Dear Mr. O'Doherty,

Hogwarts regrets to inform you that upon your return to Hogwarts, you will be barred from attending regular Herbology classes due to your wreckless behavior in last year's final. By intentionally disregarding instructions from Professor Blair, you put other students in danger, destroyed school property, disrupted class, and effectively nullified the final for all classmates. After being made aware that there was a previous incidence which demonstrated the danger of your actions (using a wand in Herbology after being instructed not to), Hogwarts has come to the conclusion that the results of your actions cannot be classified as "accidental".

While barred from standard class attendance, a tutor will be provided to aid in your continued education on the subject. Your re-entry into the regular Herbology classroom environment hinges upon your ability to demonstrate competency and respect toward Professor Blair and the class. This probation has no pre-determined length, and your suspension from class will end when Professor Blair or Headmaster deems it appropriate.
