Her heart would explode in her chest, and still she tried to be strong enough to not letting her shaking hands drop anything. She didn't want to cause any damage. She didn't want to do anything bad. But she did. And was just doing again, breaking rules, and probably trusts if Healer Thorpe, Greenburg or even Foley ever find out she was there. Ok, no one never really said she wasn't supposed to be there alone, sneaking quietly in the middle of the night, without asking permission to anyone. But Una knew perfectly how wrong she was - and she didn't even know what exactly she was looking for in there.
That was the same lab where she and Viv worked together once
[1], and obviously many other Healers and Medwizards worked there as well after them, so it wasn't a perfect place to reconstitute a scene. Una would have done better with a Pensieve, but pull memories out of her head was something she never ever wanted to do. It seemed to her as hurtful as some Muggle's medieval procedures to "heal" the brain. No, she would be able to find something in the middle of bottles and vials and cauldrons and tools. Nothing there was new for her, and she could find that all at home or at the Ministry, but that place was special. Cillian mentioned Mungo's labs in his visions, right before Sidney got sick. And then another person. And another. For Una it was clear she started that, and if there was a lab involved, that was the place.
Oh, she just longed for an Epiphany.
At first she stood in there just trying to remember everything, too frightened with the idea of being there without permission to make any move. Then she searched for the ingredients she used that day, putting everything in front of her, trying to figure something out. Olibanum, sunflower, everything so harmless, so... innocent. No, she was wrong, or Cillian was wrong. That hasn't started there. She has been working with more suspicious ingredients out of there. But nothing, absolutely nothing could have that kind of drawback, especially when it didn't affect her directly, but other people. Her health was perfect. Sid's health wasn't. How unfair that was?
The more she tried to think about it, find answers, find something, the more confused she get. And it was all painful, for she was certain it was her fault.
Sighing, refusing to cry once again, Una started to put everything in their right places with her trembling hands. Carefully, carefully, she could just end up that and go with her doubts still shadowing her mind, right? Carefully so she could not drop...
CRASH!
Both her hands covered her face immediately, so scared, so ashamed of seeing all those glass and sunflower petals all over the floor. But she hasn't dropped that just because of her trembling hands. The door had opened suddenly, scaring her to death and causing that to happen. Now she couldn't hide any more than she was already doing with her hands. Her blue wet eyes rose slowly to the woman who opened the door. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so s-s-so sorry!
Ich... I... I can explain..." She managed to say, shaking her head, still a little in shock.
