[Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] on February 20, 2012, 10:19:03 PM Outfit.Dinner time.Students filed out of the common room, chattering amongst each other about this and that. Sixth years just arrived from the long seminar they have to experience every day, and most of them were already heading down to dinner. Beatrix Dark, however, had skipped the seminar and ate dinner then. After being revoked from her prefect position, abiding to the rules only made Beatrix testy. She knew fully well her position would be taken away, long before it was. Beatrix was not an adequate prefect. While she was a perfect student, she was, however, not very obedient and orderly. The new headmaster appointed a new prefect and Beatrix didn't really care. She had a fun run, but losing the badge was simply like being told she had to go home after school let out. She felt a lot more free without the badge. She didn't have to follow anymore strict rules and she didn't have to be a rolemodel. Beatrix was freed of plenty of things over the summer. Mostly her responsibilities and her love life. Beatrix was on the market once more. That felt odd to her. Being a sensitive little being, Beatrix never spoke of what happened between the two of them. But Beatrix seemed to be untrustworthy and prone to drawing in jealous boys. She hadn't done much wrong... But arguments led to complications. Complications led to her being dumped. She had accepted that fate with a faint smile and mascara blackening her face. Beatrix had a few rough weeks of doing nothing but eat ice cream and sob. Her father asked her over and over again if she wanted him to do anything. But alas, even after being pushed away by such a perfect boy, Beatrix held no bitterness. And Daddy Dark always respected Bea's wishes, although he probably sent the Pennyapples a few anonymous, threatening owls. Razzy had an even harsher breakup than Beatrix. He was partially why she got over the split so quickly. Beatrix and Razzy had distanced themselves from the world over the summer. Beatrix visited Audrey in France to get closer to her cousin, as there was yet another death in the family and there were some inheritance issues being argued over. Razzy's parents had also began picking out a wife for Razzy, as he was almost of age. Basically, Razzy's life sucked ten times more than Beatrix's, so she had to buck up and comfort her cousin. His breakup was much more nasty and much more emotional than hers. Beatrix liked Vinnie, yes, but Razzy seemed to be unfathomably in love with Harper. Which Beatrix found to be completely preposterous. But she couldn't help but like his taste in men.So the two of them stayed quiet in France. Neither of them cried when they were together, although Beatrix was very certain that she saw Razzy wipe his eyes when leaving the bathroom a few times. But the vacation is what Beatrix needed. Even if she liked to deny her French blood, the culture was rather elegant. And she was able to practice her French for the first time in ages. While Beatrix was quick to start flirting with random dudes again, Razzy simply stood by her side and smiled in a very ominous and condescending fashion. It was startling to the guys, really. But Beatrix took it in good spirits and laughed. Upon arriving to school, he had been named the new Hufflepuff Quidditch Captain, so Beatrix's worries about Razzy had vanished. He had something to distract him... Though she was never truly unconcerned with the boy.Beatrix had literally no worries as she began school again. Everything in her life was working out well, despite it being hard for a month or two. She hummed a soft tune to herself and stepped down from her dorm. She considered going downstairs to visit with friends at dinner, but she decided to settle down in the emptying common room instead. She had some fresh essays she had to write, so she settled herself in a chair and began to outline her potential writings on a parchment. This, of course, led quickly to her simply doodling cats when the common room emptied. Beatrix already had her ideas set in stone, as always. She didn't need to outline anything. But she felt like it always helped her remember her topics, as she did tend to have a crappy memory. Beatrix was naturally a good student, after all. No matter how careless she became, she always managed to pass her classes with flying colors. Beatrix was intelligent, although people believed the opposite. But why the hell would she be in Ravenclaw if she wasn't?She finished the whiskers of the cat with a flourish and giggled to herself, setting aside her drawings. She considered writing out one of her essays, but she didn't have the patience for it at the moment. She had a week or so to finish it, with plenty of study breaks in between. She let out a sigh and accidentally blew the paper down from the table. With a high squeal, she pounced onto the paper before it slipped under the couch. She didn't want to have to reach down