From his chair, a strange throne surrounded by clutter of books, papers and the odd dirty dish here or there, Knox tried to temper his patience with the misanthropic Healer who never seemed short of nasty things to say and bad news.

But now Knox was puzzled. 

"What are you talking about?" Knox demanded.  He couldn't fathom that things had really gotten so bad for Hannah.  Well, certainly things were bad for them both.  Knox, perhaps, had a buffer around him for his title, and when Howlers came to his home, he just sent them to the fire.  But he was finding himself left off memos, and ignored during hearings and Wizengamot business.  The Daily Prophet also wasn't pulling punches when his name came up, often appending the epthet 'werewolf' to 'Wizengamot Junior Elder' whenever possible. 

And then the notion that he was in some way responsible for her current predicaments.  He was getting woefully tired of that.  Her solution of howling down the courtroom would have made things worse than they are now! And she was blaming him for... for... being homeless? For having her animal companion killed.

"What happened?"
