I was appraising an artifact (something I don't care to disclose in a letter) and there was a peculiar runic combination attached to it, something I haven't encountered before. I hesitate to do much with it, at present, until it's identification is confirmed, but I strongly suspect, from research it is of Persian origins. It certainly isn't British, and most assuredly not African. I thought, perhaps, you might be more familiar with it. If you are available, I would be grateful if you could come to Gringotts and take a look. Due to the sensitive nature of this case, I'd appreciate a personal consultation. A speedy response would be greatly appreciated, Josephine St. Just Skip to next post Re: [Oct 12] Appraisal Reply #1 on May 15, 2012, 10:12:32 PM Atash HendurabiJosephine St. JustGringottsLondon, England15 October, 2009Madam St. Just,It is always a pleasure to hear from you. I trust that this missive finds you in both good spirits and good health? As always, your words are far too kind. My knowledge of the world -- even the Persian world -- is meager, as you well know, and so such undeserved praise from one as well-traveled and worldly as yourself can only be taken as well-meaning flattery. I certainly wish to offer you what aid I can, but I fear that my simple abilities may not be worthy of your expectations. As such, I must caution you to prepare yourself for disappointment. While I recognize the urgency implicit in your request, I regret that I cannot be so easily summoned to London. Perhaps you would care to come to Hogsmeade for a consultation instead? Though I doubt that my abilities will prove sufficient, I would be happy to offer you what modest help I can. Most respectfully yours,Atash Hendurabi Skip to next post Re: [Oct 12] Appraisal Reply #2 on May 17, 2012, 12:22:33 PM Josephine St. JustGringottsLondon, EnglandMr. Atash Hendurabi17 October 2009 Mr. Hendurabi, I do hope England will treat you and your students well. It's not treated me as kindly as I'd like - I much prefer the climate in Africa, but I don't suppose I have control over that. I've read of the tournament, though I daresay, slightly different from the last my alma mater was engaged in, from what I've seen. I hope your students are faring well in the English system, as different as it is from Durmstrang. With that in mind, Hogsmeade is a reasonable location to meet for this particular meeting. If you are unable to help, I will find others who might be more familiar with what I am looking for. Until then, I will put my faith in your knowledge on the subject, no matter how meager it might be. If you have a preferred date, please, write back at your earliest convenience and we will meet then.
