Alice was bleeding heavily from the nose still and was in an in-out conscious state. Annette knew enough about the Human Body to know that that much blood coming from her friends face, was not a good sign. Dilly gave her directions to the Hospital Hut and the 4 of them all headed to the Wooden Cabin-like place on a hilly terrain.

Annette saw the stairs. How would they get Alice up there? Was anyone going to be there when they made it up? Annette didn't know enough about this place. Her arm was tight around Alice's right shoulder and Dessa was on the other side. Dilly trailed behind. She looked over her shoulder that was not occupied by Alice's head.

"Uh, Dilly, do you know if there's always someone up there to help in situations like this? Is there another entrance than from the stairs?" Nette wasn't sure if going up the stairs was even possible.

"I'b fibe. I'll try da stairs." Alice said. It was clear she wasn't going to make up the stairs as her friends had pretty much dragged her the way there. She put most of her weight on the two girls, trying to walk, but still having  much trouble.

She looked up lazily at Annette. "You are amazing." Her head was swirling. "So bery amazing."

"We don't usually go up the front steps," said Dilly. "The stairs in back are lots easier, just in case somebody can't climb up to the bedrooms. Come on then..."

Still helping to support Alice, she guided them to the back stairs. There were only three of those; and just as Dilly had said, they were much easier to manage. The steps led into the kitchen, where Alice could sit at the table while they figured out what to do next.

Dilly handed Alice a towel. "Here...lean your head forward and pinch between your nostrils, like that kid said back there. I'll run upstairs and see if anyone's here. If not...well, Kalie will know where Tulo...erm, Madame Nagde...went."

Dilly just hoped if she had to release Kalie, that the eagle wouldn't go after her. Madame Nagde wouldn't want two patients to look after, if it could be helped...

She ran upstairs to see if anyone was home.

Dessa sat with Anni and Alice at the little table, getting up periodically to fetch more and more napkins, in a pointless attempt to staunch the flow of blood from her friend's nose. She shared a concerned look with Annette as Alice's eyelids drooped, her head lolling on her shoulders.

She didn't know exactly how much blood Alice had lost, but it was not good if it was enough to make her faint. Suddenly, Dessa had an idea. She ought to talk to Alice, try to keep her alert, make her concentrate so that she wouldn't slip off.

Also, Dessa had something she was wondering about.

"Hey Al. How are you feeling?" she began gently.

Alice's skin was becoming pale, and her head drifted lazily. Black spots would appear in her vision and then disappear. She felt dizzy, as she sat there,  blotting her nose.  She rolled her head to look at Dessa.

Hey Al. How are you doing?

She smiled and looked at Dessa. "You hab curly hair." She laughed quietly. She then realized that she was asked a question. "Oh!" She said. "I am ducky." She laughed once again. "Like a silly, rubber, ducky."

Dessa blinked. "Yeah, Alice, I have curly hair." she replied, all forced cheerfulness, though she honestly doubted her friend would've noticed if she'd responded while snarling. "And I'm glad you're feeling er...ducky. Can I ask you a question?"

Alice smiled, feeling loopy from the blood loss. "Anythib. I'b lobe to answer." She laughed once more, only this time at her own voice. "I sound french." Alice said, rolling her head from shoulder to shoulder.

"This is a nice home. When did we get here?" She said looking at the wooden walls. " I don't care for black spots, but they appear and disappear, so I can deal."

Tulojow limped through the door between the kitchen and the main room moments after the trio of girls had settled at the table.  She knew Dilly was about somewhere; she'd heard the girl's unmistakable footsteps tromping up the stairs to the second floor.  "Delia!" Tulojow called as she passed by the base of the stairs as she fetched a handful of clean clothes, some ice water and moved towards the seated trio.

She took a quick survey of the scene as she approached and knelt in front of Alice.  The initial injury and most pressing injury was obvious; a brief glance at the other two girls suggested that they were along for moral support rather than shared, communal injuries.  "So, what exactly happened?" Tulojow asked, gently lowering Alice's hand with the blotting towel to take a quick peak at the damage. 

