Three dragon tamers met their occupation's inevitable retirement when a dragon killed them on 28 August at the Cardiff Claws Dragon Reserve.   Hephestus MacElroy (35), Amir Bin Alfombra (22), and Reginella Fletchley (54) died from injuries sustained while treating a Common Welsh Green dragon. 

"She were carryin' eggs at th' time," said a spokewitch from the Reserve,  "So she was in a right nasty state."

Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures has since ordered the dragon be put down.  The order was carried out yesterday.
