She knows what he is and what he’s done, which puts him in a nice little corner– but on the other hand, he’s always been a fighter, and nothing gets a fuck you like a steel-clad hand around his proverbial balls. Both in public and in private, he is perfectly respectful, if noticeably tense; however, there is a terseness to his words that toe the line of rudeness.They may have been dating for less than a month, but despite the brief amount of time Rick’s gotten very attached. Against all odds (not to mention track records), Rick finds himself captivated by the person Leon is– not just how he looks like, but who he is– in a way that, Rick suspects, won’t burn out anytime soon. While not the nicest of siblings to grace the Donovan tribe, she probably cares the most, and of the six she’s the one Rick really listens to; when she isn’t trolling people with her lycanthropy and hitting on everything that catches her nose eye, Shona is a leader, with a cool head on her shoulders and a temper that translates into a ruthless streak. She’s a fucking menace when you get her hackles up.She is also an old source of guilt, for Rick, because he knows that if it hadn’t been for him, he’d at least have a nephew. After a surprising break-in that left Rick with a bonafide employee and new wards in place, Phillip has been working at the shop since then, as well as ingratiated himself to Rick’s family. Rick, on his part, has accepted this somewhat less than graciously, and takes pleasure in making the boy suffer in a number of small, mostly harmless but probably evil ways. Phillip’s pay is docked regularly, and with relish.Alex is sarcastic, judgmental, and... a bit of a shit, to be honest. However, she is also smart, keen, and tough, which is why she is Rick’s apprentice instead of, say, someone else’s. Despite the gratuitous snark and scathing insults, the pair make a good team, and though Rick would never admit it (or rather, would be hard-pressed to, and most likely only at the expense of another, in that case), Rick respects her, and looks after her no matter what either of them might say. No one scares discomfits him quite like her, and he won’t thank you if you do. With Ira, Rick maintains a tenuous balance between wary respect and bravado. She knows what he is and what he’s done, which puts him in a nice little corner– but on the other hand, he’s always been a fighter, and nothing gets a fuck you like a steel-clad hand around his proverbial balls. Both in public and in private, he is perfectly respectful, if noticeably tense; however, there is a terseness to his words that toe the line of rudeness.They may have been dating for less than a month, but despite the brief amount of time Rick’s gotten very attached. Against all odds (not to mention track records), Rick finds himself captivated by the person Leon is– not just how he looks like, but who he is– in a way that, Rick suspects, won’t burn out anytime soon. On top of being smart, interesting, fucking enthusiastic and ridiculously attractive, Leon brings out a side of him that hasn’t seen the light of day for a long time—the one that shares small, stupid anecdotes, smiles without intent, and doesn’t have to be piss drunk to do so.Rick knows he should be worried, but… the sex is really, really good Who cares if he’s already finding Leon’s stuff in his flat?Leon Faulkner20, Sculptor Skip to next post