there, especially not with her nice, black sweater on. She flicked a strand of hair out of her face and straightened up, on her knees. She reviewed her artwork once more with a beam and picked herself up, off the floor. She really loved cats. Beatrix was the number one fan of cats. Beatrix, being the incredible rebel she was, had two cats instead of one as her pets for school. Eater and Birdie. Eater didn't take kindly to Birdie at first, but the two grew accustomed to each other through Bea's constant affection. Birdie had only been a kitten when the big, handsome Gryffindor saved him for her. It was easy for Eater to take the little thing in like his own. Eater was just a bit rough with him at first.Upon realizing her joy of cats, Beatrix began to spin in swaggering circles, singing the little tune that had been hummed under her breath minutes before, "I'll send you my love on a wire, lift you up, every time, everyone, oh, pulls away from you.*" Dragging out the last syllable, Beatrix continued to spin around the presumably empty room, pink hair fluttering about. The joy of cats was, indeed, very enjoyable. He always hated going into a weekend with homework to do. Homework infringed on his maximum hours of pure laziness that weekends provided and there was nothing better than sitting back and relaxing for a dew days. Plus, it was always entertaining to watch as other students scrambled to finish all their work. It wasn't really as if it was hard to keep up with it all. Church figured that was the idea, after all, they often requested ridiculous lengths for essays. But still, it wasn't an impossible amount, and he hardly saw a reason why anyone should fall behind unless they procrastinated heavily or had severe emergencies. However, seeing as Church was plagued by neither his work was finished within a few hours and the ever familiar boredom fell into place. At first he figured he would draw... but then after about ten minutes of this he recalled that he was rubbish at it and gave up, throwing the pages out his dormitories window and lighting them on fire before they fell. Not very Head Boyish, but still rather efficient. He would have practiced his guitar, if he had it. In hindsight, it would have been a good thing to take with him. So with nothing else to do, he settled on writing a letter from his mother, mostly asking her to forward all the mail on his desk so he could get through it finally. Even if he was a good month or two late on it. With that said and done, Church settled on his bed, cracking open a book to read.Of course, the problem with this was that he ended up falling asleep. That was never something he liked doing, lest it throw off his entire schedule. But alas, Church couldn't do anything about it as he groggily rolled out of bed. With a yawn and a stretch he glanced at his watch which lay on the bedside table. Well, damn. It was dinner time. At that realization his stomach growled. Yes, yes, food now, Church knew the routine. It wasn't as if this was a rare occurrence being a teenage boy after all.Ignoring his stomach, which growled again, Church began heading down the stairs and into the common room. He was expecting the place to be empty, or very nearly considering it was dinner time. Normally students ate when they had the chance. What he wasn't expecting was a little pink-haired girl singing and 'dancing' in the middle of the room. Oh Beatrix... always up to something quirky.Church attempted to make his way past her unnoticed when she almost spun right into him and he had to take a step back. Why did this always seem to happen? It was like the world conspired against him when he tried to be discrete. "Oi, Dark," Church called as she continued to spin away from him. "Middle of the common room ain't exactly a good place to spin right round." Like a record, right round. "Seriously, may want to watch it before you hurt yourself. Or someone else, for that matter." Skip to next post Re: [Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] Reply #2 on February 21, 2012, 01:54:46 PM Of course Beatrix didn't expect anyone to come trotting down from their dorm, she was much too busy singing to think properly. She didn't particularly care, anyhow. She was known around the school for having practically no shame. Which was also why she was caught endless amounts of times with Vincent Pennyapple in empty classrooms and closets. She would simply giggle, apologize, and skip along like nothing was wrong. And nothing was wrong, but it definitely didn't help her reputation. Beatrix had always had vicious rumors going against her that she was easy. Truth be told, she was simply very flirtatious and couldn't resist a snogging with a handsome boy. But she wasn't easy. She was pure as can be. She just had a few devilish kinks in her. And if she wasn't ashamed of her sex drive, she certainly wasn't going to be ashamed of her spastic dancing. And Beatrix was known for having quite the lovely singing voice (although some