Wand: 10" Dogwood with Dragon Heartstring core. Very simple and classic form, firm but supple, with a smooth shaft.

Physical Description: Aggie's figure is generally described as 'boyish'. She is of average height (About 5'7" or a little over 1.7) but lean, with a long torso that makes her look like she should be taller. Her hips and bust are small, which only helps make her look more boyish. It doesn't bother her too much, she says she can wear any clothes she wants and she can run faster and climb easier without boobs or hips to hinder her.

While her body is average, her face is quite unique looking. Her high cheekbones and almond shaped, rich brown eyes are reminiscent of some Asian bloodline, though she is not entirely sure what country or which relative. The rest of her is notably Italian, from her lightly tanned skin, to her straight aquiline nose to her hair. Her hair was originally a dark brown, but she has dyed it a nice medium-dark red since she was 14. It is cut in a chin length bob with a streak of hair that she likes to dye in different colors to match her outfits. Its really about the only girly thing she enjoys, since she wears very little makeup.

Clothing-wise, she is very tomboyish when it comes to fashion. She never wears a skirt if she can help it and her clothes are rarely, if ever, revealing (Not that she has much to reveal). She prefers to stick to jeans, tee-shirts and tennis shoes (or an occasional pair of flats) when out of uniform. Sometimes, in the colder seasons, she will layer things like fitted blazers or light hoodies over her tee-shirts. Her clothes and jewelry have a steampunk edge to them, though it isn't outrageous. In uniform, she tends to wear a purple polo shirt with either black pants or shorts, depending on the season, which she might add crazy colored tights, scarves or jewelry to. Her favorite color is Orange, though she normally uses it to accent a lot of darker colors instead of having it her main color.

Personality Description: Aggie has many good qualities. She’s friendly, outgoing, tolerant, intelligent and creative, and humble enough not to brag about any of those. Most of these are true about her, but she would be lying if she didn’t say that most of her good qualities are… a bit overexaggerated. Yes, she is friendly and outgoing. She likes people in general and can talk freely with perfect strangers, but she is also quite cynical about human nature. She wants to see the good in others, but often finds herself distrusting them even when they have proven themselves. There are skeletons in her closet that no one, not even her family or closest friends know about, and that she guards with extreme caution. Few people know her as well as they think they do.

Despite her distrust of the human nature, she is very open-minded and tolerant of others, even if the differences between them are extreme. She can do this because she often sees and can sympathize with both sides of an issue, which is great when making friends but no so great when it comes to choosing sides. She hates talking about sensitive topics, like religion and politics, because it makes her uncomfortable and she would prefer to be diplomatic rather then aggressive. Often times, she holds in her anger to the point of harm to herself and it would come as a surprise to others how angry inside she really is. Thankfully, she keeps it under control and will simply separate herself from others until she can calm down and look at things logically.

Her high level of open-mindedness also allows her to become friends with underdogs and loners quite easily. She hates seeing people abused, especially when it comes to things they cannot control, and she despises any sort of discrimination. It can be said that Aggie doesn’t truly hate anyone, though she can harbor strong dislike towards his or her actions. She does find it difficult to be honest when it comes to telling people when they are bothering her and tends to be a bit passive when others harm her, until they push her too far. When she loses her temper, she tends to be vicious with her sarcasm, usually using what she knows hurts them the most against them (Often, she doesn’t truly mean it or believe what she is saying). It brings her great shame afterwards, so she tries very hard to maintain her composure. No one has seen her pushed over the edge of insults into actual violence though, something she feels very thankful for because she doesn’t trust herself not to take it too far.

When it comes to creativity and intelligence, Aggie has both in spades. However, she is a bit of a ‘Jack of all trades’ as in ‘master of none’. She has so many interests and hobbies that she can’t do them all at once and tends to jump between them. This means that while she can discuss a variety of topics, she cannot go too deeply into them simply because she only knows enough to be considered ‘aware’ but not enough to be considered ‘knowledgeable’. However, if she feels that she knows something well, god help those who try and debate with her about it. This applies to creativity as well. She has good hands and a good eye, and can work quickly and efficiently on most projects, but she rarely finishes what she starts and bores easily. She could be much more talented and have better grades if she simply possessed the patience to practice or finish anything.

Aggie tends to talk a lot, loudly and with hand gestures, and loves a good joke. Her sense of humor is vast enough to find humor in most settings, dark or light, dirty or clean, subtle or absurd. She also has a wide variety of tastes when it comes to culture, almost to the point of having a ‘dual nature’, or as she likes to think ‘Multi-faceted’. She enjoys almost all expression of the arts, both classic and modern. For instance, her music tastes include classical, jazz, big-band, blues, rap, pop, hard rock, alternative and occasionally even opera. Her mood dictates which Aggie is present: The one who loves classical music, antiques, fine art and dramatic films or the one who loves hip-hop, minimalist décor, abstract art and action films. Aggie also enjoys reading a wide selection of topics, both fiction and non-fiction, as well as playing video-games.

