Lexus smirked and let out a small barking chuckle, "Well thanks, most of this stuff was already here. I just made this place livable again." When she had first arrived the place had been abandoned for what looked like years and she didn't even want to think of how many magical pests had made it their home. It had taken some hard work and a lot of scrubbing but she was proud of the place now and she was glad someone else appreciated it as much as she did.

She removed a large ring of keys from her pocket and her wand, muttered a small incantation and the keys duplicated themselves. She removed a small elegant silver key from the ring before handing them over to him, "Those will get you into the store, the cellar and the store cupboards that hold the more . . . volatile, ingredients. You can come and go as you please but no interfering with the shop other than putting your potions up for sale - you'll get what they sell for, I don't need to take a cut - and anything you use you'll replace."

He seemed like a good enough kid that she didn't have to worry about him robbing her blind besides she didn't think he was stupid enough to try anything on her. There wasn't a wrath quite like that of a witches' especially one that became a blood thirsty beast once a month.

"The shop's closed every full moon and I suggest you give this place a wide berth on those nights. I have a safe room upstairs that I use but better to err on the side of caution you know?"

Mark nodded at the instructions. "Easy. I can follow those rules." Mark crossed his arms and smiled. 'Thanks for allowing me to work in here! That's really awesome of you." He said, smiling. He took the key, placing it inside his satchel, in a special pocket next to the flat key. He patted the outside of the bag, saying, "Safe and sound."

Mark moved his feet around the floor, before smiling once again. "If there is one person who's more thrilled about me making potions here, it's my girlfriend. She's always nagging me, telling me to stop brewing in the bathroom! The tub is not a cauldron!" He explained in a joking manner, even raising the pitch of his voice to explain how Julie spoke.

Lexus smirked and gave him a little chuckle, "I'm sure." She backed him out of the basement and led him back up to the main shop. There was a tall dark looking man who was browsing the shelves when they returned. He glanced their way when they came in then went back to his browsing, "Well I've got work to do. See you around kid." She gave him a friendly pat on the back before unleashing a toothy grin on her latest customer. She wasn't constantly busy but she got enough customers to pay her way and still be able to make a few harmless brews for her lasting muggle customers.

Mark could show himself out if that's what he wanted, or he could get acquainted with the brewing stations down stairs. Either way Lexus didn't really care. Her shop would still be open for a few more hours and she needed to attend to it. It wouldn't do her any good to ignore the customers she did end up getting not when there was plenty of competition both inside and out of Knockturn Alley.

"Well I've got work to do. See you around kid."

Mark waved as he went to the door. He had seen enough today, and now he wanted to head home, relax, and tell Julie the good news. "Lexus, thanks again." He said, as he opened the door, before venturing out into the streets. He was finally getting his life together. And it felt good to know that he could do well in a criminal environment.

As he walked home, Mark felt a great sense of joy, something that he hadn't felt in a long time. He smiled, knowing that he had a place to brew. That he had a place to sell. That he now had an income in which to sustain himself and Julie.