really didn't enjoy sopranos like Bea), so the singing was a regular occurrence. The only times Beatrix was ever truly embarrassed was when she was trying to impress a teacher and something went wrong, or that one time Erin Harper caught a glimpse of her colorful undies (or that one time a teacher saw her in her undies). She wondered if Erin ever told Razzy about that... Razzy probably laughed about that for days. That jerk.So when Beatrix nearly knocked into Church Comer, she hardly noticed. All the petite girl saw was a blanket of smooth, pink hair. Beatrix's hair grew bright, almost glowing, as she twirled around. That was very common when Beatrix was happy. A florescent pink that hurt everyone's eyes. Beatrix could still recall a time when nobody really knew she was a metamorph. Back when she controlled her emotions well and was considered a catch by pureblood boys. When she stopped caring, and her pink hair made it's debut, complications started to pile up. Beatrix not only came from a notoriously crazy bloodline, but her father was a criminal on the loose, her carelessness began to turn people away, and she started to don very off putting clothes. Of course, in her fifth year of school, boys began to hold interest in Beatrix again. Aside from her eccentric behavior, she was sweet and caring. And while she could be thoughtless, she was very apologetic and affectionate. She was crazy. But it was a pleasant crazy. The singing ceased and it turned into a squeaky giggle as Beatrix began to feel dizzy. At that point, it wasn't necessarily dancing as it was just her spinning around in a circle."Oi, Dark,"The spinning stopped and Beatrix staggered before plopping over, onto the ground. She continued to laugh at herself for being so clumsy and she glanced up at the voice that was basically scolding her. Upon realizing it was Church, her bubbly smile spread across her face. Beatrix had a thing about head boys. And that thing was that she loved to mess with them. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Mr. Head Boy," Beatrix giggled and stood up on her knees again, keeping herself balanced by placing a hand on the coffee table beside her. Beatrix didn't know Church all too well, despite being in the same level and house as him. She also hadn't experienced his authority yet. So far, however, she didn't like him as much as Leon Monroe. Not that Church was a bad head boy, per se. Beatrix didn't know him too well. But Leon was a sweetheart with a backbone. Despite always messing with him, if Leon told Beatrix to do something, she'd do it. But that was also because Leon was Quidditch Captain. Was Church Quidditch Captain? No, he wasn't. But Beatrix supposed judging Church like that was unfair. Leon made it his goal to strive for perfection. It was a bit amazing that he wasn't a Slytherin, since he was so ambitious, but Leon must have been really intelligent. She decided she'd give Church a chance. She was simply biased, after having to be with Leon for so long. She tossed her hair out of her face and continued to smile up at Church. She stood back up, flicking off lint from her knees, "But I think the easier solution to this predicament of yours is to simply stay out of my way." Her bubbly smile widened into the signature Dark grin. Something she shared with each of her siblings and her father. Well, 'Rin probably didn't have the smile, but Mikey did, as much as he hated it. Mikey was too sweet to have that mad look in his eye, but alas. Genes were genes. The grin subsided back into her girlish smirk and she continued to bore her blue eyes into Church's. Without missing a beat, she placed her parchment back onto the table and cleared her throat. Beatrix also wanted to note that if Church really assumed she was going to hurt herself by spinning around in a circle, he must have had a very sad, restrained childhood. But she held her tongue. She knew better than that. A lady never argues with authority. As much as Beatrix hated to respect her superiors, she could never stop herself from abiding to their whims. She wondered if Daddy Dark would be proud of her or not. On one hand, he preferred her to be a good girl. On the other, who the hell cares about rules?"I was just trying to have fun," Beatrix told him, tilting her head toward him; never blinking, smile still in place. "I suppose you don't know the meaning of the word, do you... Mr. Head Boy?" She giggled before straightening her neck, "I'm joking, of course! Loosen up! Here, come here!" She stepped forward, her small hands reaching out and beckoning him to step forward. "Let's dance, okay? I promise I won't hurt you or myself! Maybe not myself, but you should be relatively unscathed!" Another joke. She giggled and spread out her fingers. There was no need for the head boy to be such a downer. Beatrix, of course, was only there to make authority figures feel uncomfortable in all sorts of situations. Mostly not on purpose, but sometimes she could quite the diabolical