----After locking lips with Ronni earlier in their little game, Blake had watched with interest as the rest of the smooches went. Some were quite chaste and awkward. Others were slobbery and engaged. And some were....interesting They sure ran the gamut of pairings, including an all girl lip lock between Lua and Ronni which raised some brows. Of course, not to be out done, when the time came for Blake and Kelvin to demonstrate the all guy equivalent, Blake was all for it.
[1]----Naomi had done her absolute best to ignore all the kissing, though she considered herself a good enough sport to sit around idly while her friends played this silly game. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at Blake getting in his first kiss with Ronni, who then went on to kiss everyone else--even Lua. Then it came time for Blake to kiss Kelvin, and she really wasn't sure what to make of that one, so she pursed her lips and tried to distract herself with the walls of the tent.
----Blake was all ready and primed for the kiss. He had no reason to be concerned about it even though he was sure some folks would view it as inappropriate. But he didn't care. They weren't here and he was. And this was research, gosh darnit! Unfortunately, before Blake could initiate the kiss with Kelvin (or even get close enough to him), the other boy hastily stood and bolted from the tent.
Blake frowned, not sure how to take that. But after a moment of silence, he turned towards Naomi. His expression brightened and even though she was pretending to be aloof and uninterested in their little experiment, he knew she had to be as curious as the rest of them.
----As soon as Kelvin bolted from the tent Naomi was absolutely baffled. Didn't he just kiss Lua and Ronni without a problem? While she didn't a boy kissing a boy made much sense, she didn't think it would be that
odd. Naomi continued to stare at the door, thinking that Kelvin might come back as she said, "Blake, what on earth did you do?"
----"I didn't do anything," he protested with a shrug. He cast a questioning look to Ronni. "I'm not that bad, am I?" Just as quickly the words came out, Blake wished to have them back. He held up his index finger to stop her from saying anything. "Don't answer that!" Instead, Blake scooted towards Naomi. Smirking, he suggested, "Naomi can tell me."
----As Blake began protesting his kissing abilities, Naomi turned and arched an eye brow at Veronica as the Ravenclaw asked her to rise to his defense, but then he changed his mind just a quickly! Naomi turned away again and held a hand over her mouth as she gave a throaty laugh. Then Blake said something confusing... that
she could give an opinion.
She lowered her hand, letting her giggling fade as she turned towards Blake with a dazed, "Wha?"
----"What?" Blake echoed with his blue eyes full of innocence. He continued to scoot closer and asked, "You mean you don't want to kiss me? Oh c'mon, Ny. It's just a silly kiss. Nothing to be scared of." Blake reached out and gently took hold of his friend's hand, attempting to tug her closer to him. Then he tacked on, "I promise I won't bite!"
----Naomi shifted her shoulders and leaned away from Blake as he drew closer to her and she eyed her friend suspiciously. But then her mouth limply hung open as she realized what her friend was doing... with the way he phrased the question the witch couldn't really think of a reason to say 'no,' and then she couldn't even think about quite what to tell him she felt his hand wrapped around hers. If it were any other guy's hand, she'd have broken it; instead, she just stared at it for a moment before she tried to lean back away again, "Blake, 'dat's not fair, I wasn't playing."
----"I'm not either," he said, his brow furrowed seriously for perhaps the first time all night. Blake didn't understand her hesitance. Afterall, it's not like what they were doing was dangerous. Blake was almost disappointed that his usually daring and fearless friend was balking now.
And then he thought that maybe she just needed more assurance from him. He gave her hand a squeeze and then tugged her closer again. And without waiting for her to protest any further, Blake leaned in and planted a kiss square on her Slytherin lips!
----His reply drew a hesistant stare from Naomi and she searched his face for some clue as to why Blake had suddenly gotten serious. He didn't have a problem the last time she somewhat told him no. Did she upset him this time? She was now absolutely convinced that kissing people was a
horrible idea, but that didn't stop Blake, apparently.
His firm grip and sudden tug surprised her, and she quickly raised her free hand and braced it against his chest. She opened her mouth as her mind desperately grasped for something logical to say to him, but she was too slow--he had already leaned in and pressed his lips against hers!
Now she just couldn't think about anything
except Blake kissing her, how his hand was still holding hers, how close they were, how his lips felt--she was hoping she could also figure out how was she suppose to tell him stop.
----After a moment of letting the kiss unfold, Blake pulled back a bit so that his face remained inches from Naomi. His blue eyes searched hers for a reaction and there was hope there that it would be a positive one. Afterall, it was just a kiss, right?
----Once Blake broke this kiss, Naomi waited for him to do or say something else as she rolled her lips together and held her breath inside her chest. She expected the Ravenclaw to move back and go and kiss someone else or at least let go of her hand...
Naomi clenched her teeth together as she pulled one hand away from his chest before letting her gaze drop to her other hand, still trapped within Blake's grasp, "Okay..." cautious green eyes rose to meet Blake's stare again,"Are we done?"
----"Done?" Blake emitted with barely a thought. Then he glanced down at their clasped hands and it dawned on him what she meant. His eyes flew back to her face to see if she was mad and then he abruptly let go. "Yeah.....sure. We can be done," he muttered.
----Once freed, Naomi placed her palm on the tent-floor behind her and let her eyes wander over the ground until her eyes landed on her grumbling bag. "Kay," she echoed again, trying to sound upbeat, but only managed to sound distracted and lost. Then she pushed herself off the ground and snatched up her bag as she began to move towards the exit, "I'm going to look for Kelvin," she turned her glance back to Blake and then everyone else before she ducked out of the tent where a strand of her hair had melted into a white curl.
