Physical Description: Jean-Claude is a big boy, just over six feet tall and still growing. He was solidly built even before he fills out but is light on his feet or on a pair of skates and had manage to translate that balance and dexterity onto a broom. He is frequently goes without shaving to make himself look older. At this point it looks a little cheesy but given a year or so it might actually give him a little devilish charm.
Personality Description: Generally quiet and withdrawn, Jean-Claude is reluctant to speak when there are large numbers of people around. Years of being told he's a liar and didn't see what he actually saw have taken their toll. His poor English often leads to confusion and misunderstanding, making him even less likely to speak up. In French, however, he can be difficult to shut up. Underneath it all burns a competitive spirit which drives him to try to be the best at everything he does. His current passions are quidditch, cooking and hockey. He would have preferred to attend Beauxbaton (and meet a few hot French chicks) but he understands that his family cannot afford to educate him overseas.
He likes traditional Quebecois music, cooking (although he'd never admit it), green pea soup, pancakes and maple syrup, quidditch, hockey, the Montreal Canadiens and fishing (a hobby he picked up from his maternal Grandfather, who also always seemed a little out of touch with the rest of the family).
He has little fear when it comes to aggressive play; he's taken larger players into the boards during hockey games and applies the same aggression to quidditch. He just needs to remember than when he throws his gloves down, he's not standing on the ground.
History: For his entire life, Jean-Claude has felt slightly out of step with his fellows. He just didn't fit in. All his life he's been told that he's a liar with an over active imagination. No one else ever saw the werewolf staring in his window during the full moon. No one believed him when the cupboard door opened and the cookie jar floated down to the floor. It wasn't until the owl arrived that his parents started to realize that their son was something other than a delinquent in training. It was hard on everyone. His sister took it the worst. She went from being the shining star of the family to being 'the wizard's brother'. She hates the downgrade and is determined to make Jean-Claude suffer for it.
His years at Pinewood taught him a great deal and his friendship with several of the instructors brought him out of his shell and showed him how to turn his passion for hockey into something he could use in quidditch. As in everything he does, he plays to win. He's learned to learn from his mistakes and rarely makes the same one twice. He's been playing professional quidditch almost since graduation and is on a list of up and comers to keep an eye on.
Sum up your character in one paragraph: Jean-Claude is a fish out of water when he is on the ground speaking English. On ice, in the air or in French, he is a different person, confident, determined and focused. He enjoys a hard hitting, competitive game but he leaves his animosity at the door. During a game he could be trying to drive an opposing chaser into the wall or the ground but one second after the final whistle he would be standing there offering an extended hand and either congratulations or condolences. He doesn't like losing, however and will try twice as hard to win the next time.
