 Nicholas stands a tall five foot six and, at least according to the muggle doctors his mother took him to, that is as tall as he is ever going to be.  He is lean with a fair bit of muscle, mostly from dancing and swimming for fun.  His hair is a light brown color and occasionally he does have blond highlights.

Fair skin and  blue eyes, he has a stare that can see right through you, though his eyes are more often sparkling with laughter.  Being small for a guy, he tends to hold himself tall and tries to make himself appear larger than he actually is.  He is usually found with a smile on his face as he tries not to take things too seriously.  Out of uniform, he is generally in nice a nice t-shirt, jeans, and a jacket.




Nicholas doesn't take much in life seriously, especially not school, but that's because his favorite classes were the ones that came easy to him.  The others he knew he could drop after O.W.L.s so he didn't stress over them.  He is quick to jump to the defense of anyone being bullied, and will often escalate the issue to the point of a fight.  He isn't afraid of breaking the rules or causing a scene when it suits him.

He is very sensitive about his height, and it is one of the few things that can set him off without warning.   He prefers guys over girls but is always up for a bit of fun with anyone, so long as its just a bit of fun and nothing more, He is careful not to leave hurt feelings behind him because he saw that his mother has never truly been happy with the string of boyfriends she has had since he was little. He finds written work to be incredibly boring and often puts it off as long as he can, though he practices the practical portions obsessively.  He loves to sling spells, even if it is just at walls in an empty room, or transfiguring endless small objects into random things.


Nicholas knows nothing of his father other than the very little information that his mother gave him.  He was a businessman from the United States and when his mother became pregnant his father left her and went back to America.  Nicholas is of the opinion that his father was married and rich and powerful, given that a check from some lawyer arrives every month that allows him and his mother an easy life and a nice place to live in London.

Nicholas knew he was different at an early age.  Strange things would happen around him and especially when someone would pick on him and he would fight back.  He was always shorter than other boys his age and anytime they started to pick on him about it they ended up down on their knees looking up at him before the fight ever started.  His primary school teachers often wrote home to his mother that he was either not serious enough about school or that he was quick to get into fights, never realizing that Nicholas never truly started the fight.  The fights were always in reaction to being picked on or someone else being picked on.

When the wizard showed up in the summer after he turned eleven to tell him that he was a wizard, he was quick to accept the fact while his mother was sure it was some type of prank or attempt to send her son to a school for difficult children.  Upon arriving at the school, he was sorted into Gryffindor, the hat commenting that he was “Quick to stand up for a stranger, and event quicker to stand up for a friend.”  Not knowing anything about the houses, or Hogwarts even, this comment didn’t make any sense to him until much later.  Nicholas quickly became known for getting involved in fights that didn’t concern him and for firing tripping jinxes at anyone who called him short until they apologized and rarely getting caught by professors.

He does well enough in school, always quick to put off homework for something more entertaining.  He quickly took to the classes that involved the actual casting of spells.  Showing a talent for Charms, Transfiguration, and Defense that allowed him to do well without ever trying all that hard, preferring to spend his free time dancing, swimming, or flying for fun.  He ended up doing well on some of his O.W.L.s, doing much better on the practical portions of the exams.




 Nicholas was chosen for Gryffindor because he is not one to stand by and stay silent when someone is hurting someone else.  And his nerve and refusal to back down then tends to get him into fights that he shouldn't be able to win if it wasn't for the fact that once the adrenaline is pumping he is fearless to the point of stupidity.  Nicholas is a short, handsome, carefree Gryffindor who is quick to put himself in front of those who are out to physically or emotionally hurt someone.  He loves to swim, dance, and fly, but only cracks open a book when he must, and can often be found outside or in an empty classroom casting spells for the fun of it.

Nicholas has spent a summer doing an internship with the Obliviators and spent three and a half months going through the rest of the obliviator training.

Describe your new job and how you go about doing it:
He uses memory charms to modify and erase memories of muggles exposed to magic and otherwise ensure that the wizarding word is not discovered by muggles.  Nicholas thinks that he has a particular aptitude in giving muggles good memories rather than mundane ones.

Character History 2013 - 2017:
Nicholas has enjoyed success as an obliviator.  After a few random assignments early on in his career and a talent for dealing with muggles, he is now often assigned to work with other offices and departments for larger events and operations in case muggles get involved.  He is on track to becoming a young senior obliviator, though he is still years away from that.

He continues to live with Virgil and Ariadne, and has had a few semi-serious months-long relationships.
