Physical Description: An intimidating white male standing at 6’ 1” walks into a room. Broad shoulders, and a solid build to him, Alfonz is a well kept individual with a distinct upright stance that demands respect.

Alfonz Tytus Jedynak is not one someone would walk up to and pick a fight. His brown hair is somewhat of a medium length that is cut so that nothing surrounds his face.  It is professional, and kept cleanly groomed at all times.

His face, the normal eyes, noes, mouth, and clef chin.  Alfonz hardly ever smiles and his eyes are always narrowed; not so shockingly, they also appear darker when angry.  The only plain thing upon his face is his nose, that seems proportionate to his facial structure.

Though he stands tall, when Alfonz walks he has a slight limp with his right leg.  He doesn't let it get in the way though, never using a cane or anything but his other leg for support.

Personality Description: Everything in life, one must work for to get the most out of it. In Alfonz’s life, he has lived by this motto. He is accustomed to being the best at what he is because he worked hard to get there. Being put on a high pedestal by his parents his entire life, he was not allowed to fail. From this, he has come to believe that only some can survive and prosper in the amount others want them to. He also believes that no matter how much a person puts into something, they get back what they truly deserve from their efforts in the end. Never did he have any help, or accept any special exceptions. Finding that a trait of the weak, Alfonz scoffs and despises those who accept offerings of “charity” because he finds that those who take advantage of the giving’s of others are just users and do not deserve the benefits they receive.

Held high in respect, Alfonz’s father paved the way for the boy since he was small. Being the first-born, and the male child of the family, he was expected to do and learn in the way his father taught. From his father he learned that those gifted enough to have the ability to wield magic should be privileged among any other; this included halfbloods like himself.

In school, Alfonz played quidditch just as many of the other classmates he was in school with.  Alfonz’s career path later in life would prove to begin the same way, that of a Professional Quidditch Player. However, unlike how quidditch players are sometimes coined, Alfonz is not at all a “dumb jock”. He is very intelligent and cunning. Some would even say that the man is sly, and because of the way he was praised as a child, he knows how to use his resources wisely and take advantage of any situation that will or would benefit him. He is a very ambitious man. Any goal he has ever set, in one way or another, has been accomplished…no matter how much it took to get it there.

First impressions when it comes to meeting Alfonz are always shocking, especially if being introduced by his parents, or younger sister. He is not as caring, loving, or kind as one may think he would be based on the descriptions of his family members. And usually, if the person he is meeting does not or cannot directly influence his life to his advantage, he finds no real use in meeting with them.  The only person Alfonz actually ever truly cared for as a person was his younger sister, Celina. But that was a long time ago, and since her death Alfonz hadn’t opened up or cared for another soul since.

History: He’d had a long life.  Though his age and body wouldn’t show it, Alfonz Tytus Jedynak had lived 37 very hard years that were filled with hardship and tragedy.  Beginning in 1972,  Alfonz was born at 2:31pm to his mother Elizabeth Rose Jedynak and Feliks Henry Jedynak.  He was the first born male, and his father couldn’t have been any prouder.  Elizabeth worked as a teacher for a local preschool, and his father worked as a prestigious Healer at St. Mungo’s, which Alfonz came to find out later was a hospital for magical beings.  It wasn’t until the age of six when he finally began to show signs of magical happenings that Alfonz started to realize the world around him wasn’t just about toys and candies.

Overall, his childhood was like any others.  He was happy, smiled all the time, and always loved his parents for whom they were.  When Alfonz was eight years old, his mother had another child.  A little girl by the name of Celina; Alfonz had never felt more affection for another human being in his life, than he always had for his sister.  It was then, however, when things started to change.

After Celina’s birth, Elizabeth was found to have terminal cancer.  Before Feliks could figure out a magical way to deal with his muggle wife’s condition, she passed on and left Feliks with not only his son, but his infant daughter as well.  He toughened up, making sure that Alfonz knew that his place in the world was to become something.  Anything but a weak link in society that would just fade out when the world would need him the most.  Alfonz always knew his father meant best, but his coldness and strictness towards the two Jedynak children was an intense wakeup call for the young boy.