"This will be cold," Tulojow warned, dipping one of the cloths in the ice water and covering the girl's nose with it.  Firmly, she clamped the girl's nostrils closed at the bridge of her nose and held it. 

Dessa watched as the nurse covered Alice's nose with a wet cloth, feeling somewhat on edge. She had a little bit of trouble trusting doctors and nurses, dating back to her time at the orphanage, where any health practitioners brought in were more likely to order a quick fix, or insist there was nothing wrong and that they ought to stop crying, than actually help.

"We were in flying class," Dessa answered the nurse, since Alice wasn't really in any position to do so herself. "And her glasses fell off, then she ran into a tree, and..." Dessa trailed off, glancing nervously at Alice. She knew the nurse would want to hear about Alice's hysteria, but she was afraid to bring up the topic in front of her bloody friend, for fear that it might set her off again. "Alice," she said gently, "Do you remember what happened after you hit the tree? What you were talking about?"

Dessa felt like she was treading on eggshells. Seeing Alice so worked up, sobbing and screaming with blood all over her face, had been terrifying. Plus, she knew it couldn't have been pleasant for her friend. She was hoping to avoid inducing another such episode.

Alice felt the damp cloth touch her nose, as she flinched a little. She was happy to be taken care of, almost like this lady was a grandmother. Alice thought that there was actually a chance that this lady was a grandmother. It was like she had done this for a while.

The dried blood on Alice's cheeks began to wash away from the cold water, and Dessa brought the fact she was talking. "I... I was talking? What was I saying? What did I do?" She said looking curiously at Dessa.

"Alice you kept screaming about Lexi, and how you didn't want her to be taken away from you, but Lexi's fine, she was there singing to you, trying to calm you down" Nette said patting her friends shoulder softly. Alice was probably suffering from flashbacks of the night Lexi was attacked by a werewolf while they were camping.

Annette had gone to see Lexi a few days after. She had looked so beat up an full of meloncholy, not the normal spunky, active Lexi. She looked so crushed and defeated. Anni addressed the woman. I tried to stifle the blood a little. I knew that much blood coming from a nose bleed could not be good." She added in a whisper. "I honestly think she's suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, from her cousin's werewolf attack, and that was this summer." Annette went back to stroking Alice's hair and murmering words of moral support. "You're okay Alice, everything will be fine Alice, You're just ducky Alice." Hoping her words were true.

Flying class.  That didn't surprise Tulojow.  There were a handful of classes that could be counted upon to keep her position at Hogwarts an ongoing necessity: Flying, Defense and, on occasion, Potions and Transfiguration.  Between those and Quidditch, Tulojow had plenty of job security. 

Tulojow listened closely to Dessa's explanation as she continued to pinch Alice's nose firmly through the cold cloth.  Collision with a tree - it was certain to have been a painful experience but at least the nosebleed wasn't magical in origin.  It made treatment much simpler and straightforward.  And, pretty old-fashioned.  However, it also hinted at there being a potential for something more than just a bloody nose.  Most times when one slammed into a tree, their nose didn't completely cushion their impact.  A broken nose, at least, was a potential.  A concussion could very likely explain the girl's added confusion and altered awareness. 

Still holding the rag in place, Tulojow glanced from Alice to the other two girls when the two girls tried to insist that Alice had been speaking.  "So, you don't remember saying anything at all?" Tulojow asked, looking back towards Alice.  "Or, are you not sure what you said?"  She listened carefully to Annette, filtering through what was currently, medically relevant and filing the other information into the back of her mind to address once Alice was no longer seeing spots or seeping blood.

"Alright - well," Tulojow told Alice.  "We'll get everything fixed up and have you feeling like new in no time.  You should probably stay here this evening, though.  Just to be on the safe side."

Annette piped up. "Can we least visit her later?" Alice was hurt and Annette didn't like the fact of her being alone. Annette wan't sure she could stand the suspense of waiting for Alice all night. "What about the rest of her classes, It's our first day! Alice can go to those, right? She's only sleeping here?"

Annette spewed out questions like nobodies business, she wanted Alice's first day to be memorable, and so far.... there was blood, lots and lots of blood. Ducky
