Physical Description: Roger stands straight at approximately 6'1''. He is neither particularly handsome nor remarkable in his features but some may consider him to have a charismatic sway. Depending on how much sun he gets, his hair ranges from being an earthy brown in the winter months to a dirty blonde shade, come summer. The squib carries himself with a casual, inconspicuous grace. Hands in pockets and blue eyes peering out from underneath a tousled mess of hair which is almost always in need of a trim.
An avid rugby player in his early adolescence, Roger is fairly well-built and is no stranger to the occasional brawl. He is a hardy, seasoned fighter-- a south paw. His voice is typically husky and low, with a very slight Scottish undercurrent that goes unnoticed by most.
Personality Description:Roger Lemon is a relatively quiet young man. He is emotionally conflicted, in terms of his family and his place in Wizarding society, but is very careful to keep most of these feelings bottled up. He can sometimes be a very private individual and resents people who would pry into his life.
For the most part however, Roger is rather communicative. He is approachable-- the guy you can easily go to for some shady information or tips about where to acquire a little contraband.
In the last year or two, he has left his family in Oxfordshire to go travelling around the country. A few months up in Scotland to visit relatives-- and then making his way down south towards London. He has found himself to be an independent, capable traveller... both amongst muggle and magical folk.
Roger's bad habits have exponentially grown since he turned sixteen. He's not a heavy drinker but he is a lightweight-- and when intoxicated, he can be especially nasty. A fighter-cock. He very wisely keeps away from wizarding pubs, although this doesn't keep him from getting into scrapes with other kinds of people.
Besides hitting the drink, Roger also smokes (both the legal and not-so-legal variety). Holding a cigarette is his idea of a security blanket in unfamiliar situations. He has a naturally suspicious mind and can only really let his guard down around good friends or lovers.
History: CHILDHOODThe Lemons are an average family with very little wealth. James Lemon, one of the last purebloods of his own family, married a rather attractive witch from the MacFusty clan in the early 90s-- they were wed in the city of Glasgow, where they spent the first few years of their marriage. James and Mary were both fairly inclined towards one another and neither of them were interested in the dangerous business of caring for magical creatures. After the birth of their first son, the couple decided to move down to Oxfordshire and start up a farm.
It was some years before they were able to realize that their son, Roger Lemon, possessed no magical ability. He was a squib. They went on to have two other children (both daughters) who were fortunate enough to be 'proper' witches. Gertrude and Agatha Lemon, like their mother once was, are both in Hufflepuff. Roger grew up on the farm for most of his childhood. He attended general knowledge lessons at a home in Oxford city alongside magical children, although his connection with most of them was glancing at best. It was only when he turned twelve that Roger became friends with a pair of twin sisters in the year below him: Raine and Sanya Almasy.
ADOLESCENCE/SCHOOLThey befriended each other just as the girls were being sent off to begin at Hogwarts and when Roger was being forced to start helping out on the farm (now that he was growing too old for lessons). The Lemon farm specialized in agriculture that was in particular demand within the wizarding community. Pumpkins, dangerous plants and rare herbs. As the family had little aversion to muggle culture, Roger attended a community school in the county... or at least he did on most days. He grew into the habit of cutting classes and only appeared in order to participate in sports or club activities. As he grew older, Roger started learning how to ride muggle motorcycles; something his parents turned a blind eye to.
In the year he turned sixteen, Roger's uncle came to visit the farm. Arthur Lemon was an unpleasant wizard in his 30's who largely disagreed with his brother's tolerance of muggle life. A former Slytherin with mentally unstable tendencies, he peppered most conversations with talk of pureblood Elitism. He was also rather bitter to find out that his nephew was a frequent visitor at the Almasy residence-- a wealthy family with a halfblood and muggleborn at its head. That summer, a violent incident occurred in the fields just outside of Woodstock involving Roger, his uncle and the twins. It resulted in the death of Sanya Almasy.
CURRENTEver since the incident of that summer, Roger Lemon has had little to no connection with the Almasy family. He had been an especially good friend to Raine, almost young lovers, but the death of the Ravenclaw caused a seemingly irreparable rift between the two. He had walked away from the incident with a bloody nose and an order to keep away. Roger still feels guilty for Sanya's death; he believes himself to be responsible for it, even though it was his uncle who had committed the murder.
At the moment, the squib is currently located in London. He took off to visit relatives in Scotland last winter and had then begun hitch-hiking south, stopping by various towns on the way down to London city. Roger occupies a tiny, dishevelled studio flat above a coffee shop in the Camden area. He drifts around seeking for part-time employment opportunities and sometimes selling contraband drugs to muggle folk.
Describe your job duties and how you go about them: Freelancing bartender and drifter.
Elaborate on your expertise in your field: Although he has only been drifting around the country for about a good year, Roger has become independent and adept at what he does. He associates with both muggles and wizards, often switching between the two communities in search of some form of livelihood. Official jobs he has held up until now: Coffee barista, sales assistant, ice-cream parlour attendee, janitor, motorcycle mechanic and waiter. He takes on such temporary jobs in order to support his habits, though mostly because he has no real direction in life. Roger is currently a freelancing bartender, on-call at pubs or restaurants who need an extra hand on busy nights (or whenever their permanent bartender is unavailable).

Sum up your character in one paragraph: Roger Lemon is a 17 year old (very soon taking on 18) squib who lives in London city, taking on various temp jobs while meandering between liquor and smoking habits. He is familiar with the muggle criminal underground, often trading there, but is less acquainted with the wizarding crime realm. Most people know him by his last name "Lemon" and he is an approachable, fairly sociable young man.