witch. Skip to next post Re: [Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] Reply #3 on February 21, 2012, 07:23:53 PM Church watched in curiosity as the girl... fell over and picked herself back up. She certainly was a strange one. But then, if he recalled correctly she was probably insane, like the rest of her family. Her father had broken out of Azkaban, after all. Oh dear, tread lightly. Last thing Church needed was a psychopath coming after him because of something his daughter had said. Still, she seemed pleasant enough, he supposed. In that sort of annoying hyperactive way. Fine, Church could play nice. But did she really need to keep referring to him as that? It was certainly annoying, but he couldn't tell if it was patronizing or not. The giggle made it worse. Seriously, must she giggle after every sentence? And that smile... it was somewhat horrifying, unsettling. Probably because it reminded him of a smile and insane person would give. "If my definition of fun is anything like my definition of love, I doubt you'd want any of it," He said in a bored tone. "Not to mention I don't think my blood alcohol level is high enough." It was meant to me a sarcastic remark, but Church did have a habit of lightening up while wasted. Oh alcohol, you temptress you."I... what?" Dance? With her? She wasn't serious. But he watched as she stepped forwards, reaching out her hands. Okay so she was serious. "I'm going to regret this," Church muttered, stepping forward and taking her hands, doing his best to stay calm. He hated the feeling of other peoples skin. It was disgusting and it caused him to stiffen stiffen slightly. Church took a few deep breaths, hoping it would help calm him down.It didn't. Skip to next post Re: [Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] Reply #4 on February 25, 2012, 01:20:49 AM "If my definition of fun is anything like my definition of love, I doubt you'd want any of it," Beatrix stared, blankly, at him for a moment. She felt that he was being a bit pretentious at that point, but she was willing to forgive him. She wasn't surprised that the new head boy was a bit condescending. She was simply still accustomed to the humble authority of Leon. She had to get over that. Beatrix supposed a new, confident head boy was what they needed directing them. Perhaps. Beatrix was beginning to question why the new authority figures were a bit... Well... They were kind of mean. Erin Harper and Razzy were Quidditch captains, despite the fact that they were probably too aggressive and hateful to direct an entire team. Beatrix scolded herself, inwardly, for having such prejudice over Church. Sure, he threw a very pretentious line, but that didn't automatically make him a hateful bastard like Erin Harper. "I don't know what you're getting at," Beatrix began, her smile coming back again, "But to be fair, I wouldn't want your love either way, because I have no bloody clue who you are." She paused, feeling bad for being a bit sassy with the head boy, before adding, "Er... I mean, I know who you are, Mr. Comer. I just don't know you, is all."Church probably believed her to be slow at that point, as did everyone when they first met Beatrix. And she felt a bit terrible for being so completely sassy with the boy. Up until that point, at least. She vowed to keep her lips locked if she had something unkind to say. She supposed she had been with Razzy and Bellatrix too long. A whole summer of nothing but those two influencing her. Beatrix had to snap back into her normal antics. She bit her lip and her hair quivered blue, signifying she was bumming herself out with her crappy behavior. But she snapped back into retardedly-happy mode and smiled again, "Your blood alcohol level doesn't need to be tampered with! I assure you that dancing is profoundly enjoyable and people who are too embarrassed to dance lead pathetic, unfulfilled lives." Perhaps that was a bit dickish, too. But Beatrix smirked and one of her giggles escaped her lips, "I can fulfill that void in your life, Mr. Comer. If you wish." Beatrix was a great friend, after all. Until she stabbed her friends in the back. Which she would do if she had the opportunity. Church was a lucky guy to have spoken to Bea.Beatrix also wanted to note that alcohol was disgusting and also lead to unfulfilled lives, but that was simply a stretch. Beatrix hated the taste of alcohol. It burned and left a sickly flavor on her tongue. She never participated in the consumption of alcohol, but she never stopped her friends from running headfirst into their intoxicated fates. She wasn't a very judgmental girl, although she could be quite the gossipy prude. Beatrix didn't like what alcohol did to people, however. And would prefer it if people left the sinful liquids alone. But she never told anyone that.Church took her soft hands into his and she pulled herself closer to him, a pleasant grin curving her lips. She was never aware of when people didn't wish to be touched or loved