[Sep 13] Little Extra Guidance for a Were [Tappy] on February 11, 2012, 02:53:37 AM Sunday early afternoon. It was a Sunday afternoon at the beginning of the term, last thing Ollie wanted to be doing was climbing the stairs from the Hufflepuff den to Professor Trishna's office. Yet, here she was climbing with her bag filled with her text, parchment and a couple quills. There was also some food she had snagged from the lunch table, because well, a girl got hungry okay. Ollie would rather be running off with Sophie doing this or that, she had no plans and they went with the flow. Heck they might have attempted some studying? Nah, who was she kidding they probably would have had fabulous intentions but ended up doing something else. After all her hair was getting roots and they should use a potion on it soon. But no, she was not with her dearest BFF. She was stuck with the concept of tutoring. While others had been paired with fellow students, it was deemed her needs were meant for that of a teacher. How unfortunate? Nah really she probably would gain something from this. Finally she climbed the mountain of stairs before her, which probably wasn't as bad as getting to some of the other levels but still bothersome. She navigated her way to Professor Trishna's office adjusted the bag on her shoulder and knocked on his office door. She wondered just how long this would take and wondered if maybe she should ask him why she was with him rather than another student. Did she really want to know? What if it was something akin to the thought process of her being a danger? She hoped not. With paperclips for shrapnel. There was a marked improvement, though - crowded as it might be, the papers were in carefully organised stacks, some of which were even labelled. The office's couch even had more than one spot open on it - though as usual, the two that were available were busy being used to their fullest by his snoozing cat. Kepler was stretched out on his belly, fluffy grey tail switching as he dreamed about...well, whatever kneazles dreamed about. Tapendra was at his desk, and when the knock on the door came, it was nicely punctuated with a bang as he hopped up and hit his thighs on the desk's lip. A cut-off curse and hiss of pain later, he stumbled to the doorway, brushing off his trousers. "Miss Foley," he said, smiling and opening the door all the way for her. "Come on in. Don't mind the cat, just shove him aside." She looked at the surroundings of the office and shuffled in passed him. "I thought I would come in for that little extra help with class." Ollie was a tad embarrassed. She had done reasonably well in Astronomy in the past, and had even scored well on her OWLs considering her lack of school classes. Ollie though of course had tutors to help her get through the exam progress, which was a good thing. Ollie was nervous about the way Professor Trishna taught his lectures it was just not something she was familiar with. She walked in and pushed the cat aside a little and made her self a space. Looking down at the cat and smirked. "What's his or her name?" Ollie did love animals, even if some of them didn't really like her. She played with her necklace chain that Sophie had given her this summer. She had been so good to assure it was not Silver. Though as she sat there playing with the necklace she had it admit she was a tad nervous about how this whole tutoring with the Professor would go. He sat down heavily, stretching his legs out under the desk and smiling at Olivia. "His name's Kepler. He's not half as grumpy as he likes to make everyone think," he said, as the cat scooted a bit and opened one eye, giving Olivia an appraising stare before he curled up against her leg in a way that made it clear he intended to nap and didn't want to be bothered. Then he started to purr, long claws digging into the couch and his thick fluffy tail lashing against her arm."Just shove him if you don't want him there - he'll eventually get the idea," Tapendra said, though the sight made him smile even more warmly. He turned his gaze on Olivia, though - now wasn't the time to think cats were cute!"Now then - I saw your OWL scores and you did very well, so that's a great starting point," he said. "I'm sorry you weren't here last year, but what we should worry about now is getting you up to speed!" His enthusiastic tone was, at least in his head, undercut by what had made him do this himself - the person best suited to this job wouldn't take it because of Olivia's... condition. "Did you understand any of what we talked about in class last week, or the week before?" he asked, leaning forward with his hands cupped. "Just miss understood grumpy," she said with a smile as she patted the cat. "I get that." She gave a weak laugh, that was a bit of an understatement. She was classified as more than grumpy but a lot of people. Ollie just sat there not really bothered by the rhythmic tapping of his tail as it hit against her arm. She could focus more on Professor Trishna, after all that was why she was here. She need to hear what he had to say. It felt like she had missed so much just in the fact she had one year away, but that was just because he taught the subject in such a different way.Ollie nodded her head. It was true she had done decently on her OWLs despite her lack of chance to be at school. As harsh as it had been to be removed from the school in the manner she had, Snark had made sure her education would not completely suffer. She was capable of completing her education out of school but not to the same level as attending Hogwarts. Admittedly sometimes she thought there was little point to getting a top notch education, what sort of job opportunities were out there for the likes of her? Unfortunately not much. And as idealistic as she wanted to be about the movement of SAWS she didn't think it would open much job opportunity. But she need not think about that now."I am following the subject matter to a degree. Some of it moves a little quickly as it is a newer way of approaching the subject. Though I am not at a total loss." Ollie wasn't going to wave her hand and dismiss the fact she was struggling a little, as there was no point in drowning under a pile of homework and confusion when she didn't have too.
