About You, the Writer: I love to both read - and write -, I play the piano on occasion, and I have a little sister named Paige.
    Your Nickname: Drew
Have you read and do you agree to the Code of Conduct?: Yes
How did you find us and decide to write with us? My friend, Tracey, reccomended this site to me.  I love the HP series (I've read each book at least two times in the past), and I think that joining a Harry Potter role play could be alot of fun!
If you have written other characters here, list them all: Oliver Ainsworth and Zavier Blackstone.

    Full Character Name: Cadeous Morgan
    Character Birthday & Age: 26; June 29th
City & Country of Birth: Westchester, England
    Pureblood, Halfblood or Muggleborn?: Halfblood
Alma Mater: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
    Job: Auror-in-Training

Wand: Ashwood 12"; Core: Dragon Heartstring

Physical Description: Standing at 6'2", Cadeous is a fairly well-built man.  He jogs for one hour every day before sunrise, hence his fit physique.  His brunette hair is cut fairly short, and he has a fairly thick - yet thin - stubble.  His jaw, stubble and all, juts out slightly.  He has dark brown eyes, and his cheek bones are set higher than most peoples' are.

Personality Description: Cadeous is usually quite social and a joy to be around, though he can also be quiet and laid back if put into a sour mood.  Of course, this doesn't mean that he isn't a nice person; he is.  There is virtually nothing that frightens him.  He can be cocky at times, though he is usually very level-headed.  He's kind towards other people and passionate, especially towards those he loves.  While he isn't afraid of, say, spiders, he is afraid of losing his father, whose health had been started on a decline with old age.

His courage can be compared to a wolf who is fighting for his territory.  This was shown during the Battle of Hogwarts, ten years ago to date.  He is, by no means, a brainless brute; he tends to take a step back and examine things for what they are, before doing anything or making any sort of judgements based off of them.  Say, for example; if he were a military general, he'd take the time to learn more about his enemy, before making his next move.  He is usually quite careful, which is why he usually always carries his wand with him.

He is usually a level-headed individual, but can go 'off the deep end' - in lack of a better term - sometimes.  His tongue can be as formidable as his wand if he's provoked to a certain extent.  He doesn't take to insults lightly, and is bound to do something if he witnesses any wrong-doing or sees something that he feels isn't right.

History:  Born in Westchester to Gregory and Jillian Morgan - his father a Muggle -, Cadeous is one of two other siblings, Michael and Kathryn.  Michael, five-years-old at the time of his birth, is very close to his brother - as is Kathryn.  She, two-years-old when Cadeous was born, developed a close relationship with him, as well.  Very rarely did the three of them fight, having been brought up in a loving, yet slightly strick household.

When Cadeous was six, his brother received a letter from Hogwarts, saying that he was to leave for the school as soon as the new term began.  Several years passed, until Kathryn also received her letter.  Soon, Cadeous was the only Mogran child at his house, since his older siblings were attending the 'School of Witchcraft and Wizardry'.  It wasn't until he was eight when he learned that he would, too, receive a letter from the school.  Unfortunately, though, it wouldn't come until he was eleven-years-old.  Upon finding this out, time seemed to pass slowly for him as he went to school day-in and day-out, anxiously awaiting the moment his letter would come.

Finally, several days after his birthday, he received his letter.  He was given a list of supplies that he would need to purchase from Diagon Alley, a hidden Wizarding market connected to the "Leaky Cauldron".  His parents went with him to help him with finding everything he needed.  Cadeous, having seen so much that day that he had never seen before in his life, was even more excited about attending Hogwarts, the school that he had already heard so much about.

He became a Gryffindor the day he was sorted.  The years went by, and he got older.  He attended every single class, received excellent marks, and had taken a liking to Defense Against the Dark Arts, as well as Transfiguration.  He attended every quidditch match that he could make, though he never played for his team.  He dated girls here and there, and went to every dance.  His first five years were magnificent - minus the homework and snobby Potions teacher, Professor Snape.  He scored fairly well on his O.W.L.'s.  It wasn't until his sixth year when the second "Battle of Hogwarts" took place.  He, along with the other students, faced off against the invading Death Eaters.  During the fight, he managed to stun three of them, and used the Expelliarmus spell to disarm a Death Eater about to inflict harm upon a group of second years.  The battle waged on for what seemed like days, though it was Harry Potter who ultimately ended the war after killing Lord Voldemort.  His last year, which seemed the be the best - and worst - year of them all, was rather quiet for the most part.  He was offered a job in the Ministry of Magic as an auror, but he denied it for the time being.  His mother was  sick with cancer at the time - though she got better over time -, and he wanted to remain with her until deciding what it was he wanted to do.  The offer, given to him by Benjamin Falorn, still stands today.  After giving him his phone number in case he wanted to take him up on his offer, Falorn proceeded to help the other aurors ensure that the castle was safe.