on. Beatrix had a bad habit of simply grabbing people, but luckily (for Church) she asked for permission this time. Beatrix quickly analyzed the boy, taking note of his features up close. He was shorter than most guys Beatrix encountered. She tended to waltz with boys who stood almost a foot taller than her. With Vincent, she always rested her head below his chin. Instead, Beatrix could rest her chin on Church's shoulder. Which was exactly what she did as she began to lead Church into a quick-paced ballroom dance. Beatrix wasn't sure if she preferred Church's stature over Vincent's. Except, it wasn't as if Beatrix could ever go back to Vincent... She was bumming herself out again. She decided that their lack of music was inefficient for dancing, and so she began to sing a little diddy,"Mr. Head Boy, let's be merry, like getting a new toy or eating a cherry. It'll make you nice and fed, we can dance until we're dead, I have a shed, and I write with lead... But lead is poisonous... And... You could die. Oh me, oh my,"The diddy didn't give her any poetic justice, but she believed it would suffice. She smiled, wildly, and continued to spin the two of them slowly, forming a lopsided circle. Beatrix didn't like being in the lead, but at this point she believed Church to be a tad slow. At least, socially. Head boys tended to be that way. They were usually brilliant, but they could never seem to get accustomed to normal conversation or interactions. She giggled lightly before adding to her song, in a low whisper, "You should come have tea with my cats and I... But stay out of my shed." Beatrix didn't recall whether or not she really had a shed. She hadn't visited the Dark Manor's yard in a while. She would guess she had shed, but she wasn't quite sure. "My cats are very nice," she told him, breaking out of song, "Very pleasant to have tea with. You should come have tea with us tomorrow." Skip to next post Re: [Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] Reply #5 on February 26, 2012, 02:01:59 AM "I can fulfill that void in your life, Mr. Comer. If you wish.""Oh I severely doubt that," Church muttered to himself. Besides, it wasn't that he couldn't dance; he could dance quite well, truth be told. It was more that he didn't dance. Not often anyway. He had never quite found anyone that he enjoyed dancing with. Plus, he didn't exactly consider dancing in random circles in the middle of the damn room to be necessary to his life. Nor did he consider said life to be 'unfulfilled'.But he didn't really have much of a chance to voice these concerns, for as soon as he took her hand she stepped up to him. Really, really close. So close there chests were touching and she put her chin on his shoulder. Oh, God, why? What had he gotten himself into? Without any hesitation she led him into a quick waltz. Which was good, at least it was a dance he knew how to do. Although considering how stiff he was he probably was doing a poor job. Okay, calm down Church. Breathe. Yes, that was much better. The sweet scent of strawberries. Wait, what? Where did that come from? It must be her hair, Church realized. Well, whatever. It helped him relax some, at least. "Mr. Head Boy, let's be merry, like getting a new toy or eating a cherry. It'll make you nice and fed, we can dance until we're dead, I have a shed, and I write with lead... But lead is poisonous... And... You could die. Oh me, oh my,"Church let out a small chuckle and returned the girls smile. That was certainly an... interesting song. Pretty good, he supposed, for making it up on the damned spot. Church doubted he could do any better. And at least it helped him relax more so that subtly he began taking the lead of the dance. Stay out of her shed, she said next. That was equally strange. What did she mean by that? Was it literal? Did she own a shed? Or was it figurative? Oh god this was going to drive him crazy."My cats are very nice, very pleasant to have tea with. You should come have tea with us tomorrow.""Oh well, I do love cats," Church said honestly. Because he really did love cats. He wish he had a cat. And it would sleep on his bed and purr and be all warm and soft and cuddly. Well if that wasn't one of his girliest thoughts... Well whatever, cats were great. "But what time?" He asked. After all he had plans with Jazz and Elijah the next morning. "I'm kinda tied up until after lunch." Skip to next post Re: [Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] Reply #6 on March 09, 2012, 12:34:59 AM Beatrix really didn't appreciate Church's muttering to himself. For Merlin's sake, she was right there, she could hear him perfectly. The grumpy piece of poop wasn't going to deter Beatrix anymore than any other grumpy piece of poop would. She squeezed his hand perhaps a little too hard than she should have and smiled sweetly. She was simply being nice to him... Why did he have to be such a sour puss? He may have severely doubted Beatrix could be a welcoming change in his life with her