Physical Description: Dark brown hair with touches of red in it, going down to her waist. Brown eyes, wears contacts. Short and rather curvy, which makes her self conscious. Has freckles on her face and arms. Has a scar on her hand.
When not in her school uniform she is typically in muggle jeans, or in leggings and a long shirt. When she is nervous or uncomfortable, she has the bad habit of pulling at skin on her neck, which causes red patches to often arise.
Personality Description: Evie is rather an enigma of a person. She tends to either be very talkative and self confident, or very quiet and withdrawn, especially in new or uncomfortable situations. When at home, in classes she loves, on her own or with close friends, she is talkative and exuberant. She is passionate about the things she loves and wants to share them with the people who matter to her. When she is around strangers or people she doesn't really like, she becomes more withdrawn and quiet. This is her way of keeping safe, of not letting someone hurt her. She is completely relaxed with her family, especially her mother and father. She is closer to her sister than her brother, but tries to appear mature to them.
As such, she often feels she has two warring sides to her, one lead by emotion, the other by logic. She really blossoms when she's doing something she knows about and loves. She loves music, and write songs in her spare time. She prefers to keep to herself, and only seeks very deep, true friendship. She's had casual friendships before, but most of these have dissolved quickly, and these type of friends are often unreliable and flighty . She is intelligent, but is not as good of a student as she could be if she applied herself more.
Hogwarts is a second home for her, but she loves her own home more. Home means no school, home cooked meals, ect. Her mother is a big fan of movies and so they will often go to muggle movies when Evie is home. As such, she has a wider knowledge of muggle culture than most witches and wizards. However she certainly does not wish to be a muggle. She loves her magic and does not think she could ever live without it.
History: Evie was born in Belfast to a muggle mother and wizard father. Her father is the black sheep in his family, coming from a family of Purebloods and Death Eaters alike. The Kelly family is a well known Pureblood family in Ireland, having been around since the Celtic ages. Despite their blood loyalties, they are Irish to their core and do not consider themselves part of England by any means. Evie's father broke family tradition by marrying a muggle, and as such severed all ties with his family. Evie has come across both close and distant relatives while at Hogwarts, and the experience has not been pleasant. At most she is met with polite tolerance, but is viewed in the eyes of many as a blood traitor, and told so to her face. She is related a little distantly to the former Deputy Headmaster, but she never brought up the subject. She struggles with the blood purity issue. She does not wish to be partial to anyone, but because of her estranged family, she often feels spiteful towards Purebloods. This had led to her ignoring most Purebloods at the school, although she is more generous towards Purebloods from Ravenclaw.
Unlike many witches and wizards, Evelyn attend primary school in Belfast, at the insistence of her mother. It was her mother's wish that should Evelyn go so far away from home to study magic, she should also stay close to home and study regular muggle studies as well.
Evelyn vastly preferred Hogwarts to muggle school, and at first Hogwarts seemed like a dream come true. But studies were rigorous and Evelyn sometimes longed to be back in Belfast. She loves History of Magic and Transfiguration, as well as Astronomy. She found Potions interesting, but found she was absolute rubbish at the subject. She never cared much for Quidditch and it is a rare occasion that she watches a game. She has done some theatre at the school as well as sung in the choir. You can also find her in the library a great deal, and don't put it past her to be in the Restricted Section as well.
As a 7th year, she is both nervous and excited about graduating. After 6 years in a boarding school, she is ready to get out of there and see more of the world. Her motto is: First London, then the world!...she never shares this motto with anyone.
Evelyn has an older sister and brother who have both finished school. They are 5 and 6 years older than her, so they have never been very close. She loves them dearly, but they've always been on different pages with life. Her sister, Amélie is working for Foreign Affairs in the Ministry of Magic, and her brother is a private potions distributor back in Belfast. Her brother, despite her father's beliefs, has begun to lean towards more Pureblood views, which is a cause of tension in the Kelly household. Evie aspires to follow in her sister's footsteps and obtain a job at the Ministry, in either International Cooperation or in the library. She has also considered teaching.

How Do You Fit Into Your House?: Evie is incredibly intelligent and perceptive, even if her grades don't necessarily show it. She looks at things logically, and even though she can show great compassion, she knows how to use her head.
Writing Sample: Sum up your character in one paragraph: Evelyn is a withdrawn, solitary person. She enjoys music, history and traveling. She was sorted into Ravenclaw when she arrived at Hogwarts, and she aspires to work at the Ministry upon graduation. She loves her family dearly and wouldn't trade them for the world. Her family history makes her prejudicial towards Purebloods.
