Physical Description:
Clean-cut and attractive, Arius is described in the modeling world as tall, dark and handsome. He stands at six feet tall and believes that to be a good height for his chosen career. He has broad shoulders and a strong build though he is by no means bulky. It would be best to say he is muscular and yet slender, athletic. He usually stands straight, with his head held high. He has learned too much from modeling to be found dead slouching, however sometimes he can be found in contraposto, particularly when trying to make a point. His stance oftentimes gives others the idea that he is cocky.

There is a certain chiseled look to his features which is special to him alone. Throughout the world it is recognizable by fashion mavens and anyone who reads magazines or looks at billboards. His face has been plastered on everything they can get him to agree to. No cereal boxes or action figures yet though. His eyes can be playful and serious in one instant switching between the two. They are often alit with mischief and he has a wonderful glint that enters them when he comes up with a plan. His smile is broad and not often seen. When he smiles, his bright teeth and even more light to his persona. However a true smile is rare. There is a certain flair for the dramatic in him that is often expressed in his face when he isn’t using his stone cold “modeling” expression. Most often, he is seen wearing the cocky grin or smirk belonging to a person who truly believes they are Merlin’s gift to women.

He is always dressed impeccably, whether he is wearing sweatpants or a tailor-made suit he keeps his clothes clean and pressed and his shoes shined. His clothing collection is large and varied. He is known to don only designer brands, designers from either world, and this makes people believe him vain - which he is. His outfits are chosen to best accentuate his body and he would rather be overdressed than under, so he can sometimes choose outfits that would be considered, flashy.

As for accessories, Arius has a large collection of jewelry as well as an impressive aray of sunglasses. He adores them all and tends to give things away as the season is over, unless they happen to be classics. However, anything that he believes will never be coming back he rids himself of as soon as the trend is over. However, his clothing do tend to give one a good idea of who he is. They always match and are accessorized only with the best that money can buy. Not to mention the flowing locks which are always groomed to perfection.

Personality Description:
Arius is, above all things, a public figure. As a model, people expect him to walk a certain way, think a certain way, speak a certain way, etc. Arius has no problem living up to this image that people have of him. Those who are closest to Arius have no doubt that he is much more than a vapid and shallow supermodel. In fact, they all know that he is much more than that. However, it is easier to allow people to believe that he is stupid though the Wizarding World has all the facts to know that he is not, as evidenced by his Alumni status at Hogwarts, where he was a Ravenclaw. It makes his life easier to let the public believe what they will, not to mention that he loves the role of the model, he chose that job and plays it well. Besides, if people were to see what Arius was really like, all of his mystique would be gone.

There are many words that have been used to describe Arius, some pleasant and others not so pleasant – though these are generally thrown out by bitter lovers and those he calls “the ugly people”. Many people believe that he is truly nothing more than vapid and shallow. Of course, that is all part of his public persona. Though he is really vain, conceited and egotistical, yet that comes with the territory of having his beauty praised all day. He chose a career in which one does not get so far by being intelligent, but rather by what their reputations are and what public opinion is. No one expects models to be intelligent, they want just a pretty face to look at, and Arius can provide that.

Arius is, however, cunning and clever. He knows when to play which card and has shown that he can fool the world into believing that he is much less intelligent than he actually is. He can display quick wit and simply chooses not to let everyone see every side of him. After all, not everyone needs to know every aspect of your personality. Some might have felt that he was best suited for Slytherin, though he did not know if he agreed. He felt like the sorting hat was right in putting him into Ravenclaw. For though he can be cunning and sly, it is not the entirety – nor is it even a fascinatingly large part – of his personality. No, he is clever and witty and these traits shine through more often than his cunning.

Arius does have, however, several major character flaws. He is proud, vain, judgemental, arrogant and full of himself. He believes that everyone adores him and has no regard for personal space, whatsoever. He thinks people should feel fortunate to hve him in their presence at all and should essentially worship the ground he walks on. Not to mention the way he judges those who have a lack of fashion sense - unless of course they are his friends then it's okay. He thinks very highly of himself, which simply comes with being praised all of the time and being told of his perfection.

Yet, that is all nothing more than his outside persona, well, except for being vain and arrogant and puffed up like a peacock.

Despite what he shows the world, on the inside Arius would actually be considered a softie. He is a sweetheart with a heart of gold, though he keeps that well hidden except from a few select people. After all, if anyone knew that he was so nice it would break down his entire playboy image. However, he does have a soft spot for certain people and places and things. He tends to take care of these as well as he can and he worries about them often. It is a rarity to actually see this side of Arius, and the odds that anyone is let in this far into his life are very, very slim.

