"Maddy is one of the hidden gems of Absit Omen. She is an amazingly talented writer -- and an amazing artist on top of it! -- and when you're lucky enough to get her into a thread, she will blow you away with her elegant turns of phrase and her believable characterizations. From wry and subtle Aberdeen to the earnestly adorable Pax, her characters all seem very, very real, and Maddy never shies away from letting them grow and develop by throwing them into plots, even when the consequences are a little foreboding. (Poor Aberdeen and Luke!)

Out of character, Maddy is one of the most genuinely sweet people that you could possibly meet. She is always cheerleading and encouraging others, is always friendly and upbeat, and recently, she's taken on a leadership role in setting up different plots. We are so lucky to have her here writing with us at AO!"

Plus the added benefit of Pax was over there and she had to admit she was sort of excited to see the young one. She barely knew him only that he was a member of SAWS and she felt sort of excited to get to know the fella who had stepped up despite not knowing her. It almost meant more since he was standing up for the rights without knowing someone.

It wasn't if he had thought that Spencer couldn't tell a joke -- she'd been partners with Adon, after all, and no one survived more than ten minutes in the same room with the Israeli Auror without either discovering their sense of humor or attempting to strangle him -- but as far as he could remember, she'd never told one around him. Jonas let out a startled laugh, looking as if he'd been completely taken by surprise at the attempt, and then broke into a real, genuine grin. He flashed the witch a crooked, appreciative smile, some of the tension leaving his shoulders as he let out a quick breath.

Corey winced at the sound of Étienne's voice. He had hoped his noisemaking would not wake anyone but it was clear he was not so lucky. But he also winced because Étienne used his proper name, which always sounded so pretentious coming from his former foster brother's mouth. No matter how many times Corey requested that he use the more informal version of his name, he was always Corentin to Étienne.
