Read this announcement!TimelineFor now, we're leaving open the second half of September and opening up most of October to move things along. We're cutting off the timeline at around October 29th so we can move to the Halloween ball (whoo!) when we're ready. We realize that several things happen during October with the Second Task that we haven't quite gotten to yet, but this way we can do new classes, the Hogsmeade weekend, Quidditch, and wizarding world goodness without holding things up. And feel free to continue posting in your September threads!Special Ability ChangesWe have changed the Special Ability rules to better reflect the number of characters a writer has. Special abilities will now be limited per character, not by writer. This means:The broad limits in The Cast will remain. There can only be so many Seers, Animagi, etc in the game. We will not count inactive characters against the Ability limit, and we'll check the limits every once in a while to see if they're still working for us.Two special abilities per character are allowed. So you can apply as long as there is room in The Cast. You can also play around wtih the beginning stage of an ability without applying for it (see below).All characters may try the beginning stage of learned abilities (animagus legilimens/occlumens) regardless of age and their available ability slots. If or once they hit intermediate, please apply for a special ability bio (which will then count against your two ability slots).A note on Special Titles: There are no limits or caps on special titles for adult characters. Each student character may have no more than three special titles.Family TreesCody has created an amazing Family Tree site for Absit Omen! Here, you can see families organized by surnames and how many family members are in each, the most recent individuals and families added, and which countries and places the families come from.Register for an account there and add content about your character's family, if you like. You may also still create a family tree in a thread on Absit Omen, or on the Absit Omen wiki. It is up to you what you'd like to use!
