"Wrong kind of mobility,"  Blossom said.  "Don't worry, it won't be able to do much more than swat at flies for the first year or so.   If it makes you feel safer, I'll keep it in a tall jar.  That way it won't be able to climb out."

He cocked his head, listening for a moment.  "Sounds like the dance is still going on.  My costume is pretty much ruined, though.  I'm going to just head back to the dorm and see if i can fix anything before joining you.  If anyone asks, tell them I tripped and ruined my costume." 

He turned to the older boy.  "I'm guessing you're not from around here," he said.  "Our head master isn't as strict as Durmstrang's but he's not exactly what I'd call 'cool'.  The Salem headmaster would let you do something like this?  Do you have whomping willows in America?"
