Wand: The unpolished, 11 inch wand is made of the finest Eucalyptus. The supple wand, with its knobby surface fits well with Paetyn's personality, and the unicorn hair core fits with his pure heart.

Physical Description: Standing at a strong 5'0, Paetyn is of rather average height compared to others his age. With a slim build, he weighs in at a mere 74 pounds. His face is smooth and completely splattered with freckles. He has beautiful big brown eyes and sharp features. His mouth is full and he has a wonderful set of white teeth and a huge face-splitting smile.  Paetyn loves the outdoors and has an aversion to washing, so his face and hands are usually smudged with dirt. He has a terrible habit of biting his nails, so his stubby hands are always in bad shape. He can usually be found in a t-shirt and jeans with sneakers, unless he’s in his school uniform.



Personality Description: Paetyn is an everyday kind of guy from London. His muggle parents are very refined and sophisticated, and expect their son to be exactly like them… only… he’s not. Paetyn hates stuffy clothes and fancy events, he’d much rather be out in the yard digging a hole to the center of the Earth. He’s an outdoorsy person and he’s really good with hands-on activities. He loves animals and is extremely loyal to everyone he cares about, whether they deserve his loyalty or not. Paetyn isn’t very good at spellwork and really doesn’t like to use his wand.

Paetyn is a very hyperactive child and has an extremely overactive imagination. He is extremely outgoing and loves making new friends. He’s a bit of a prankster and has a huge sense of humor. He’s not very good with classroom settings and gets antsy and fidgety, unless it’s something practical and not something lectured. He is very loud and has a very bright, optimistic outlook on life. He’s very athletic and loves running. Paetyn can get very emotional and sometimes he cries (not that he would EVER let anyone know that!) He gets homesick sometimes, but he loves Hogwarts and all his friends.


History: Paetyn Vincent Harper was born on October 13, 1997 in London to a beautiful non-magical couple. Even at a young age, Mr. and Mrs. Harper knew there was something special about their son. When he was only eight years old, he started bringing home stray animals to ‘nurse back to health’ even though most of them were in perfect condition. One day, he brought home a puppy that he insisted needed some ice cream because he was hot hot hot! His mother thought it was a bad idea to feed a dog ice cream, until the puppy opened its mouth and barked flames! After shrieking and running from the house, Paetyn calmly looked at his mother and said, “I told you he was hot… shoulda just gived him some ice cream.”

Secretly, the very popular Harper couple was relieved when they received the Hogwarts letter. It was difficult living with a child that was so different from everything you do. They love their son and will support him in everything he does… from a distance.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Paetyn’s outgoing personality and loyalty makes him a qualified candidate for Hufflepuff. His love of all life, big or small, adds to his qualifications. He’s extremely friendly and extremely fun to be around.

Writing Sample: Paetyn’s first trip to Diagon Alley was extremely unforgettable and completely AWESOME! His mother had a tight grip on his hand and a tight grip on his father’s arm. She was obviously uncomfortable in the overtly wizardly environment.  It was Paetyn’s dream. Everywhere he looked there was something shiny or cool. There were owls flying overhead and people yelling crazy things from every corner. It smelled kinda funny, but then again, that could just be because Paetyn didn’t shower that morning…

“Hey mum! MUM! Let’s go over there! They’re selling FROG GUTS! MUM! MUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!!!!” No matter how hard he yanked on her arm, she wouldn’t budge. If it looked remotely sketchy, she wasn’t allowing her son anywhere near it, which meant that the only place Paetyn had been allowed to go to so far was Gringotts. The goblins were wicked cool!

Next on their list was Flourish and Blotts… books… gross. “Ah come on! I don’t wanna go in there. The fun stuff’s out here. How about you guys go get me books and let me go see the fun stuff! I’ll stay out of trouble, promise!” He pleaded with his parents… they weren’t having it. Ugh… I don’t even like to read he thought to himself as he browsed the titles of the tomes lining the room.  Eventually his mum let go of his hand to reach for a couple books on his shopping list and he seized the opportunity to run off.

He knew he’d be in HUGE trouble when his parents caught up to him, but at least for now he could enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Diagon without being pestered by the ‘rents. It was in front of an apothecary stall that his father finally found him. Though he got the biggest scolding of his life; and a promise of a good grounding when he got home, it was well worth it.
