[May 2] Attack at Remembering Day: Two Killed on May 11, 2009, 02:56:24 PM Friday - 2 May 2008Attack at Remembering Day: Two Killedby Niobe ThursbyHogsmeade - A Hogwarts student has killed an Auror and Wizengamot member last night in Hogsmeade. The attack occurred following the unscheduled appearance of Theodora Kingstreet. The student, who was identified as Kyle Gibson (17), charged on stage and cast a spell killing Auror Benjamin Timmons. Then, holding Wizengamot Elder Leon Carter at wandpoint, demanded Kingstreet be surrendered to him.There was a stand-off with the highest ranking members of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, but before any negotations could begin, Kingstreet cast a spell that blasted both Gibson and Carter from the platform. Carter was greviously injured in the fall and was announced deceased upon arrival at St. Mungo's. Gibson escaped by broom through the Forbidden Forest.Seventy-four persons suffered minor injuries related to the commotion of evacuating the stadium.The Department of Magical Law Enforcement has not yet released a report.Remembering Day events will continue as scheduled.Any witches or wizards with information about the attack should owl the DoMLE immediately.
