"Its not poetry its sections from the bible." She explained. "You know the good book?" She looked at Blossom shocked he hadn't gotten her explanation.  Perhaps he was agnostic or maybe he was a heathen and was  atheistic.... You do believe in God right?

Blossom's face flared crimson.  "I've read it," he said, evasively, not mentioning exactly how long ago it had been.  "I just don't remember all the chapter names.  Why would he make you write out chapters of the Bible?  The whole thing is full of wizards.  Was he trying to teach you to control your magic?  It seems an odd way to punish somebody."

"No it was to show me that witchcraft and magic are bad and such things are evil and corruptful." She explained. "Maybe if you want sometime I can lend you copy if you promise to take care of it. It used to be my moms. She gave it to me as a keepsake for Christmas two years ago. It is quite pretty and in good condition. You might find it a dry read but sometime if you wanted to talk or ask questions I would be more than happy to answer what I can."

Blossom wasn't sure how he was supposed to ask when the girl offered to loan him a book.  At home he'd had access to an entire library of books and had learned early on to take care of books.  He considered it an honour to be offered the book.

"I promise to take care of it," he said.  "I'll get it back to you as soon as I finish reading it.  I'm not sure how long that will take though.  There is going to be a lot of reading once we reach the school."

"Well how how about later in the week if you still wish to borrow it and you have sometime you can hunt me down at your leisure and I can let you borrow it for a few days at a time?" She offered.
