Today's wind was chillier than anticipated when she had left an hour ago, but the car ride alone from Portsmouth to London was good considering the music choices were able to be chosen by herself. Currently, it was British Invasion on the music player and Addie was singing to it as she exited off the A1 to drive towards where she'd be able to park the WV, followed by entering Diagon Alley.

-Forty five minutes later-

The van was securely locked and the spells placed upon it were active just in case someone got friendly fingers with it. Entering the Leaky Cauldron, Addie definitely looked like a Muggle as she was dressed in the typical hoodie, sock cap and jeans that were the normal fashion this time of year.

No doubt a few heads turned (and a few disgruntled words uttered) as she passed older and wizened members of the community and headed onward. Tapping the bricks were now like cake to Addie and soon, the young witch was heading into Diagon finally.

Her feet headed off towards Reducto to find back issues of Weird Sisters and to see if Three Owl had any new records in or even if there were back issues of their music. Humming quietly, Addie passed through the Monday crowds with relative ease as she eventually made her way into the shop.

"...Hullo? Miss Tilly? Missus J? Hellooooooo?"

Ruby was finally finding her own rhythm, between working all day and well into the night she didn't get to see Theta as much as she would have liked but then the other witch had a fairly crazy schedule as well. They hadn't been living together long, and she still missed Kale sometimes but... it was for the best. If she was going to avoid making the same mistakes her mother made she couldn't be falling into the pattern of an old married couple before she was even twenty. She just assumed he was happy with the new arrangement because it meant he could bring whomever he wanted back to his flat and there wouldn't be the awkward explaining.

She had just poured herself a fresh cup of tea when she heard the bell ring, indicating that someone had arrived. She poked her head out of the backroom and smiled brightly at her old Hogwarts roommate, "Morning Addie. Just me at the moment, my day to open". She pursed her lips to one side as she set her tea down on the counter, "I could fix you a cuppa if you like"? It was strange, not really knowing how to talk to the other girl anymore. They hadn't been exactly close, especially after everything with Matteo and her sister, but she couldn't help feeling a little sorry for the girl. Not knowing where the person you loved most in the world was had to be the worst kind of suffering.

She had seemed alright two weeks ago or so at Fauna and Grace's Halloween party, but Ruby knew better than anyone the stages of grief could be erratic at best. It was a Monday morning, there wouldn't be much of a rush for her attention from anyone else. As she waited for the other witch to answer she flipped through a stack of records, before finally settling on the newest release from Nola and the Knockturnals. For someone who had never been infatuated with the music scene Ruby rather adored their drummer Iggy Prewett. The dark melodic wrock soon filled the store and Ruby turned back to Addie, "Looking for anything in particular or just an excuse to get out"?

Addie's lips curled into a soft smile when her eyes and ears fell upon Ruby. Cue the second person from school she had seen since Theta's visit the other day and then of course, she had seen both at the party. The party before her worries made her a full fledged nervous wreck. Her brain issued a red flag of warning, hoping Addie would take it as a clue to leave it alone. She did as her smile stayed fixated upon her lips. "I'd love a cuppa, if'ye please, Rube," Addie replied as she took her gloves off, looking around the store while the dark wrock lingered in her brain.

Not too shabby, but it'd take time to get used to listening on. Addie reminded to ask Ruby about it later on because right now, hot tea and a good conversation with an old classmate sounded pretty good to her. Addie flopped onto one of the stools she had grabbed and proceeded to lean on the counterspace. "....Da was curious to see if there's any way old back issues of the Weird Sisters records and I'm here on a mission of both record seeking as well as to get out of th' house."

The smile mixed with a look that made Addie appear puzzled. "I know 'f I didn't get out today, the fam was going t'kick me keister." Her nose crinkled at the prospect. "I'm not up for that idea, yeah?"
