Going through muggle public school as a barely C-Average student, her reputation wasn't as good as her goody-two-shoes wizard brother, who attended Salem Witches Institute of Magic. Once close as two peas in a pod, Vada and Jet grew apart by going to different schools, and effectively, living very different lives.Growing up in a magically influenced house, Vada was raised in no other way than that of being a witch. So, when the time came that she had to attend muggle public school alone, she had to learn the hard way what it was like. Constantly picked on for not knowing how normal muggle things worked, like a telephone and glue, her adolescent years were very difficult. For the longest time she didn't understand how she could be the only different one in a lineage of all witches and wizards. As the years went by she eventually became accustomed to the muggle way of life and even scorned her parents for relying on magic for such everyday mundane things, saying it was 'cheating'. Though she became very popular among the boys, she never had a real 'friend', due to her flighty attitude.In High School, Vada would skip class to go to the boiler room and play poker with her classmates. From there she learned how to hustle and keep up a facade to get what she wanted. Eventually she became unbeatable, so she ventured into other games involving bets. At times they would get caught and suspended, but this just made Vada extra talented at being sneaky.By the time she graduated Brooklyn Tech High School, she ventured off to Europe for a 'summer of foreign cultural education', which turned into 'I'm living here from now on so leave me alone'. Jobless, homeless, and loving every minute of it, Vada decided that a stable career and mortgages weren't for her. Having no contact with her family since she graduated, the wizarding world and everyone in it become of no concern to Vada.
