Alice stood up, a smile on his face. "No, no, I'm alright. I don't have a class, so, I'll probably just go back to the common room and read. Get my mind on things." Alice smiled. "Thank you, Ayla. You are an amazing girl. Thanks." She hugged her once more, before starting off.

She turned around, looking back. "But I mean, if you want to go play hookie, I'd be more than happy to sit by you." She smiled. "Or not, I mean, it seems that your going to Defense, so if you want to play hookie, I mean, I don't see why not."

Ayla shrugged and returned the girl's hug. A little bit of colour had risen on her cheeks when Alice called her amazing. It wasn't a compliment she was used to hearing but then she supposed that was what happened when you became someone's surrogate big sister. She remembered giving Fauna several similar compliments during the older girl's remaining years at Hogwarts.

She chuckled and ran her hand through her hair, "No I really should go to class, even showing up late is probably better than trying to skive it off all together. Madame Nagde is awesome but I doubt she'd play along." She gave Alice another smile and a wave before hitching her bag up on her shoulder again and heading back down the corridor in the direction of the nearest staircase that would take her down to the first floor and subsequently the Defense classroom.
