Some where in suffolk.Kirby Gracean walked the familiar streets glad to be back home for the holidays. She had missed her over protective parents hovering and fussing over her but most of all she had missed her friends at the local theatre she thought fondly of. Well being brought up in the family of singers and musicians who could blame her. This year was some what different though not only was her meeting for the upcoming show just minutes away for her but she couldn't wait already to get started. This year the show was announced to be none other then the musical wicked. Which happened to be her favourite behind the classics such as Miss Siagon and Les Miserable. She ran picking up the pace ready to go inside she took an extremely long and deep breath trying to contain her excitement as she entered swaying her curly blonde locks behind her. She walked through the auditorium ready to take a seat and start. She had already decided she would audition for Elphaba which she hoped to get. Being magic was nothing new to her. Even though she had been in theatre and music since she was little, she was always very intimidated by meeting people she didn't know. But she knew that there would be people there she knew, and so she bolstered her courage and went to the theatre. She entered the theatre quietly, brushing a loose strand of hair back behind her ear. She saw a blond girl sitting in the front of the room, and felt a little bit of relief wash over her. "Kirby, I'm so glad you're here. I was afraid I wouldn't know anyone." Evelyn had done a few musicals with Kirby before, and although the two girls had very different personalities, they got along fairly well. She thought of how great the musical would be but before long the door opened steadily and in strolled a familiar face. Evelyn. Kirby smiled she knew her both in the muggle and wizardry world which made things alot more easy for her to deal with as she didn't have to be the only one keeping the biggest secret.Evelyn approached Kirby as she moved over slightly making room in the row for her to sit next to her. "Hey Evi, glad to be back?" she asked her happily she had somebody to talk to about real life. Well for her anyway and not be so well so much of a liar. This summer would be great not having to lie because she knew about the magic world and hogwarts. Although my parents thought I was ridiculous taking a portkey all the way here. But Belfast's theatre is just...Eh. " She spoke in a hushed tone, aware of the muggles that sat around her. But she felt sure that if anyone heard them, they'd just think the two girls were mental. And dressed in muggle clothes, Evelyn hardly looked conspicuous. She might had been any muggle girl. Being raised by a muggle mother, she could blend in far better than some of the other witches and wizards she knew. "Know what part you're auditioning for?" she asked, glancing at her score. She seemed to blend into her local places fairly easily which shocked her. She knew she wasn't muggle born like she was but she supposed having a muggle as a mother was as good. She seemed to be fairly comfortable surrounded by the muggles that were there. She looked down at her score as she was asked who she would be audition for in the show they would be involved in together. "Elphaba. You?" she replied hoping ahead that she would not be fighting for the role with probably the person whom she got along with the most. The person who understood differance . Glinda could be fun, I suppose, but I'm afraid I'm not talented enough to get the big of a role." She smiled slightly and set it aside. "It's not the big of a deal. I don't care about having a huge part." Evie enjoyed theatre, but she'd never been that serious about it. She just didn't have the passion nor patience to put up with everything that actors had to do to get good roles. She had always dreamed of performing a huge part on a big stage and now that she had the opportunity she would not let it go without a fight. "We can always practise together if you like i have been made the president of orchestra and choir so we could always use rehearsal time if you like" she stated curiously. As the youngest of three children, she'd never had much of the spotlight. When she was younger, this had bothered her immensly. But as she'd grown older, she'd become more humble and happier playing the less dramatic role. "I'd like that," Evie replied "Oh, did you decide to take over that? That's good, we need someone who's going to get the ball rolling." Skip to next post Re: No rest for the wicked (Closed to Evelyn) Reply #8 on February 12, 2012, 06:41:41 PM Kirby smirked happily. It had not quite sunk in entirely yet but she was so proud she had been chosen to run the club. "Sure have. I didn't think i would have been chosen but hey. Its not sunk in yet. You will have to come along" she smiled with her hands in the air in pure amazement. I would have applied, but I think I've stretched myself far enough...Astronomy club, and being a prefect, on top of NEWTs...That's plenty." Evelyn declared, shaking her head in amazement at herself. "Of course, of course,"she replied, to Kirby's insistence that she come along. She was just wishing others would be the same back at hogwarts once she returned. "Your final year isn't it? I am just glad to be able to help people live in music swell as being the perfect distraction from my Newts once i need a break" she admitted gleefully. Skip to next post
