If yes, what were they and were they convicted?: Aaric has committed many crimes in his lifetime, the older and more experienced he got, the worse the crimes became. His crimes range from theft to murder and use of the Unforgivable curses and other dark magic. His crimes involve smuggling, bribery, stalking, assasination, trafficking, kidnapping, robbery, torture, forgery. But, his most regular and somewhat 'signiture' crime is arson.

Aaric has been convicted of several smaller crimes, mostly when it involves arson, due to the fact that he likes to stay and watch things burn. The crimes he has been convicted of were smaller ones, like theft, so he has managed to stay out of Azkaban for now.

Wand: Aaric wields a wand that he stole from a wealthy dark wizard who crossed his path during his travels in Germany. The wand was a family heirloom and Aaric sometimes has trouble controlling it, but it has proved very effective in his crimes.

The wood is blood red Padauk with a dark African Blackwood handle. The core is Chimera Scale and the wand is 12 inches long and inflexible.

Physical Description: Aaric stands at 5ft 11inches and has a muscular build. He has brown hair that he wears quite short and blue-green eyes.  His nose is small and straight and he has pouty lips. Aaric has tattoos on his chest and upper arms, as well as a few scattered around the rest of his body.

Aaric likes to dress clean and smart, covering his tattoos most of the time. His facial features are usually set in a blank stare and hardly ever smiles. There is usually a small amount of stubble on his face that never gets too long, but is never fully shaven.

During his time committing crimes, Aaric has received his fair share of close calls and horrific injuries which all left a scare in some way. He has five long, claw like scars on his back and an scar that twists up his left arm and disappears into his clothes.

Personality Description: Aaric will seem calm and collected on the outside, but on the inside, he is ready to explode at a moments notice. He has an extremely bad temper and if threatened or annoyed, will not hesitate to let his anger out. Even though he is very capable with a wand, in most cases, when in an argument, he will prefer to use his fists rather than magic. 

Aaric is always on edge and will not often start up conversations with people he thinks are below himself and does not put up with hooligans or people who annoy him. He spends most of his time analysing people, trying to figure them out and anticipate their next move, even if they mean him no harm. He is very critical and will usually judge someone based on their appearence and the way they act before he even gets to know them.

He will usually talk to people he just met like he isn't interested in a word they are saying and will talk down to them, showing little to no respect at all for their existence. Unless he respects the person or is on good terms with them, Aaric will be incredibly rude and cold.

To the people he cares for, which is a very small group of people, Aaric would go through anything to protect them or help them when they need it. He is very loyal to those who deserve it, in his opinion, of course. Aaric talks in a monotone with a weak Irish accent.

History:Aaric was born in Dunlavin, Ireland on July 16th, 1975 on a warm summers day. He was born into a small family consisting of his mother - Muirne, father - Doughlas and older brother - Riley, who was  4 years old at the time of his birth. Aaric was named after his paternal grandfather who died shortly before his birth. With all his grandparents dead and both his parents being only children, Aaric had no other family besides his parents and brother.

His parents were both magical, so it was to no surprise that both Aaric and his older brother inherited their ability to perform magic. Aaric's first experience with magic was at the age of 7 when he was able to crack ever glass surface in their house after a violent temper tantrum. Growing up in a stable home environment, Aaric was able to grow up safely, though his temper almost always landed him in trouble.

At the muggle school he attended before Hogwarts, Aaric was constantly getting into trouble for being involved in physical fights and being aggressive towards others. From there, he was expelled from  several muggle schools, making his parents worry greatly for him. When all seemed lost for the poor boy, he received his Hogwarts letter, much to his parents joy.

Going to Hogwarts was a big change for Aaric. He cleaned up his act and tried his best to keep his cool in most situations, but, even though he did have the odd bouts of aggression, he was noticeably calmer. Following after his brother and both parents, Aaric was sorted into Gryffindor for his bravery and loyalty to people that mattered most to him. Everything was looking up for Aaric at this point, that was until, he received word of his parents death.

In his second year at Hogwarts, Aaric and his older brother, Riley, were told that their parents had been killed by dark wizards. Anger being Aaric's most prominent emotion, he became a ticking time bomb and blocked himself off to the outside world, that included everyone besides him and Riley. Riley was the only person he trusted and kept close to him after that day.

With Riley being a few years shy of being an adult legally able to take care of a child, Aaric and Riley were thrust into separate foster homes when they weren't at Hogwarts. Aaric rebelled against everyone and ended up being violent towards his foster parents almost all the time. Aaric and Riley exchanged letters during the school breaks, but even through writing, Riley could see how bad his little brother was struggling, so, one night Riley and Aaric ran away, leaving their education behind.

Aaric was 12 years old, while Riley was 16 years old, so they didn't have much of a clue on how to survive out in the big bad world. After a few tiring days out on the streets, a man by the name of Aldrich took them in and cared for them. After a short time, Aldrich revealed that not only was he a wizard, but that he had plans to travel to London and asked if the brothers wanted to go with him.

Not wanting to leave Aldrich after he showed them so much kindness, Aaric and Riley went with him to London where he taught them advanced spells and built up their magical abilities. After living for 2 years with Aldrich, the brothers were able to tell that not only was he an exceptional wizard, but that he was a dark wizard. Aaric and Riley didn't mind this and they soon former a 3-man squad who committed various lower-lever crimes. This is when Aaric discovered his absolute love for fire.

After learning a handy fire spell, Aaric spent almost all his time burning objects. They started as small as a wad of paper and soon advanced into whole structures which burnt to a smouldering pile of ashes within minutes. Aaric had always been careful with his flames, but on one fateful night, Aaric had the urge to burn down the place they happened to be staying in, and thinking Riley and Aldrich were out, he set the place alight.

Aaric has never forgiven himself for killing his brother and mentor. People who he was closest to in the whole world.

Already on the path of destruction, Aaric continued to commit crimes with escalated in time, travelling around the world as he wanted. The wand Aaric currently uses is one stolen from a wealthy dark wizard who Aaric killed. It is his most prized possession at the moment as it is the most powerful wand he has ever aquired.

Aaric now lives in London under the name 'Stephen Moriarty' with Havoc, his German Shepherd dog, and owns a small muggle auto mechanic store called 'Moriarty Mechanics'. The first storey being the shop, with a large underground floor were all his illegal business and meetings take place. He ventures often to Knockturn Ally, where he hangs out in shady bars and wanders the streets like a homeless man, as if waiting for someone to look at him wrong so he can pounce.

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Aaric is an aggressive guy with a cool, calm exterior. He comes from a troubled past and is now a fully fledged criminal, with a love for fire, that people should stay away from if they want to live. Aaric has Gryffindor qualities, being loyal to those that deserve it and being brave enough not to turn down any opportunity that passes his way.