Finally, after leaving Hogwarts for the last and final time one year later, he moved into a small apartment complex near the heart of London, where he's resided for the past eight years.

Cadeous's good friend, Claudia Vespucciano, had been wanting him to join the Auror Department ever since his seventh year at Hogwarts.  Determined to get her friend back into the swing of things by getting him the job she knew he wanted, she told him of two criminals who were committing petty thievery and other various crimes across Hogsmeade.  Intrigued by what she had to say, Cadeous set out for the Wizarding village the following week.  After only a few minutes of his being there, Claudia was attacked by one of the thieves; after a short duel that ended with her assailant's incarceration.  Narrowly avoiding being cursed - or worse -by the last remaining thief, Marcus Annwyl, the Minister of Magic - having been asked to Hogsmeade by Claudia prior to the entire incident -, impressed by what he'd seen asked Cadeous to a duel.  He reluctantly agreed.  Spells and hexes flew back and forth between the pair, and ultimately ended with Cadeous having disarmed Marcus.  Further impressed by the fishmonger's talent with a wand, he re-offered him a position within the Ministry of Magic as an Auror.  Accepting his proposal, Cadeous was at last initiated into the program, where he today is still in the process of being a full-fledged Auror...

What is your occupation? How do you go about it?: Cadeous is in the process of becoming an Auror within the Ministry of Magic.
How did you get your current occupation?: Marcus Annwyl re-offered him the job (see above).
How does your past and abilities justify your current skills?: He is an exceptional duelist and possesses a high amount of magical talent; his duel with the Minister of Magic is a pointed example of this.  He is a good listener and never complains when given a task to complete.  He gets the job done thoroughly - he never rushes through or completes something just to get it done.

Writing Sample: "Cadeous, I need you to move some of these boxes to the back for me, mate," his boss, Clark, called out from the front room.  The man was smoking a cigar, reading his newspaper.  Cadeous knew that it wouldn't be wise going against the man's request, so he closed his magazine and set it on the table.  There was a fairly nice setup in the back room; a small refrigerator was set against the back wall, while a plasma screen twenty-four inch televison set hung from the wall.  He was watching a soccer match before he was called, but now, used the remote to shut it off.  He pushed his chair out, stretched, and wandered into the front room.

Clark looked up as he walked through the doorway and grunted.

"I'm gonna' step out for a min', Cade.  I'd like these boxes stacked up 'gainst the wall by the door in the back."

    "Alright."

With that, he made his way through the front door of the store, and it wasn't until he had disappeared from sight down the street when Cadeous pulled his wand out of his pocket.  He didn't see the need to physically move the boxes; especially since Clark was no longer there.  It was definitely times like these when he was grateful for the fact that he was a wizard.

    "Wingardium Leviosa..."

With a simple swish and flick of his wand, all five cardboard boxes left the ground and hovered in the air.  Very carefully, he directed them towards the doorway, barely managing to squeeze them through the door frame, and gently eased them down onto the floor near the wall in the backroom.  He stacked the boxes on top of each other, setting three on the bottom, two on top of that row, and one on the very top.

Finally, after that was done, he slid his want back into the pocket of his jeans.  Hearing the bell above the front door ringing behind him, he turned around to see Clark walk back into the room, a look of bewilderment upon his face.

"Bloody hell... you're getting quicker with that wand, my boy."

Clark was a family friend of the Morgans, and knew that the five of them - Cadeous's siblings included - were of the magic folk.

He smiled and pat his leg, feeling his wand under the material of his jeans.

"Magic certainly has its advantages, Clark."

    ---

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Cadeous Morgan is a kind individual, with a big heart.  His upbringing helped shape him into the man he is today, though that man still doesn't know what he wants to do with his life.  Part of him can't let go of the Muggle world, while the other part of him wants to experience the Wizarding world for what it is, and benefit his fellow wizards by working for the Ministry of Magic as an auror.  He enjoys socializing with others, though he can be quite quiet and reserved at times.  Though, overall, he is a good person, and is easy to get along with.
