[November 21st] A hero is someone we can admire without apology. (Closed to Han) on August 09, 2012, 01:30:54 AM 5 o' clockMason had spent a lot of his day in the bathroom. He escaped to the Room of Requirement where he seemed to be going a lot lately, since last week. The room had transformed into a kitchen for his use. He had all the baking supplies he needed from the house elves that donated him things that would go bad and they couldn't use, things he could use to apologize to Rohan. He kneaded and chopped and sat in front of the oven until, pop!Apple pie.He ran to the owlry to send a note to Rohan.Han, we need to talk, meet me in the Room of Requirement at 5:10 He hustled back to his kitchen. He had already made up with Thea and Chloe, but Rohan was still fuming mad at him. His pie was done and it sat on the pie, resting. "Where are you Han?" Mason said to himself as he looked at his watch. "He should be here in 5 minutes"Mason busied himself trying to clean up and distract himself, but he kept sitting in his chair, and tapping his foot. He almost forgot the ice cream! He jumped to the small fridge where the vanilla ice cream, sat, alone in the freezer, also given by the house elves in the basement. He bent down to get it, his head in the freezer, reaching for it. Skip to next post Re: [November 21st] A hero is someone we can admire without apology. (Closed to Han) Reply #1 on August 09, 2012, 01:43:14 AM Rohan was painting his latest masterpiece, an intricate absract art concept. The canvas was covered in patterns and little splotches of color for dramatic affect. He wasn't painting his feelings, he was just making art for fun and entertainment. As his steady hand guided the paintbrush lightly across his creation, he heard the coo of Peregrine. He turned to see his owl by the window next to his bed. Peregrine had a small note tied to his leg, and it looked as if it were the work of Mason. Ugh. He thought. He read the note. "Oh, another room of requirement meeting. More truth or dare?" Rohan muttered to himself. He had had enough of that kid's antics! He stayed up in the dormitories, ignoring Mason's request. He can kiss my ass. (Closed to Han) Reply #2 on August 09, 2012, 01:55:55 AM After another 10 minutes of waiting, Mason went out of the room, and up to the dorms. He walked into the room, Rohan was set up by his easel, painting a jumble of colors ans smears that Mason couldn't get. He wasn't an artist, he was a writer, a baker, and a geek. He closed the door behind him."What are you doing? Did you get my note?" mason crossed his arms and started tapping his foot. "I worked hours to make something for you, would you come to the Room of Requirement so i can show you how sorry I am?!" He yelled at the last part, desperation sneaking into his voice as he stared at Rohan's back. Skip to next post Re: [November 21st] A hero is someone we can admire without apology. (Closed to Han) Reply #3 on August 09, 2012, 02:03:23 AM He read Mason like an open book. He was quite obviously desperate for something, based on the way his voice pitched as he called to him. "Yeah, you made me another potion so I can spend hours smothering myself in paint."He kept his back turned, focusing on his painting. But not entirely. "Sorry for what, forgetting to insult me?" His painting got a little more angry, despite how hard he tried to simmer down."Listen, I don't want to go to the room of requirement so I can hear you cry yourself to sleep and play truth or dare. Oops, did I say that?" He knew he burned deep in Hawkins although he wasn't even looking at him. Skip to next post Re: [November 21st] A hero is someone we can admire without apology. Mason walked behind Rohan, grabbed the paint brush he was using, creating a yellow slash a few inches down the paper and threw it on the ground. "Come with me" He grabbed Rohan's arm. He started walking towards the door, he turned his face back to Rohan. "Please Rohan? Please?" Mason was going to explode if Han refused to go with him, his face read sadness, sweat on his forehead from sitting in from of the oven and caramelizing the apples. "I really wanna apologize for treating you badly, I wanna make it up to you and this is the only way I know how" Skip to next post Re: [November 21st] A hero is someone we can admire without apology. (Closed to Han) Reply #5 on August 09, 2012, 02:20:15 AM "Yeah, but you knew how to completely humiliate me in more than one way!" Mason tugged on Rohan's arm, his face desperate. It was kind of funny that although he was four inches taller, Mason couldn't get Rohan to move not one inch. "Fine, I'll play your stupid game." But before he withdrew from the room, he stated, "You messed up my painting, too. Another thing to add to the list of things you have done. All the more reason why I shouldn't be doing this. I'd probably be better off saying windgardium leviosa and leaving you floating." Skip to next post Re: [November 21st] A hero is someone we can admire without apology. Red red red red red, every where. A small card sat on the table. Mason gestured towards the pie. "Eh?" He said, pulling out Rohan's chair. "You want ice cream, yes?" He said holding a spoon in one hand, the carton in the other, cups and plates and forks poofed onto the table."Coffee or milk?" Mason asked, headed for the fridge again. Seeing the ridiculous amount of red, he couldn't help but grow a little annoyed with the color selection. "Coffee at 5:10 PM? Are you planning on keepining me up all night listening to your horrible voice sing? And, to clarify, I'd like milk. As long as there's no arsenic involved here." He examined the room as Mason reached into the fridge, pulling out a gallon of milk. He saw a small table in the center, with a red tablecloth covering it. An apple pie sat in the middle, like a centerpiece. Delicious. Rohan loved apples, but strawberries always cane out on top. Oh well. As he viewed the table, he spotted a big tub of ice cream, which he imagined would be acompanied by the fantastic-looking apple pie. The fact that Mason had done all this was a bit creepy, but nice nonetheless. Rohan tried to hide the surprise on his face as he looked up from the table. He didn't want Mason to know he was impressed. Skip to next post Re: [November 21st] A hero is someone we can admire without apology. (Closed to Han) Reply #8 on August 09, 2012, 10:34:19 AM Mason ignored Rohan's negative responses, and scooped ice cream onto the plates. He tapped around the edges of the pie with a knife, making sure the crust was solid. He stuck the knife in and cut with an up and down motion. He used a cake server to place the piece on Rohan's plate."I'm not desperate, I just want things to go back to the way they used to be. I made you this pie after you released us from the bathroom today, It got really hot in here, which was actually great, considering it's been so cold lately." Mason poured the milk into the cup. He poured coffee into his glass, he was drinking a lot of coffee lately, and eating a lot of sponge cake. He guessed he was a nervous eater. The apple pie was glazed into crystallized sugar, adding sweetness to every bite , off setting the tartness of the apples. "I guess it's an 'I'm sorry' pie, and I really am sorry Rohan, for everything I said and did." Skip to next post Re: [November 21st] A hero is someone we can admire without apology. "I guess it's an I'm sorry pie, and I really am sorry Rohan, for everything I said and did.Nothing sounded more sincere, more honest, more apologetic than what Mason had just said. "Hm... That card was a little over the top. But I accept your apology. As long as you feed me more pie." He grabbed a freshly appearing fork and tried a bite of the pie with a little bit of ice cream.