There is a dark nature in his person as well, and it takes little to anger him or to bring out his jealous side. For all of his good traits, Arius is flawed. He has what can best be described as a latin temper, like a volcano his temper will explode and the next minute he may not be upset anymore, he is unpredictable. Not to mention the fact that despite his fabulous lifestyle that would be the envy of just about anyone, he can be incredibly jealous. This is especially true in the case of many of his good female friends when he does not believe a man is good enough for them.

Despite the openness in the public eye Arius is very secretive. While the Tristisa family name is widely known on the International black market, it is not something Arius likes the whole world knowing. When anyone asks, his father is a prominent businessman and nothing more, and so Arius keeps that cover. He knows it will be useful in the future to have people without seedier connections not know who he is, and pays large sums of money for quiet, and when people don't listen he knows how to dispose of them. The public sees him as a dumb model and that is the perfect cover for when he pursues the family business.


History:
Vincenzo Marcello Tristisa was the son of a prominent mafioso in the Tuscan region of Italy. He had been involved in the mob scene for several years now, and his family controlled the little village of Italian Wizards nearby from their house on the hill. His father was high up, and they were – what one might call – an “international” family. So, when the chance came to unite two powerful families across continents, Vincenzo answered the call without question. Thus, he made his way to southern France, to claim his fair bride, Henrietta Claudette DeLaMer. Her father was an important man in the French Wizarding World. He was a businessman who had a hand in the underbelly of the Wizarding World, the International Black Market.

The two wed in a large ceremony that was much talked about on the continent. After all, the continent had no problems with any dark wizards for the moment. They could live in peace, and the trade that Henrietta’s father had in England was going better than ever. With the amount of dark wizards on the rise, his trade went up exponentially. It was wonderful, to have life going so well. The Tristisa’s were doing very well too, mainly from export of the wine from their vineyard. They hadn’t really had that many “jobs” in the past few years. They worked in a large part as protectors of the DeLaMer family when they went out on trades. They played the role of bodyguards.

Two years after the wedding, they had their first – and only – child. He would be the heir to the fortunes of the two families. One day, he would be expected to take over the spot his maternal grandfather now filled. However, that would not be for many, many years. Now, Arius was doted on as the baby of the family. No one expected very much of anything from him. After all, they knew that he was going to be perfect and wonderful. There was nothing that might tell them that he would be less than extraordinary. He was their pride and joy and he would always be so.

Arius was a magnificent child, and no one in his family ever would have complained. He was mischievous though no one one begruged him these oments. After all, he was their baby and so was able to get with murder – though this is a little common in the Tristisa family, so perhaps it is best to say “get away with homicide”. The Tristisa’s did believe it was better to maim, but if it was ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY did not hesitate to dispose of people. More often though, it was a matter of broken limbs.

He was home schooled up until the age of eleven, when he was invited to Beauxbatons Academie de Magie, Durmstrang and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This caused several disputes and problems as the family feuded over one school versus another. The DeLaMer’s siding with Beauxbatons and the Tristisa’s calling for Durmstrang. In the end, it was decided that the boy would be sent to Hogwarts. It was the neutral school, and that was in their best interests. After all, the school had a neutral view and it could maybe help in beginning the cleansing of the Tristisa name. Not that they planned on changing anything, but a better reputation would have been nice.

So, Arius was shipped off to England at the age of eleven to board the Hogwarts Express and make his way to Hogwarts; to the school where he would make a name for himself and gain a reputation that would follow him for the rest of his life. He began as a pampered baby, one who was pompous and used to getting his way. Yet, he was intelligent and this somehow overrode the qualities that should have put hi in Slytherin, and instead favored Ravenclaw. This was actually a relief to his family and his intelligence was much lauded by his familiars. They insisted – of course – that Arius was most intelligent. They were soon well pleased with the choice of sending Arius to Hogwarts.

After seven years at Hogwarts, Arius left ready to face the world, with numerous flings under his belt and lifelong friends he had made. He opted to enter the modeling industry and to this day does not regret his choice. Recently he has also been involved in running his own magazine, Peacock. He has chosen to base his empire in England because he has so many friends and connections there. Modeling in Italy is all muggle whereas the British Wizarding World offers more interesting propositions and people.

How does your past and abilities justify your current skills?:
Well, he goes to a big studio, they dress him do his makeup and then he stands there and looks pretty for the camera. He is good-looking, was approached by an agent and accepted. For modeling you don’t really need skills other than following directions and being pretty (ie All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten). However, he does use skills that he learned during his short career to run his own magazine, as well as basic English schools and marketing, if his face is on just about anything it will sell.