Alfonz received his letter from Hogwarts, and it was a bittersweet event.  Going to school at the wizarding school meant leaving Celina behind to face their father all by herself, and though Alfonz really had no choice in the matter, there wasn’t a day that went by he didn’t feel guilt.  He always went home on breaks, bringing his top grades and accomplishments home with him.  The day he became keeper of the Ravenclaw quidditch team, his father couldn’t have been prouder (though he never showed Alfonz; only giving him a pat on the shoulder, telling him he could have been a beater or at least a seeker).  Celina always was happy to see her older brother, though the more he left, the more quiet she became when he found his way home again.

Graduating from school was one of Alfonz’s proudest moments.  But, in his father’s eyes, he could have done better.  Alfonz grew resentment towards his father, and left the Jedynak household as soon as he could.  He left Celina behind, telling her he’d visit as often as he could.  For a while, Alfonz played Quidditch full time as a backup keeper to one of the best teams in the league.  His career only ended when a bludger took out his right leg during a game, leaving him impaired for a while and eventually, with a limp and no ambition to get back on the broom.   It was then that Alfonz decided that his talents were best used organizing the games and Sports of the wizarding world.

He worked very hard to get into the position, for it seemed as if any wanna-be, second-hand quidditch player and other magical sports player wanted the position.  Alfonz used any means necessary to climb to the top, and eventually made it just barely capable of making the cut.  He appeared with his better nature, trying to be courteous to those he found as fools, or idiots.

By this time in his life, however, Celina was grown up herself, living on her own and every day to its fullest.  Since leaving her father's house, Celina had rebelled and gotten herself into trouble time and again, always having Alfonz to help bail her out of any situation she'd ever gotten herself into.  Alfonz missed a lot of key points in his sister’s life that actually mattered, and eventually it took her away from him.  On an outing with friends, there was a terrible accident… or so, it was reported as such.  Bodies were never found, and the four that had accompanied Celina were never heard from again.  Alfonz searched for his sister after finding out about her disappearance, and almost even lost the job he had worked so hard to get to begin with.  In the end, he ended up not finding anything.  No one found anything…

Alfonz now works as the Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports, doesn’t speak with his father, and is every day searching for any sign that his sister may still be alive somewhere.

Describe your job duties and how you go about them: As the head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports Alfonz is in charge of keeping tabs on all the sporting events in the magical world.  This means that he is in constant contact with all team coaches, managers, organizers of events, holding press conferences after sporting events and keeping everything in order so that an event runs smoothly.  Those under him are designated by him to perform simple tasks that would help him make sure that all of the situations stated previously, are held accordingly without anything being left out.

Alfonz would directly deal with the lower level aurors for security purposes at events, as well as, country leaders to plan out and make sure events have places to be held when the need to be held.  Over all, Aflonz would be the man that everyone would know, but only known for working in the background to make sure everything works out the way it’s supposed to.

Elaborate on your expertise in your field: Being a sports player for the limited time that he was, Alfonz was able to see the inside workings of what had to be done for a game to be all played out accordingly.  Because he was only a back up player, he didn't have to worry about always being on the field, so he was constantly learning about all of the other aspects of what went into putting a Quidditch game together.  Because of this and his high intellect dealing with organization, Alfonz had been able to retain a lot of the information learned from his game time experiences.

He is also very ambitious and not afraid to get the job done.  He does what he needs to do, and doesn't allow distractions to get in his way.  Alfonz believes in a time and a place for everything, and at work, you should be doing work.

Sum up your character in one paragraph:

Alfonz is an upstanding and functioning member of society that does what is expected of him, and holds back all emotion while doing it.  Holding himself upright and proud, Alfonz is a stubborn as an ox, and yet, can be as gentle as a lamb. But, on a normal basis he feels that there is a time and a place for everything, and is not the type of man who likes to joke or folly when it is not needed.  And frankly, Alfonz never thinks it’s needed.  There have only been a few that have seen the softer side of the man Alfonz makes himself out to be, but only his sister had his heart before she had disappeared never to be seen for or heard of again.  Now, Alfonz works.  It’s all he feels he has left in the world, and he does it well.  Anyone whom gets in his way would be surely mistakenly doing so.
