Hey! How are you? I'm writing this on my lunch break but I heard something bad happened at Hogwarts in the Great Hall and professors are pissed off. Is it as bad as that food fight I accidentally started a year ago? Well, Ollie had helped but... anyway. I'm hearing everything from a first-year girl broke your nose to a whole group of prefects tackled you, like some kind of prefect mafia. That never would have happened if Dion and Grace were still there and prefects. I say! (shakes cane)

Are you ok? I also hear it had something to do with SAWS and werewolves. Which I guess can explain the tackle behavior. Sort of. I hope not...

Whatever happened, you can talk to me. It can't be worse than that song- Write back soon to let me know if you're breathing!

Hey Fauna

Yea I'm fine.  It was Sophie who broke my nose and you probably know I had that coming sooner or later.  She's a real charmer.  Lovely girl

Cant say really what started the whole thing as probably writing it in a letter will likely summon some fist out of no where.  I was about werewolves though and me announcing it to the whole Great Hall.  There was also tackling and prefects as you have heard

Everyone is probably right to be mad about it.  Whole of Hufflepuff' is in serious shit right now though.  Old Dusty is on the warpath.  Seto punched Zel in the face and Helio stabbed Nick Blevins with a fork.  Kind of epic actually.  B)

But definitely worse than the song and the food fight.  Don't mean to brag!!!

I just got caught writing this during a trainee meeting. Oops..
Write back with, you know, real answers Fig! I have to clean out the old files and polish a bunch of medals as punishment for not paying attention. My own fault but still.

Sophie DID hit me.  She was really pissed!!!! Not that I wasn't pissed at having my nose broke...
YES Helio just stuck a fork in Nick's leg.  It was quite graphic.  He pulled it out himself and then threw up. 
Seto is a crazy person.
Old Dusty is what we call our new head of house.  We have a new head of house, by the way.  He's an old bloke teaching transfig now.  He's alright.  Professor Fraiser's back, turns out, but Sandusky's keeping us.

Don't ask.  You really don't want to know.

Okay fine.  Everyone knows already anyway! You know that guy in my year Zel Trumble.  His werewolf sister bit him over the summer.  I didn't even know he had a sister.  And so he's a werewolf now and told me and Seto.  But apparently, he only told us because Sophie told him to tell us.  She told him that we wouldn't tell and even though Zel asked us not to tell I sort of forgot and let it slip at dinner.  And both Zel and Soph heard me and then there was shouting and pushing and an apple and you know the rest.

You probably are going to hate me forever and you're probably right to.  I'm a right shithead for telling.

I'm kind of at a loss for what to say.

It's one thing to let something spill when you think the other person won't mind.. but when he specifically asks you, and you still do it? I mean, you have to always assume that whatever you know about a werewolf is said in confidence anyway. Right? Especially since werewolves have just been allowed back at Hogwarts. You're a Hufflepuff, Fig. You're around it all the time. Ollie just left. None of this should be new!

I just... I don't get you sometimes. People trust you, they talk to you. But then you do things like this!

Letting secrets slip, betraying friends by accident, is almost as bad as Sasha being a jerk because he's a jerk. If I didn't know any better I'd think you were on his side[1].

I'm sorry for being mad but

1.	I doubt she knows about anti-SAWS, but the comparison is stemming from her anger about the March attacks, and the DP article she thinks Sasha wrote in September.

I'm really sorry.  I know it was stupid.  I just wasn't even thinking about anything like that.  Never bothered me that Olivia was a werewolf and she was so cool about it.  Didn't think that      It shouldn't need to be a secr    I don't know why I said it.  It wasn't on purpose to hurt him.  I wouldn't do that on purpose.  I'm just sorry.  I didn't mean to do it and I probably can't fix it now.

I don't know.  I'm sorry.  I keep saying sorry but I don't know what else to say.  It happened.  I just don't get why it has to be this big secret.

Then that's the real problem. You blurt stuff out because you don't 'get it'. Sure, werewolves are allowed back but do they feel safe and welcomed? Ollie leaving tells me they don't. It shouldn't be a big deal, being a werewolf at Hogwarts, but it is.
 
You probably don't think about it because you're a good person and to you everyone is on the same footing, but werewolves have to think about it all the time, do you see what I'm saying? I thought you got that, and I don't know how to explain it better. Maybe you'd understand if you had reason to fear other people beyond thrown apples or something. But you don't have to 'get it' to be careful for another person's sake, do you? Why is that so hard to get?

Figaro had stewed over Fauna's last, alternately fuming and sulking.  He'd started to respond three times over the next couple days, but each time had crumpled the parchment in dissatisfaction.  Finally he felt like he had to send something.