Writing Sample:
Turn, pull coat into body, lick lips, stare longingly. Those were the directions that had been given for this shoot at the moment. He was supposed to look nonchalant as the fans blew in the room to make him comfortable, although he was supposed to look as though the coat was keeping him as warm as he could possibly be. In truth, he was warm and perhaps a little uncomfortable, but that was okay. Arius had grown used to days like this. He simply took today as another day of being beautiful. After all, a face like his had to be shared with the world and so he had chosen the perfect profession. Not only did he monopolize the wizarding market but the muggle markets as well, he had certainly made his way to superstardom in both societies. It was certainly a hard day’s work to be like this for some people, yet to Arius it came naturally. He was – after all – gorgeous.

He was finishing up that scene when a new girl stepped into the room, and Arius licked his lips again, his eyes taking on a certain wolfish quality as he only thought fresh prey. Perhaps he had been hanging around wolfish friends a little too much, but this should be fun. After all, today was a day of work in the muggle world and that meant that it was easier than a day of work in the wizard world because he could dupe them all into believing he was the most glorious thing to ever have existed. Well, he believed it, it was only natural thus that everyone else should believe it as well. So, when he set his eyes on the new prey the other models looked on, some with jealousy and others simply with a small shake of the head because they all knew what would come next.

The next outfit was a black suit and he had been fixed again to look even more dashing than he had before. It was a spread for the muggle brand Dolce&Gabbana, a brand that Arius found to be a good model of Italian craftsmanship. The girls who entered the room again were no longer snow bunnies, now they were all sophisticated women whose bodies were accentuated well by the drape of each of the different dresses that they wore. He would be shot with all of them. It was simply marvelous and all in a day’s work. The old girls came in fairly easily, and soon gave in to the pulsing music that was playing to get them all pumped for the shoot and to Arius’ charms as he whispered soft words into their ears. These muggle women were far too easy in his opinion. Then again, most of the models at this shoot knew him, and now it was just the new girl who was left to be captivated.

The girl was soon thrown in front of the camera, and into Arius’ arms. She was supposed to look as though she had never enjoyed herself so much in her life, as though no other man had ever captivated her. She was stiff, as most girls came to him, but he was good at loosening them up. “Focus on me,” he said, leaning in close to whisper in her ear. “It’s easier than it seems. Loosen up, darling.” He kissed her neck softly, just below her ear and smirked against her skin as she gave into him, leaning in the way the photographer wanted. Arius was good at doing such things. What would the company do without him to loosen up their models? New girls were often sent to Arius shoots, because they knew that within a few shoots he would have them loose enough to be able to be with anyone else. No one could deny that Arius had a talent.

There were few words anyone in the business could use to describe him and generally it was left to “its just Arius”. That was used to justify a lot of his actions. There were certain things he did that no one else would have been allowed to do; yet they forgave him for these things, because they knew that he was just Arius. No one could really control him as well as he could control others and he made their other models pliable, the girls seemed to enjoy working with him as well. Perhaps it was because unlike the other models at the company, Arius had brains as well as a body to go with it. Looks, charisma and wit all came in handy, and the women seemed to fall all over him. Not all of their models were stupid, but well, there is a reason they became models rather than astrophysicists.

The girl loosened up, yet she was still tight. “Okay, I can’t work like this,” Arius called out, and the girl shied away from him. “Breaktime, and can someone please get me a Perrier in a glass with a lime wedge? All these lights are dehydrating me.” He walked off the scene and onto the side where his assistant – a lovely girl who wasn’t made of the stuff to be a model, but who Arius had found very attractive – quickly ran up with a water bottle. The new model simply stared and everyone else shook their heads at Arius and his whims. He tended to call off shoots like this for his breaks. He sat on the side, massaging his temples softly as the new girl still stood in shock, wondering what she had done. He sighed heavily, and a smirk overtook his face as he stood up, and moving quick as a flash was upon the girl again.

He had her in his arms, and was kissing her softly before she could protest. Soon she was as pliable as any other and when he pulled away, there was a look of lust in her eyes as she looked at him that was exactly what the camera wanted. He looked at the camera with a smirk and an arch of an eyebrow, as though saying ‘I know I’m irresistible’. He was too and he knew it. Well, he felt irresistible at any rate, and there were only few occasions where women had not fallen captive to his charms. He had yet to speak to this one, but there had been no time for that. After all, the shoot needed to be done, in five minutes and everyone was anxious to go home. “Come out with me,” he whispered into the model’s ear as the camera snapped the final shot of the two together before the photographer called out “It’s a wrap!”

