Kirby Gracean had been looking forward to this day for most of the summer and finally it was here. She had been made president of one of the schools most well known and favourite clubs Orchestra and Choir. She had so much that every one would expect and she just knew she had what it took to be be able to run it.

She sat on her designated booth ready for the club day to begin. She had everything prepared. The sign up sheets and most of all she had the first meetings schedule and date prepared all she was awaiting was the go ahead from the webmaster. She sat eagerly smiling as she waited for her fellow singers and musicians to waltz into the Great Hall.
Rico had already strolled through most of the booths and had really only signed up for Hogwarts players, but he was looking for a club that really fit him. There was so much drama in Hogwarts players, and maybe there wouldn't be enough time for the music. He pushed past the older years and a few foreign school kids. Someone had told him there was an Orchestra and Choir club, he wanted to be first ti sign up.

A pretty blonde Gryffindor sat alone at the booth, waiting for takers. He strolled up to the front of the booth and looked at a schedule. He grunted in satisfaction, good times for fitting in Hogwarts Players and homework. Rico turned his face to the Gryffindor and smiled. "You guys play like, normal instruments? 'Cause I can play: Guitar (It was his favorite), flute, violin, piano, and the grass kazoo." He laughed at the thought of his playing a blade of grass in front of the entire school, it was different from when Alice had slammed into a tree during flying and he wanted to help her with Annette's musical remedy.

"Well I can sing to. What genres do you normally go to?" He looked around the booth, as if it had the answer to his question. "I can sing in English and Espaņol" He said with the click of his heels and the snapping of his fingers. "Olay"
Kirby eagerly waited for takers as she spotted the hall begin to slowly fill up with both familiar and unfamiliar faces from all schools present at her school. The other booths seemed to fill presently quick but it wouldn't down heart her in anyway being located at the far side of the hall was one of the reasons why.

She sat tracing her fingers over the table thinking of all the opportunities of showcases, shows and events they could be a part off like they way things were back home. She noticed a small brunette boy making his way over towards her and she smiled politely at him. "All wizarding and muggle instruments are accepted to the orchestra and the choir will be singing in all possible languages and will perform all genres." she eagerly answered the boys questions.
Rico listened eagerly, lapping up all the information this girl was giving him. "Sweet! Sign me up!" He said reaching over for the quill on the table and scribbled his signature neatly on the parchment. He pocketed the schedule and continued to ask more questions.

"Do you only accept Orchestra instruments like Violins, Violas, Cello, Bass, Guitar, and Mandolin? Because, as I said i can play 4 instruments and 2 of them are strings. Of course basic piano would be needed to lead. I could do that too. Oh, and I write my own Music and Lyrics.[1] Could we use any of those, I mean like original music?"

He realized he was rambling and the girl would have to keep up with his very fast way of speaking, hey, he was Spanish, he spoke fast, and to the point, except when it came to music.
 1. Good movie if you know what I mean
Kirby smiled at her first official member as he signed his name up on the sign up sheet happily. "Original music we can use in our showcases that i plan to be regular for the club. What types of music do you write? And all instruments no matter how bizarre or normal will be accepted." she replied curiously as she noticed the boy state he was a singer and song writer.
Great original music, he had gotten it down to a science. All instruments accepted. Sweet

"Well... I like to write more classic, upbeat Latin songs, but I have written some funny jingles, and a few decent love songs" He pulled the guitar on his back to the front, thinking of the song he had written for Annette. "I write lots of different stuff, but , most of them are a-work-in-progress. I'm working on some Reggae, Pop, Country, and some other kid stuff, I want to get an album out by the time I'm 20."
Kirby listened to Rico he truly was a passionate musician and very talented. She smiled as he named his ambitions to her. "Well you truly are talented Mr Posada." she told him looking at the name he had signed before. "I am Kirby. Kirby Gracean. Opera singer in training and president of the orchestra and choir" she then introduced herself kindly.
He accepted the praise from the Gryffindor. Her name was Kirby, very interesting, unique name. He liked her very much. "Wow, Opera, that's tough! What's your vocal range?" He said shaking her hand and looking at her face with utmost attention.
Kirby seemed to be getting along with the boy fairly well which pleased her greatly. When he asked her about her vocal range she could not hide the smile on her face. "It is very tough i have been studying at the Royal Oopera school for three years now i have a soprano voice that ranges from a bottom c to a top b." she announced proudly.
His jaw fell open. Bottom C to top B!? that was total insanity! "What? That's awesome! You studied at Royal, that's so cool!" This girl knew what he was doing, hopefully she heard him sing at the Hogwarts Players Booth so he didn't have to sing again. He didn't mind, of course, he was just a little tired of being put on the spot and having to sing I'm Gonna Be by the Proclaimers

Kirby could not help but chuckle slightly as she noticed the reaction of Rico when she told him her vocal range and place of study. "Yes i am still at Royal now. Two years to go. I will have to ask you to sing unfortunately when we run our first meeting but don't be down hearted its only so i can place you with the correct range" she announced hoping he would not mind everybody would have to do it sooner or later.

"Oh no! I love to sing! I have never really been placed in a range before... So I would have sing scales and stuff like that?" He wondered, he really had never been placed, he had always just sang to his hearts content. His voice was already matured and was quite deep. He still had a whiles way to go before his voice was done developing.

Kirby chuckled. She was slightly amused as he grew concerned about how he would be placed when really it was just a simple process to determined whether his voice was Tenor or bass. "You will just sing a song of your own choice that you feel comfortable with so i can place you in the correct section of bass or tenor." she answered encouraging.

Rico smiled. He was set. "Cool I'll start practicing. Thanks for the opportunity." He turned away and started singing scales loud enough fro her to still hear. "LA la LA la La la La LA!"

Kirby smiled really happy that her club seemed to mean something to others as well as herself. Who would have thought that music would affect so many lives. She heard him practising his scales as he skipped away happily. "A start " she grinned really happily.