lovely dancing, but he would be pleasantly surprised upon discovering he was wrong. Beatrix may have had a terrible habit of flirting with every boy she encountered and kissing and fleeing whenever she pleased, but she could be a terrific friend... Sometimes. The fact that he was so quick to judge her harshly was enough to make her consider pinching him. But she refrained. She knew better than to harm the head boy, especially when he was already being an unfriendly jerk. Beatrix could fix that about him. She had a very special talent of making jerky jerks turn into rather pleasant gentleman. Like Callum Knight or Erin Harper. Although both of them ended up hating her after their little... Relationships, or whatever they could be considered. Erin was more so a hook up and then a violent quarrel involving Erin hating her forever. Beatrix still considered him incredibly attractive, though. She just didn't openly express that view due to Razzy.Church was a horrible dancer, no wonder he hadn't wanted to dance with her. He was probably incredibly embarrassed. Beatrix continued to smile, in order to assure him he was doing a fine job. She placed her chin against his shoulder again in order to hide her increasingly wicked grin. She wanted to laugh at him, poke fun at his dancing, turn the tables around and make Church feel like the one being judged. Of course, Beatrix wasn't judging him. She thought it was cute, if anything, she simply didn't like his prejudice toward her. She wondered what she had done to make him come off so crude, or if he was simply like that. If that was the case, Beatrix could get used to it rather quickly. Otherwise, she could fix herself... She didn't want people to dislike her. She was sick of people hating her... She wasn't quite sure what she even did to deserve it. But she supposed, since she assumed herself to be an awful person, it had to do with her flaws she couldn't seem to fix. She rested her cheek against her shoulder and ignored her own, conflicted thoughts. This wasn't the time to be hard on herself. "Have you suffered a stroke recently, or are you just bad at dancing?" She asked him, softly, in his ear. She smirked and bit her tongue. Okay, that was mean. Beatrix totally didn't mean to say that. She was pleasantly surprised by his reaction to her song. He actually laughed. Beatrix beamed up at him, blue eyes round as can be. She felt like a teacher trying to connect with their students. "I finally got to him. I'm finally reaching my student." Next thing she knew, she would be directing a hiphop dance team and winning the championships. Wow, Beatrix sure was gonna impress the romantic lead then. Beatrix caught on quickly to him wishing to lead her, so she let him. She was a bit of a traditionalist in the sense that she preferred it when the man was a gentleman and did all the leading and was courteous. On the other hand, Beatrix was pretty keen on being independent, which Daz had taught her early in life. But Beatrix had a need for affection and direction. Perhaps that's why she didn't like being a prefect very much. She was much too fond of being the one ordered rather than doing the ordering. Though... Power was always rather fun to wield."Oh well, I do love cats,"Beatrix giggled and nodded, "That's good! I love cats, too!" Wow, they were soul mates. Best friends forever. Her long hair seemed to grow pinker by the minute. Cats really excited her, after all. She loved them to death and she wished she could own all the cats in the world. Beatrix always grew excited whenever someone loved cats, also. Especially a boy. A boy who liked cats got fifty appealing points in her book. Achievement Get! Church Comer is suddenly appealing (kind of)! A bit too short and not very masculine, not exactly Bea's cup of tea. She needed her men towering over her with muscles and the stench of sweat. But Church was very brooding and glared a lot, which was always a plus. Beatrix's grin continued to crack her pale face. She completely disregarded Church as a lover and considered him a potential friend. She wasn't entirely ready to move on, now was she? Especially not with some boy who seemingly disliked even touching her. Especially not a boy who didn't look exactly like her ex that didn't fit her shallow tastes. But he had a pleasant smile... And lordy knew Beatrix needed even remote, indirect affection after being rejected like a slag. She felt better, even if she was completely indifferent toward the boy whose hand was entwined with hers."But what time?"Beatrix stared at him, eyes wide along with her smile. Shit, she didn't know. Did he really expect her to know what time she was going to bombard him? "After lunch apparently," she told him, vaguely. It would be a surprise. How fun! She would have to bake things, anyway, so she would take lunch to do that. She was very fond of cakes, after all. And one could not have a tea party without cakes. She also had a brand new tea set she was looking to use; the teapot