History: Aggie was born Agatha Ann Pellegrino on June 1st 1992, in Kansas City, Missouri, to two muggles named Kim and John Pellegrino. The couple already had a 4 year old son named Andrew and John's mother Lorraine living with them, making their tiny 2 bedroom home quite tightly packed, but they welcomed their daughter with open arms and considered her a blessing on the home (Which is why they named her Agatha Ann, citing her birth as a mark of 'Good Favor' or luck). Shortly after her birth, Aggie's 'luck' paid off and her mother, who was a nurse, was promoted to the Head Nurse position at the large hospital she worked at and her father, a truck driver, got a huge new route that would have him traveling all over the country. This gave the small family the money it needed to move into a larger home in the suburbs and to provide their children with everything they would need. Although it meant that Aggie never had to worry about having clothes to wear or food to eat, it also meant that her parents were rarely, if ever, at home. She missed her parents terribly but thankfully Lorraine was willing to care for the them.

Lorraine may have been in her 50's but she was a feisty, fit older woman with a wanderlust. She didn't sit at home and knit all day like many women her age, letting that newfangled cable television raise her grandchildren. Instead, she would drag them along with her on the weekends when she went on trips all over the state in her beat up old VW van. Though they couldn't go far in the two days the kids had off from school, she would still find new places within driving distance to take them. Antique shopping, museums, national parks, the list of places they went flowed on and on. During the summer, their trips would take them all over the country. It was this, combined with the little trinkets her father brought home for her from his trips, that made Aggie want to travel the world.

She was almost 11 and was preparing for her first trip out of the states (To Canada) when a strange man visited her home. He claimed to be a wizard and said that Aggie was to be one as well, but that she would have to attend some magical academy near Salem to achieve it. Her parents were understandably confused and suspicious, and it took the man turning her father into a frog and back again for them to realize he wasn't just some weirdo trying to kidnap their baby girl. However, they were still reluctant about letting Aggie go to some boarding school that they couldn't even see, let alone visit. But Lorraine, who fancied herself 'mystical' ever since she traveled with a hippie group in the 60's (Likely the source of the VW bus), supported her granddaughter and convinced her son to allow Aggie to explore these amazing abilities. By the time that school rolled around, Kim and John didn't just support Aggie, they were proud of her as well. Sure there was a tiny bit of friction between her and Andy, who was jealous that she got the magical powers, but she soothed it quickly when she brought him back some magical candies and other trinkets from the wizarding world.

Early days at SWIM were fun and easy for Aggie. She had always enjoyed learning and was quick at it, though she often didn't practice as much as she should have. Because of this, her grades were always teetering between decently good and excellent, without ever landing firmly in either. Though outgoing, she had many acquaintances but only a few people she considered 'friends', but that was enough to keep her happy. It seemed that life could never be better for the young witch. But of course, all good things had to end sometime.

Lorraine’s death wasn't sudden, but her announcement that she had lung cancer certainly was. She had been hiding the pain and the negative diagnosis for years, worried it would cause her already stressed out children to worry themselves into an early grave. Aggie's parents were always so busy and Aggie and Andy were simply to naive to notice the little things like Lorraine’s hair falling out and the strange bottles of pills littering her once clear bedside table. But as Aggie neared her 13th birthday, Lorraine’s illness was too much to ignore. That summer marked their last trip together, with Andy driving and Aggie navigating while Lorraine sat, strangely silent, in the back. Aggie still remembers the brief silences that held only the sound of her grandmothers breathing machine. She tried to cover up those silences with jokes and stories, always told on the verge of sobs, as they made their way up the Rocky Mountains, as per Lorraine’s final wish. There, watching the sunset, they all held hands as Lorraine told them how much she loved them both and how proud she was of their accomplishments. They knew she wouldn't make the trip back down and had to be airlifted to the nearest hospital, where she died peacefully in her sleep.

For several months after Lorraine’s death, Aggie was inconsolable. Her grades dropped and she lost interest in many of her acquaintances. Only her real friends truly stayed by her side despite her pushing them away frequently. It was just beginning to look as though her good luck had turned to bad luck when her brother made an announcement. He had been accepted into the military and, thanks to his grades and JROTC training, was going to be an officer. After his basic training, Andy gave Aggie his army knapsack filled with old comic books. He had been collecting them since he was 5 and they were his prized possessions. He told Aggie that while her comic books might have moving pictures, these ones meant a lot more and he hoped she would hang onto them. It was his dream that by joining the army he could be a strong warrior and that together they could be a crime fighting team, he would be Batman and she could be Zatara. She thought he was joking and they laughed together, but his words stirred something deep inside her. After he left, she was determined to get out of her rut and she did. By the end of her fourth year, she was back to the same old Aggie.

For the last three years, Aggie has been making trips in the summer to scatter her grandmothers ashes all over the states. She wanted to scatter them all over the world and would get her chance at the end of her 6th year when Salem was allowed to join the Tetrawizard Tournement. She eagerly signed up, though not as much to compete as to travel around Europe, scattering her grandmothers ashes in all the places she had reminisced about from her youth.

Now, in the case of the Tetrawizard Tournament, she worked very hard to get her grades and attendance records up in time to be sent as a possible back up champion (Only if everyone else gets sick or something). She doesn't want to compete and isn't in it for the glory as much as she wants to see the world outside of the US and travel after she gets out of school.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Aggie is a downtown girl, living in a loooonely wo-orld...

Okay, she is just a normal teenager with angst and identity crisis..es (Crisies perhaps?) that she hopes to discover while satiating her natural wanderlust.