Arius moved off the scene, laughing lightly and joking with some of the regulars and the photographer came up to him, a smile playing on his face. “You did it again,” he said with a shake of his head. “What is it about you? New girls just seem to fall into you. It’s like magic, as though you charmed them or something.” Arius laughed at the “absurdity” of the idea and shook his head, though a small smirk crept onto his lips. Magic indeed, as though he would waste his talents in magic on some silly frivolous muggle women. No, his magical talent was needed elsewhere. Why would he waste it attempting to sleep with muggle women or furthering their careers in the industry? It behooved him little to do so. He simply did have a magic touch.

“No magic here,” he lied calmly, a shrug of his shoulders and a hair toss making everyone laugh or roll their eyes, but no one really openly opposed him, for they knew what his temper could be like. “I’m simply really, really ridiculously good-looking.” He quoted a movie he knew that they would all understand and relate with and the models around him just nodded. After all, they all knew that he often said that the movie from the early 2000s was one of his favorite movies ever. If only he could be like Derek Zoolander, only that Arius was far too smart to be like any silly muggle man. He simply shook his head and rolled his shoulders back as he air kissed the photographer who was leaving and began to make his way out of the studio to go change, winking at the new girl and arching his eyebrows, giving her the covert message to wait for him.

Arius is, above all things, interesting. He is a public figure, which makes him act more rakishly but he loves it. Ever-changing he lives his life to its fullest and doesn’t worry about what others think, in fact with him the more they gossip, the better. He loves being in the limelight, but also has a dark aspect to his character and could be capable of just about anything. His family has been pushing him to take up their business and he is definitely considering dabbling in it if nothing else. Dark, seductive and magnetic Arius is hard to ignore.

Finally returned from his long absence, Arius Tristisa has certainly been busy and was spotted several times in the past month.

May the Second was the first day we spotted Arius out and about on the British Isles. It seems he has returned to Hogwarts for the Remembering Day Festivities! He was spotted drinking firewhiskey in a dark corner of the Three Broomsticks, with an unknown male party. Joined soon after by a student, the three seemed engaged in some form of private conversation. Might we see more of him as the week progresses? I suppose we will just have to wait and see!

Benefiting Beauty: Student Run Fashion Show .1:00 PM.
On May the Third, he was seen at Hogwarts appearing as the guest of honor at their small charity fashion show. The only professional model there, he was joined by the likes of Hogwarts students and professors all done up in the hottest Wizarding Styles. All has been brought together as these amateurs strut down the runway done up by fabulous industry makeup artists and hair stylists. This event was coordinated by Miss Neely Woolfolk, daughter of famed Quidditch entrepreneur Ollis Woodfolk.

Remembering Day Party .7:45-11:45 PM.
May the Fifth brought about a culmination of the Remembering Day activities, and Arius was seen at the party for the younger crowd, though no word on whether or not he made an appearance at the masked ball later in the evening. He was spotted speaking with Finn Grosvenor, and what a nice pair those two men make!

In continuation of his evening at the Hogwarts Party he stayed at Signature, slipping on his extraordinary Peacock mask before the official adult masquerade began. He was spotted sipping drinks and chatting with acquaintances. Eventually he met with Dazmond Weidman and Nate Briggs, though the latter seemed displeased by this meeting.

May the Ninth was the next Arius sighting! He was found at the Leaky Cauldron sitting alone at a table reading a magazine. He was later - much to our dismay - joined by the lovely Miss Claudia Vespucciano, the young aide to the Minister of Magic. The two spoke over lunch and we wonder, is something going on between them? Are we seeing the buds of an Italian affair? You know what they say, 'When in Rome...'

Reunited and it feels so good .1:30 PM.
On May the Tenth Arius was spotted in his lovely little BMW z4 Roadster leaving his Chelsea apartment. Did we see a leggy blonde leave the complex earlier that same day? Top down with his brown locks blowing in the wind he made his way to a little corner café where the rooftop terrace could give him and his lady of choice for the afternoon some privacy. He was joined by Miss Akiva Katz, the Ministry Librarian?! Well, no one can deny she's pretty at any rate.

We spotted Arius again later that evening. He was seen swaggering into Signature - the swanky Hogsmeade club owned by his close friend Finn Grosvenor. He seemed in his element among the swaying bodies at the club. Quickly he was seen to approach a lovely and mysterious light-haired brunette who we swear we've seen somewhere before.

May the Twenty-First, the feast day of his illustrious birth found a disguised Arius scuttering nervously about Diagon Alley before darting into Slug & Jiggers Apothecary. He ran into an old school mate there and it seems the two men are not exactly fond of each other. But... who isn't fond of Arius?