and cups were decorated with cats. Church would be so happy, she could tell. Church was unequivocally a cat enthusiast. A connoisseur. She could tell. And if he had a cat, Beatrix's cats could meet it and they could be friends and by god that was a brilliant idea. Although Eater would probably try to eat it. Birdie would be pleasant, however! Beatrix wondered if she would have to pack an extra cup. What if his cat didn't like tea or cake?! Beatrix was lucky enough to have obese kitties that enjoyed people food. Beatrix was always pleased each time she fed her cats sweets and they ate them. She had researched what cats could and could not eat, and she was simply just making them fat and probably giving them diabetes. However, she made sure never to feed them chocolate. That would make her a terrible pet owner. She had to be cautious with her fat babies. "I don't know! We'll see how my cats feel tomorrow!" She told him with a giggle. Skip to next post Re: [Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] Reply #7 on March 09, 2012, 01:31:21 AM "Have you suffered a stroke recently, or are you just bad at dancing?"Church chose to ignore that comment. Normally he would reply with something sardonic, like 'both', but it didn't really seem like she would care. She'd probably just laugh. Yea... that seemed like something Beatrix Dark would do. She'd laugh and say how silly he was, or something. Maybe making friends with an insane girl was a bad idea. But of course he was a horrible dancer. It's not like he had anyone to practice with anyways."That's good! I love cats, too!"Of course she was... no surprise there. She honestly seemed like the type who would end up with fifty cats and become a crazy cat lady. And did her hair just get... pinker? How in the hell did that make any sense? Unless she was a metamorph... which would explain it. Up until now Church had figured she merely dyed her hair that color. But if it got brighter at mentioning cats... it changed with emotions? So he supposed pink, or at least a brighter pink, represented joy. How cute."After lunch apparently."Apparently. Oh yes, vagueness was always fun. Well, at least she agreed for it to be after lunch. That made his life easier, he wouldn't have to worry about two things at once. He wasn't entirely sure he was comfortable with the whole tea party idea. Especially since it sounded like she was planning to just spring it on him randomly. Although if the whole ting rode on how her cats felt maybe he would be able to get out of it. At least for tomorrow."Sounds good to me," Church half lied. Slowly he ended their waltzing which he was probably doing a horrible job with anyways. Besides, he still wanted to eat dinner. "So I'll see you sometime tomorrow?" Maybe, anyways. Hopefully he would be more excited by the time lunch rolled around. Skip to next post Re: [Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] Reply #8 on March 09, 2012, 03:12:02 AM Of course Beatrix could tell the boy was uncertain. They had only just met and she was already insisting on bombarding him. They hardly even had a legitimate conversation. But that never stopped Bea from forcing her friendship onto people. He would have to deal with her insistent loving and he would have to get used to the fact that Beatrix Dark wasn't going to leave him alone. Unless he spoke up about it, of course. Beatrix couldn't take rejection very well. Especially when she wasn't sure what she even did wrong. And she never knew what she did wrong. If Church were to be rude enough to push her away, fine. But he seemed like a nice fellow. If he didn't have a sliver of acceptance with Beatrix, he wouldn't have allowed her to grab hold of him and waltz. And he was the one leading the waltz, after all. He still wasn't a fantastic dancer, but he was considerably better now that he was leading. Beatrix would have to practice with him, perfect his posture and where his hands were supposed to be. Then there was the whole deal with him being stiff as a dead body. Lucky for Church, Beatrix was rather fond of the undead. If he was consistently a zombie, Beatrix would be perfectly content with that."Sounds good to me,"Gee, forced friendship was the best. Had the feel and flow of a broken sentence; irritating and not quite right. Church awkwardly threw out a blatant lie and Beatrix continued to smile at him. The waltz drew to a halt and she left her warm fingers linger a tad too long in Church's. Perhaps just to spite him. A slight pained expression creeped up before she covered it up with her wide, toothy grin. She didn't like having to force him into a friendship, but he gave her no choice. Beatrix insisted upon befriending everyone she met, and Church was no exception. Her tiny hands fell to her side and her manic smile lingered. Perhaps... If Church didn't want to be her friend, she could try to befriend another boy. One with hookers and blackjack. Actually, forget the boy! Considering Beatrix knew nothing about