Ink and Parchment [Open]

Finally,  the last stop of Leon's shopping day.  They walked into Scribbulus Everchanging Inks,  and saw the most brilliant set up in the world.  There were parchment,  inks,  diaries,  journals,  quills,  handmade items of all styles and many more wonderful things that would the heart.  He spent at least thirty minutes looking at and admiring everything before he even bought anything.  He wished he could take longer to look,  but he and his family were tired and ready for the shopping to be over.  He bought a two cases of parchment,  five cases of ink,  two quills,  a journal,  and a handmade dragon toy.  "How much do I own you ma'am?"  he asked the clerk.

"Your purchase cost forty gold galleons,"  she replied.  He payed her and they left wearily and relieved that the day was over.

Figaro Sellaphix was 16, and a Hufflepuff at Hogwarts.  His family owned an apothecary just near the front of Knockturn.  And even though his dad was in Azkaban for selling contraband, the Sellaphixes were a good, upstanding family.  Rumors flew, but ask any of the Sellaphix's and they'd tell you it was all a big misunderstanding.

Today, Figaro was let out of the shop to go run and some supplies for him and his little brother Frank.  Frank had already gone out with their mum for his wand and everything, but Figaro had yet to gather the things he'd need to refresh his trunk for the coming year.   So on his own he'd made it around to Flourish and Blotts and was now in line at Scribbulus.

Ahead of them was a small family with a really excitable little kid - probably an incoming first year.  They left, and Figaro was about to step up to the counter himself when he noticed something on the ground.  The kid had dropped something.

"Hold on," he told the clerk.  Fig grabbed up the little curiosity and trotted off after the Browns who were walking out.  "Oi! You dropped this."

He held it out in his hand.  Figaro couldn't tell what it was, but it looked important somehow.[1]
