I think I have been granted the kindly sort of permission to let Figaro run off his mouth and regret it hardcore.  Want to open it up for anyone else who wants to be involved!

So over the summer, super-quiet Zel Trumble got cursed by his werewolf sister and is now a werewolf.  He told Sophie about it,[1] who said it would help if he at least told his roommates Figaro and Seto.  So he did.[2]  And Figaro...

...will not be able to keep that secret. 

And I want to stage some sort of super-awkward mess where Figaro lets it slip that Zel is a werwolf well before Zel is ready for people to know.

I'm super open to people being pissed off at Figaro for being such a giant loudmouth.

So thread-wise, I imagine there is a thread where he spills the beans.  Maybe a meal in the Great Hall? That way anyone who wants to be there to hear can be?  And then, I'm open to threads where people react to Figaro - either being angry at him, or whatever. 

And certainly, this will be tons of fun for Kelly/Zel,  SJ/Sophie and give some fuel for Sasha's thing.

How quickly are you wanting this to be spread?
I'd like it to wait at least until early-to-mid October, if Figaro can wait that long, since Zel has a thread with Sasha that takes place in late September.

Though I think it'd be rather amusing if most people found out, except Sasha. I wonder how likely that'd be, though.

I'm sure he'll get awesome backlash from Zel.
It depends on whether or not Zel is around to hear Figaro blab about it.

This would tie in perfectly to a new wardrobe choice I have for Ligeia so she can support SAWS in her unconventional way. I'd love to have her in Fig's conversation where he runs off his mouth.

Sophie, as always, can be on hand to groan and tell Fig what a wanker he is. Also tears, lots of tears. She might hex him even.

Maybe do this in the Great Hall at dinner time so that anyone who wants to be involved can be.   And then perhaps for an awkward teenage brawl to ensue and we can get some Professors and Prefects to clean it up and throw some people in detention.   You don't even need to care about the werewolf thing to get swept up in the mess if you don't want.

I suppose it goes without saying that there'll be backlash from Sasha.  If we are wanting news to take a little longer to get to him, the dinnertime scenario works well.  Sasha very rarely eats dinner in the Great Hall nowadays so he'll probably be all the way up in the Astronomy tower during the announcement and brawl. 

For better or worse, the backlash from Sasha towards Figaro will be pretty minimal - he's more likely to be grateful Figaro's allowing the general population to be informed.  The backlash on his end will be more directed at Zel.  But, that's a different plotting line.

Following that line of thought, it could be delayed further as the 'bigger' piece of news because the brawl itself, not what it was over (didya hear? Soph and Fig got in a fight! She's always hitting him. No, for real! Hexing and everything!)

I just wanna say a.) poor Zel and b.) Deus wants in. He will be taking bets.

And just a quick fore-warning - anyone who plans to actually fight should plan to get in serious troubs!  Just make sure that's a part of your equation when deciding how you'll be involved. 

Do we want a little bit of set up where key people set up where they want in the Great Hall so Fig's big WHAMMO doesn't happen in the first post of the thread?

Also be aware than any Gyffindors planning on a backlash against Zel- Josh is likely to come down hard on them. ( I'm undecided how far he'll come on those who attack Fig. probably nothing if they stick to verbally castrating him ( he'll probably be joining in any verbal castration of Fig) but if any Gryffindors are planning on cursing Fig...

Ay and Xav are so in!

Ayla will likely do a big backlash on Fig, letting something so big come out so casually. Xavier will have his back, probably won't be there for the initially 'outting' but as soon as someone throws a punch or a hex in Fig's direction Xav's got his back.

OMG I am so all about this.

Huck would be just champing at the bit to knock some goon out for tryina step to Fig or Zel, and would be especially interested in scrappin' with some Strang Gangers. Just sayin'.

Just to be super clear so that this doesn't get out of hand - anyone who fights will face in-character consequences, yes?  Fighting is a big deal, so let's be sure not to take it too lightly!  So if you don't want your character's privileges restricted, or detentioned, or things like that, steer clear or behave. 

So I'm going to set this after October 3 (Hogsmeade Weekend, Abbie's birthday) so that nothing in there is messed up.  Anyone other date restrictions?

I'll stick it in the Great Hall at an evening dinner and get Fig onto some topic that will get him to blab.  Once he lets it slip, it's open as far as I'm concerned!