Church, the fact that he himself was being awkward and uncomfortable wasn't what was bothering her. Beatrix was simply looking for someone she wouldn't have to fight for; someone whose affection would be easy to obtain. That's what she needed. She didn't need a gloomy boy she practically just met. However, Beatrix didn't see the harm in becoming the boy's friend. If he wouldn't give her affection, so be it. She would visit him tomorrow and judge by how he acted then, whether or not he was worth her precious time. She had no patience for hesitant jerkholes who thought she was a joke. And he probably thought she was a joke..."Yes, very good!" Beatrix added, her voicing cracking a tad under her own, dumb, emotional pressure. She cleared her throat and waved a hand in the air, waving off the crack in her voice. It was nothing. Just a fluke. "I'm looking forward to it, yes!" She told him, enthusiastically. She actually didn't care either way. She would probably forget, which was what Church was probably counting on. Or maybe she would simply just not show up at all. Purposely hang around another boy in front of Church, get him jealous of all the fun they're having. Christ, was she really that kind of person? Plus, who the heck cared about what Church thought of her? Perhaps it was all that pleasant smile slop that Beatrix had thought up before. He looked very pleasant. Beatrix enjoyed the way he looked. He was very... Nonthreatening and effeminate. Not that was entirely a bad thing. It was a good thing in this case. Beatrix internally waved off all the thoughts she was having about Church being a jerk for being uncertain. Of course he was uncertain, they had just met. She had to realize that not everyone was as open as she was. She'd give him a chance, yes. Lordy knew she needed friends..."So I'll see you sometime tomorrow?"She stepped back, taking this as a sign of his leaving. She smiled and nodded, "Probably! We'll see!" She had to leave him guessing. If he was expecting her, it wouldn't be as much of a surprise. And Beatrix loved surprises. Bea collected her papers from the table once more, tucking her quill neatly behind her ear and accidentally smudging ink in her hair and on her fingers. The girl turned back to her superior, manic smile back in place once more. "I promise it'll be fine! Stop looking like I'm about to snap and ravage you," she told him. Of course, that was actually a very probable possibility, but he didn't need to know that.Beatrix turned her heels and began to head back up to the girl's dormitories. She would continue her work there, where she wouldn't be disturbed by boys with stern attitudes or the sudden urge to dance. Of course, Beatrix loved boys and dancing, which was quite obvious because of her little moment with Church. But otherwise, she needed to focus and be a good student. Besides, if she had a tea party planned, she better get her work done. Fun was a reward for achieving success, that's what she was taught. She paused a moment to turn back to Church, eyes analyzing him completely for the first time. The definition of brooding and stern. No wonder he made head boy. "It was nice speaking with you, Church. Or, what little we did speak..." She stepped back. Her wicked smile had subsided into a thin line. "Expect me." With that, she turned back and began to trot up the stairs to her dorm. Church was still riding on the thought that she wouldn't show up. Or would forget. Or wouldn't be able to find him. Or some other fourth thing, whatever it was. Of course, life had a habit of completely messing with him. Which meant Church should probably prepare himself to be assaulted while walking down the hallways tomorrow."It was nice speaking with you, Church. Or, what little we did speak... Expect me."Church almost wanted to apologize for not being talkative. But then he remembered that it wasn't exactly his fault. It was just the way he was built and it was unlikely that he would change anytime soon. Truth be told he was fairly talkative to people he did know. So there was at least a plus side. "I'll try to," Church commented as the pink haired girl headed off. He just wouldn't try very hard. With that in mind he turned and began heading down to the Great Hall for dinner. Skip to next post
Skip to next post
Re: [Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] Reply #1 on February 21, 2012, 04:14:09 AM It had been a fairly dull Friday, aside from the chat with Professor Pony, and Church had spent the rest of finishing up his assignments for next week. Or someone else, for that matter." Re: [Sept. Re: [Sept. Skip to next post
Re: [Sept. You should come have tea with us tomorrow." Skip to next post
Re: [Sept. "I'm kinda tied up until after lunch." Skip to next post
Re: [Sept. Skip to next post
Re: [Sept. Skip to next post
Re: [Sept. Re: [Sept. 4th] There must be other factors [Church, Closed] Reply #9 on March 09, 2012, 03:41:39 AM "Probably! We'll see!"Well, yes. They most definitely would see.
