"Are you telling me that we are going to be spending more time together?" His voice was inquisitive as he raised a glass and took another sip just laughing at her. She was being flirty and was acting out of the usual from what he knew of her. Not that he was complaining a little attention went a long way, but he would have to drink a couple more before he did anything of color himself.

"So you like doing this sort of thing? You know making your family members gag in horror as they watch you flirt with an elderly gent?" That was another self deprecating pot shot but he didn't feel like having another lecture. Giving her a small smile, "I'm glad you feel victorious at any rate."

Lukas never really had that sort of family relationship. His father was cold, his mother was quite batty, and his half sister was always busy trying to support her own mother. It was not an easy task for them to bond, in fact he couldn't stand his own father. The only woman who ever felt like his real mother had been his nanny. She at least had what looked to be a healthy relationship from the outside looking in. Not that he knew much when it came to healthy relationships anyway.

"Sadly dear woman I do not know you all that well. It is of course my own fault but I would be happy to learn more about you," since she was offering it would have been mean of him to disappoint. Besides he could stand to learn a little bit more about her. Lukas did enjoy taking time out and talking with her.

Hmm… ”more time together”, eh?  It sounded like a mighty fine plan to her, but his proposition seemed more out of fun than anything else.

“Yes!  I do like it,” she answered his question about horrifying her nieces, “I consider it proper after what I told you my brother did to me,” and with that she turned a bit and blew a raspberry in Billy’s general direction.

"Sadly dear woman I do not know you all that well. It is of course my own fault but I would be happy to learn more about you,"

Well, now that sounded like a genuine offer!  Sadly, as she was about to ask him what time would be good for him, she felt someone tap on her shoulder.

“Sorry to interrupt you, sister dear,” came the cheery voice of Calíope, “but I am afraid it is time for dinner.  Just got an owl from Morgy, and you know she’s going to need our help with the paella.”  Unbeknownst to Covi this was a part of the plan.  To the more experienced witch Lukas was showing signs that he was hooked.  The next step was to leave him wanting more... with a touch of uncertainty, of course.

“But… but I—” and then she was given the look.  With a bit of a growl behind her voice she bent to the Spaniard's will, “yes… she will need help… the pan is strange to her… and big,” she stood, her beer mug still in hand.

“I guess we will have to speak further on this matter at a later date, Mr. Quinn,” she said with a wink and a charming grin.  And with that Callie suddenly grabbed her sister-in-law’s hand and they Apparated away with a POP.

The conversation had been going quite well. "Proper you say?" Lukas wanted to ask her a bit more but before he knew it the mysterious Covi popped out of view. Surely her explanation had been enough for the normal man but he was not normal in that respect.

Grunting out a laugh he finished his beer and stood up to moved about and realized he had more than his fair share there and stretched a little. Looking around for anyone else he might know, finding none, Lukas decided to wander on his way.

Some girls were there to only leave them hanging by a thread. Lukas was not much of a weaver or crafts person so threads were of no use to him. What he wanted to know was what that sister of her's was up to and why her colorful family felt the need to push her off on him and vanish out of sight. The wink left him a little confused maybe nothing was truly over, even when there seemed to be evidence of the contrary.

"Curious, very curious indeed," he said to himself before vanishing with a pop and heading off himself.
