Thea paid for the few assorted sweets she'd grabbed, still fumbling with the wizarding money even after years of using it, and frustratedly told the teller to simply keep the change. She watched the hair twirling girl behind the counter shrug and tuck away her galleon, and sighed. Perhaps she was used to having all she wanted in the Muggle world, but giving away her money because she couldn't do math was getting old fast.

She glanced out the window and saw Mase already standing outside in the snow, which had slowed to a few fat, drifting flakes. He called her, using that bloody nickname again, and she pushed through the door and smacked his arm. "You have to stop it with that nickname!" she insisted halfheartedly

They meandered down the lane, leaving tracks in the snow which was about five centimeters deep. Thea shivered at the thought of it getting in her shoes, melting on her socks. Just the idea of being cold was bad enough.
