as she preferred to stay away from the badgers and often stayed in empty classrooms or the Room of Requirement except for classes and meals.
After graduation she went home to find her mother had moved on. There was a letter addressed to her on the table in the foyer. Nikari sat down on the floor by the staircase to read it.
My darling Nikari,
You have graduated, I have done all that I can for you. It is time that you make your way in this world on your own.
The home is in your name and no payments are needed, there is a vault in your name at Gringotts and you will never
want for anything. It is all that I can do for you now, I am sorry that I didn't stay to say goodbye, but I felt that it was time to move on. You are my strong, brave, girl and can get whatever you want with a glance. Be careful whom you charm though, you might get hurt.

Nikari slowly sat the letter down and then looked around the foyer. It felt empty, she was alone now, free to do as she pleased. For one brief moment she felt like causing a scene in Hogsmeade using her full charm, but decided against it. What was she going to do now, all she knew was what her mother did before Nikari turned eleven, the roaming all over and staying where they pleased. As she thought about it, the idea sounded more and more tempting. So she did. She packed her bag that had no bottom and slung it over one shoulder and headed out.
She traveled all over Scotland, England, Ireland, and on a whim, South America. In every place she encountered different kinds of evil, the kind she had heard of , but never had the pleasure of running into. As her mother told her once, most of the evil people in the world would want to use her for her charm, get her to do things that were unspeakable. But as she used her charm to get most of them to turn themselves in or kill themselves if they wouldn't, she rather enjoyed it and decided after the last time, that it was time to go home.
She was almost
24 now, having been away for
five years, and after sitting at home for two days she got extremely bored. So she went to the Ministry and signed up for the Auror Training Program. She's a 1st year trainee now and can't wait until she gets to do something fun.
After a few days though, it was clear to Nikari that she didn't really like being at the beck and call of someone else and decided that she was going to quit. Her mother had left her enough galleons, knuts, and sickles to last her the rest of her life. It was time she started to enjoy that.
