[Open!] on July 07, 2012, 11:15:11 AM LunchtimeLunch, especially after transfiguration these days, was always an odd experience as Professor Sandusky instructed them on new applications of the Flavor Changing spell. What if your food didn't taste right? Or if you accidentally transfigured it like Obderedria once had, like a rotting pizza--Pizza. That was something that wasn't served at Hogwarts. The House Elves could supposedly make it (or a horrible facsimile) but pizza dinners just weren't seen. It was rare Obderedria thought of muggle food she missed, because Hogwarts food was so much better. But she suddenly had the craving for--"It's not post!" came the shout from along the table. Obderedria blinked and looked up. There was a cluster of owls, one in the lead and four grouped behind. And they're weren't carrying letters and the packages were so irregular--The four owls glided over the table, each at the corner of a square box. Then they dropped their load and flew away. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. There was an Xtra Large cardboard pizza box on her plate. The logo from one of her favorite pizzerias. There was a clinking noise. The first owl dropped two bottles of butterbeer by her goblet, tied at the necks with twine. The pizza was steaming hot in its box and the butterbeers were ice cold. How was this possible?? His usual toothy grin wasn't plastered on his face, but rather his expression was quite gloomy. He wouldn't be one to admit it, but sometimes he did miss home and especially his tree-hugging parents. He plopped down on the bench and stared at the food presented in front of him with a frown. He was hungry, but the sight of all the strange wizard food made his stomach churn. It's not like he didn't enjoy it, but sometimes he just wanted some muggle food.He stabbed at a piece of pumpkin pie but just ended up pulling it apart with his fork until it became an unrecognisable pile of mush. With a heavy sigh, Kiba stood up form he bench and was about to leave the Great Hall when he heard some commotion from over at the Hufflepuff table. Curiousity getting the better of him, Kiba made his way over to a spotted haired girl and caught sight of a large pizza. His stomach growled at the sight and he almost jumped for joy, literally. Clasping his hands together, Kiba looked up at the ceiling and mouthed a silent thankyou to the pizza gods.Without so much as an introduction, Kiba reached over the girls shoudler and took a slice of th pizza, taking a bite almost instantly. He relished in the taste and almost forgot that he had just taken someones food, maybe it was a gift from their family. Swallowing his mouthfull, Kiba stuck out his hand that was pizza-free and introduced himself to the girl. "Hi there, I'm Kiba. Sorry about your pizza, but..." He trailed off lamely, smiling as he took another bite from the slice. "It's really good!" He exclaimed as he smiled at her. "Where'd you get it from? I didn't know that pizza places delivered to Hogwarts." Skip to next post Re: [Oct 19] Take-Out Delivery! Within seconds her nose was accosted with the smells of her favorite spin of the works. A carnivorous paradise of bacon, hamburger, buffalo chicken, pepperoni and ham with onion and pineapple. And it looked like stuffed crust too.Without warning there was a hand over he shoulder and a slice was taken, also revealing that this marvelous pizza was double layered with an extra layer of pepperoni imbedded in the crust."Wait--!""It's really good! Where'd you get it from? I didn't know that pizza places delivered to Hogwarts."She might have been blushing or it was the heat from the pizza. "I don't think they could, they say muggles see an old ruin and remember important things they should be doing. But I didn't order this, I wished--"Even for a year and some months at a magical school, saying you wished things to happen didn't make them so easily. It made her think of when things happened before she had found out she was a witch and got her hair spots, all the odd things. This wasn't a sign that Sandusky's wife's wand was ultimately failing her, was it?But she was distracted by tasty pizza, grabbing her own slice. All this really needed was ranch dressing for dipping."Who could have sent it to me?" Skip to next post Re: [Oct 19] Take-Out Delivery! Taking a seat next to her, Kiba took another bite from his slice and looked over at the girl. She looked vaguely familiar, he had definitely seen her around Hogwarts before. Who could forget green spotted hair? "Oh, I know you! You're Obderedria, right?" He said suddenly, thumping his fist on the table and sighing deeply. "Gosh, that was bugging me." Kiba was really bad with names, he could hardly remember the names of the people in his year and house, so remembering her name was very surprising to even himself. "I don't know who sent it to you, but I would like to get pizza delivered here every day," Kiba sighed, lifting the lid of the pizza box off the table, looking for a note or message of some kind. "Was there a letter or something with it? Are you sure it wasn't from family?" Skip to next post Re: [Oct 19] Take-Out Delivery! At least she thought it was Kiba. The prankster guy, wasn't it??"Yes, but please call me Drea." She chewed thoughtfully on her slice of cheesy carnivory goodness while contemplating her question. "No letter, just butterbeer" she added once her mouth was empty, "and the only family that knows I'm a witch is mum, but--"Plenty of times when her mother was busy from work takeout dinners like this were common.
