Physical Description:

Kiba is 5'11" and muscular with a healthy tanned skin tone. His toned body is mainly due to the fact that most of his pranks result in him running away a lot, and his agility really helps evade angry prankees. He has brown hair that always sweeps infront of his brown eyes and is quite average looking compared to others. He sports a rather large scar that runs from his ankle to mid calf as a result of falling off a roof in his early years and landing on a barbed wire fence.

Personality Description:


Kiba is generally a kind and laid back person but he will get angry and snappish when people call him by his first name, Lakyn, preferring to be called by his middle name.
Although being placid, Kiba can get horribly annoying and irratable when worried or hungry. Most people know not to bother him at those times, unless they wish to be the next victim of his pranks.
Kiba is loyal to his friends and will do anything to protect them, even if it means putting his own life on the line.

He isn't a very studious student and tends not to pay attention or study in class, unless he has caught an interest in the subject, but somehow manages to scrape up a pass every year.
Kiba is strong willed and will most probably disagree with someone if they have a different way of viewing something. You could say he is brave, but that could be mistaken for foolishness or acting first, then thinking.
When Kiba has his mind set on something, he will try to accomplish the desired outcome no matter what. He can be serious about these things, in contrast to his usually calm and care-free exterior.

History:

Kiba (or Lakyn, as his birth certificate says) was born into a nature-loving/hippy family, his mother's side being the magical one. He grew up as an only child, a sort of 'flower child' as his mother liked to say.
His family were traditional nature-lovers, shunning technology and basically most things that damaged the natural environment. Going to school, Kiba despised his hippy origins, becoming increasing jelous of the small things that he didn't have, like video games and tv.

After his first few years of life, Lakyn ditched his name (as a change of identity) and adopted his middle name as his first to try to leave behind his hippy influenced life.
At first, Kiba (as he insisted he be called) had trouble adjusting to his new found freedom, finally plucking up the courage to confront his parents about his feelings. After much persuasion, KIba could still not convince his parents of his diversion from their way of life, so instead, he started his rebellious streak.
Kiba became infamous among his small school for being a horrible trouble maker. He pulled pranks, disobeyed the rules and skipped class. His parents were not worried though, as they thought it was his way of expressing himself, so they just smiled and watched on.

At the age of 11, Kiba received recieved his letter to Hogwarts and his world was turned upside down. Not once had his parents mentioned magic, believing it to be an unnatural way to pevert the land. Once again seeing an opportunity to disobey his parents, he demanded to be sent to the school, itching to escape his hippy parents.
After many days of complaining, Kiba managed to persuade his parents to let him attend Hogwarts. This was when Kiba's mum gave him her wand.

Kiba's mum had once attended Hogwarts, many years ago. But after falling into a natural rythm with nature, she dropped out in rebellion. Declaring that she would never use magic again, she sealed her wand away for good.
Kiba's rebellious ways died down a bit when he arrived at Hogwarts as a trembling first year, but as the months went by, he found himself falling into the same patterns as before. Though not as extreme as before, Kiba started to pull pranks on people and sleep in class, among other things, but not doing anything that could get him into too much trouble.

In the years since arriving at Hogwarts, Kiba has never liked a class more than Transfiguration. Even with his lousy work ethic in other classes, Kiba is incredibly interested in the mechanics of the subject and strives to perfect his techniques. He loves how you can change something entirely with the wave of a wand.
Kiba never really bothered to join any clubs at Hogwarts, preferring to spend his time elsewhere. He has a large group of friends and is probably the loudest and most 'out there' of the lot.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?:

Being strong willed and somewhat brave has landed Kiba in Gryffindor. He has a fiery attitude and is confident in what he does. He is a loyal friend and is willing to sacrifice himself for others.

Writing Sample:

The great hall was humming with early morning chatter as the early risers began their day. Kiba huffed as he picked apart his third bit of toast, leaving a growing pile of crumbs on his plate. He looked around the great hall for a familiar face, finding none he sighed loudly  and rested his cheek on the cold wooden bench.

Kiba's head throbbed and his eyes stung from lack of sleep, worry bubbling in his stomach.

"Mum's gonna kill me," He mumbled to himself, recalling the prank he pulled that had landed him in hot water, "Stupid teachers, taking a simple practical joke so harshly. Why did they have to send mum an owl?"

Kiba rolled his face into the table and grumbled quietly to himself.

"Oi, Lakyn!"

Kiba flinched inwardly, his face still buried in the wood as he instantly recognised the voice of his loudmouth friend.

"Don't call me that, Jarrod." Kiba said sourly, not bothering to look up.

"Yeah, yeah,"  Jarrod said as he waved off the comment and took a seat next to Kiba, "Whatcha doing here so early, you never get up this early."

Kiba moaned and lifted his head off the table, glaring at his friend who had started piling his plate with food.

"Couldn't sleep," Kiba mumbled, resting his elbows on the table, "I got bored of listening to you snore."

Jarrod barked out a laughed, "What did you do this time?"

"Uh... well, it wasn't much, really." Kiba said quietly, suddenly very interested in studying his hands,  "I may or may not have defiled a few paintings."

"Nice!" Jarrod smirked, clapping Kiba on the back, "Next time don't get caught, yeah?"

Kiba is a rebellious, strong-willed person who isn't afraid to speak his mind. He is lazy and tends not to pay much attention in class, preferring to be outside, eating or pulling pranks on people. Kiba's real name is a touchy subject, usually resulting in him becoming irritated and angry.

How did they learn or hone this ability?:

Kiba became obsessed about Animagi  when they were first taught about the subject in their third year. He was determined to learn more about it and eventually become an Animagus. Kiba, not being one for books and studying, learnt the basics from his classes. He reluctantly spent most of his evenings in the library, as there is only so much you can learn about it in class. Once he had managed to grasp the basic skills, he ditched the books and built up his skills in private.
As of now, there is no one that is aware of Kiba's ability and is therefore unregistered.

Describe how the Special Ability influences their life.  What do they use it for?:

Kiba uses his Animagus form (when he is able to transform) to sneak around Hogwarts and pull his greatest pranks. He is often found in the hospital wing due to the side affects of the transformation, blaming it on his 'weak immune system'. Kiba is hesitant to tell people about his ability, but wants help (not that he'd admit it) to increase his skills.

Write a description of what happens when your character is exhibiting this Special Ability:

Kiba's Animagus form is that of a Fox. He can be recognised by his browner coat (much like his hair colour) and the long scar on his back leg (from a previous injury)
Kiba has trouble with his transformation, often having horrible side affects as a result (headaches, nausea, fatigue etc).
In his Animagus form, Kiba's senses are sharper and he exudes a more aggressive behaviour.
