Physical Description

Iggy is five foot ten, and on the average to thin side weight-wise.  Generally depending on how close the full moon is.  Having a relatively steady income allows him to keep his strength up so that the full moon doesn't affect him as much, but the transformation always takes something out of him.  He has blue-green eyes, dark hair, and fair to tan skin, which helps show off his various tattoos.  He is rarely clean shaven, and he usually looks a little on the grungy side, though this is mostly due to his clothes and hair rather than a general lack of proper hygiene and has more to do with the band's style than his own personal style.  He does tend to clean up and put on more conservative wizard robes when he visits the family.

Personality Description

Iggy is not the type to lose his cool but once his temper is roused it takes a while for him to come back down and move past it.  He is incredibly loyal to his friends and family, or at least the ones that stuck with him after he was bitten.  He is fascinated by all things muggle and he finds great enjoyment in music.  Being forced by circumstance to abandon his dream of working with muggles for becoming part of Nola & the Knockturnals, he is a more passive member of the band, that is not to say he doesn't work hard and perform well, but he leaves the business side to the others as long as he gets paid.

He is still close to his parents, especially since his safe room his there so he sees them at least every full moon.  He is not one to push around, he can be incredibly stubborn if pushed but if approached and reasoned with can be swayed.  Since being bitten his relationships rarely last past the next full moon, and often not even that long.  He very rarely goes home after a gig without at least one person joining him.

History

Ignatius Prewett V was born in Westbury on April 21st, 1990 to Ignatius Prewett IV and Ursula Crouch, two members of old wealthy pureblood families[1].  Iggy grew up in a family that encouraged him to seek out his follow his own interests, and despite their proud pureblood status continued to encourage him when his interests were not strictly magical in nature.  He started drum lessons when he was seven, mostly as a way for his parents to keep him occupied while they were at work, since despite his pleading, he was not allowed to attend a muggle primary school.  His other interests dealt mostly with the mundane world of the muggles.  Iggy was fascinated with muggles and how everything functioned without magic.

When he was finally able to go to Hogwarts he managed to convince his parents to send him enough parts of his drum kit to keep in practice, which did not go over well with his Gryffindor dorm mates.  It was a fun hobby that gave him an excuse to put off homework when he felt more like practicing than writing a long explanation about this herb or that hex.  When it came time to pick elective courses he jumped at the chance to take muggle studies.  The class quickly became one of his favorite, not to mention best, classes.

When it came time for O.W.L.s he managed to get an outstanding only in Muggle Studies, and a handful of others.  He considered dropping out and going into Muggle Relations at that point since all they wanted was an O.W.L. in muggle studies but his parents convinced him to stay for two more years, try for a N.E.W.T. in muggle studies and the couple other classes he qualified for and they would help introduce him to the right people at the Ministry to get him into a slightly less entry level job.  Something they explained to him could only happen if he stayed through his seventh year at Hogwarts.

It ended up being a great decision for Iggy to stay as in his sixth year Magnolia Nettlebottom's band, Nola and the Knockturnals.  It finally gave him an outlet for the years he had been playing drums, and something to help pass the time for his last two years at Hogwarts.  He was good and while he had fun in the band it wasn't his dream to be a musician, he still planned on joining the Ministry after graduation.

It wasn't even a full month after leaving Hogwarts that he was bitten by a werewolf on the full moon. His family was supportive, helping him through the healing process, building a secure room for him to transform in.  They even tried to use their connections to get Iggy the job in Muggle Relations that he had wanted for years but while it was never said outright that he couldn't work there, it was hinted that werewolves couldn't be trusted to work with muggles and the position he had spent two extra years at Hogwarts to get disappeared after his first full moon and transformation.

It wasn't long after that he came back to Magnolia and asked if she still needed a drummer.  It wasn't his dream but it was at least fun, and given what he knew about Magnolia she wouldn't be too concerned with the werewolf thing.  Iggy explained to her upfront that he was a werewolf and given the circumstances it was obvious that the band wasn't his first choice, but she still let him back in.  Her only concern being the difficulty scheduling gigs around the full moon.  The time since has seen him become more comfortable with being a musician, and seen him become an even better drummer.

 Iggy is living a life he never expected to live, a drummer and a registered werewolf, he had planned on working with muggles after leaving Hogwarts.  Relatively calm he rarely gets into fights, but is stubborn enough not to get pushed around.  That isn't to say he doesn't enjoy himself, he usually has someone to help keep the bed warm and he loves the music.

Why have you chosen to change careers?:
After being injured in the attack on The Leaky Cauldron and then his public outing as a werewolf, he quit the band.  He took a few months off, dealing with his issues, and after a suggestion from his Great Uncle decided to become a werewolf mentor in September of 2011.

Elaborate on your expertise in this new field:
He has dealt with being a werewolf both privately and more recently publicly.   He didn't have any practical experience mentoring before taking the job.

Describe your new job and how you go about doing it:
He works with a few new werewolves on dealing with Ministry bureaucracy and guidelines.  He is still learning on the job what kind of mentor he wants to be.

He is more likely to ask family members for help rather than get help through official channels, though he does reach out to the other mentors when he can.
