The warbling of Celtic over the wireless was heard as the wizard woke slowly to this and the gorgeous woman kissing him. How ever he was given this brief chance with Elixa, Rufus was not at all certain but he wasn't going to discourage the notion. Hi chocolaty eyes soon were seen as he looked to her, smiling at him. "Didn't mean to? I find that quite hard to believe that, my dear. Thi said, are you so keen for another round or do we want brunch first? Because if you haven't had Rover's Irish Breakfast, you're missing out on it." A smarmy grin stayed on his face, leaning towards Elixa, planting a deep kiss and left it there for a few moments before pulling away.
"As for that breakfast, there's two interpretations to how you may take that matter, Miss Mordent. However, I'll just let you have all fun determining whether you want one or both of them, " he replied, smirking in amusement. Grabbing for his wand, Rufus flicked it at the wireless, changing it to a station from Dublin that favoured in playing Irish rock. Putting the trusty sidekick back on the nightstand, his eyes returned back to Elixa, smiling. "I may say it a million times more, but Miss Mordent, you are absolutely a wild Irish rose. Fair and worn, yet unturned by the tide. Thank you your patronage to not only Rover's, but this man's room." And with that said, Rufus leaned in, kissing Elixa happily.

Rover's Fancy / [Jul 18] Plummy and Slam!January 05, 2015, 06:08:53 PM The ceilidh was finishing up its warm up and beginning to start its first number, the enchantments to keep the[2]entreeswarm and cozy were in place as Pádraig[3] handed to Kieran[4] the list[5] of who was and who was not invited for the shindig. The owner, the man of the hour himself was running the final bits of styling gel into his hair, grinning in the mirror about the situation that was about to go on down below in the pub. The winter and spring months had proven rather well for the bank and for Rover's. There had been some concern whether or not the small franchise, if it could be called that Rufus surmised, could afford a third location in Hogsmeade. All that worry had eased and discussions were still being met, but for now, Rover's and Pigs were banking on good fortunes. And it was for good fortunes that Rufus had decided to give a manner of 'thanks!' back to the wizard community in Diagon. Invitations had been sent, especially for a handful he hadn't seen in a while, menu items had been narrowed down and now, it was time to get downstairs and meet and greet. "Smellin' like a Salty Dog, back from Hell where you belong!" he sang jovially as he left the office/apartment moved down the stairwell, looking to see if there were any early birds. "Ey, 'Raig! Any sights for company?" Rufus called out, the grin never once leaving his features. Pádraig shook his head in a 'no' stance, causing Rufus to wonder if the owls had gone amiss. Looking to the clock as it chimed noon, Rufus looked once more to the door. Surely, no one had forgotten, had they? When you enter, go ahead and tag yourself in! :3 FIRST REPLY IS OWED TO SLY THOUGH?

Rover's Fancy / Re: [May 14] Beer Goggles [OPEN]July 22, 2014, 03:35:16 PM Snapping his fingers, a pad and quill came their way and Rufus relayed the orders from James in addition to a couple orders of pub appetizers in an instant, zooming it back towards the kitchen so he could refocus on the game's questions shot between the group. "Ah, Forrest...if'n I did come back, ye'd have to pay handsomely. I do miss the thrill of the game, no doubts there, but pub business pays very well indeed," he assured, patting the man's shoulder gently and smiled with a nod. "I'm always welcome to come an' fly with you all, eh?" Now, back to the game as it seemed two questions were ongoing. The sharky grin that left his left to both of them left Rufus quite amused. Raising the shot glass post the first pour, he down the liquid courage, clearing his throat briefly. Good stuff, this.
"Oh, I read it once or twice when I was in my seventh year. As for the lift in more ways than one (Rufus nudged at Elixa, intentionally trying to illicit a squeak, blush, or anything really - after all, she seemed the type to jest well with aside Margo) if ye'll permit it, nay. I'm out on that one." The man put a finger to his lips, trying to contemplate an inquiry but was completely all right for someone else to reveal their own. 19
Rover's Fancy / Re: [May 14] Beer Goggles [OPEN]July 06, 2014, 03:58:10 PM "Which Witch or even Never Have I Ever in my pub? Oh, you sly devils; I ought to charge you triple for playing," Rufus chirped in amusement as he entered the scenario unfolding inside of Rover's Fancy. Lowering another bottle each of firewhiskey and Ogden's onto their table, Rufus took a seat next to Elixa. "Good to see you, Forrester, Mordent, Amherst. Welcome to Rover's Fancy, the rest of you, including you, Miss Di Luca." His smile was genuine, grinning at the sight that a few of them were becoming.
"What's happening for all of us this very fine evening? Anything else I can interest you in? Any appetizers or full meals? You seem to be quite at home, hm?" Rufus urged them on, trying to interest them into something more than just the liquor. Mind you, the liquor was going to be a seller, no doubt, what with the drinks pouring quickly enough. "In the meantime, care if I join you in the game, comrades?" 20
Rover's Fancy / Rover's Fancy - The BasicsNovember 08, 2012, 07:24:05 PM ![]() ![]() "Opened in May 2007, Rover's Fancy has been a mainstay in the public's eyes of the wizarding folk in London, England. Only mere steps from the Leaky Cauldron, Rover's Fancy has been first and foremost a place for all magical folk to come and enjoy a pint or two. Aside the well poured drinks, traditional Irish fare have been given modern twists: Bangers with colcannon mixed with smoky bacon, shepherd's pie with curry mash on top, even the fish and chips with a spicy sambal yoghurt dipping sauce are only just a few to name. The owners, Rufus Delacroix and Pádraig Cormac, are shining examples of what people have come to expect when thinking of Irish hospitality. March 2008 found the arrival of Pigs Can't Fly in Muggle London. Both are doing well and exceeding expectations all around. Give either a try and you'll swear you're there in Dublin town in no time." -Daily Prophet Review, June 2009 21
Rover's Fancy / Re: [Nov. 23] The Runes of Dead Loves, The Runes of Dead MemoriesNovember 04, 2012, 11:19:38 PM "...Experimental beverages, sir? What kinds did you have in mind, precisely," Rufus responded, his eyes' expression quite interested by the development while listening to Kronos' laughter. It had a tonality to it that was one part that made you feel warm and cuddly. Then there was the other three parts of curiousity, caution and careful concern. He didn't feel too threatened by Kronos, but Rufus was at the ready as well.
One had to be in a business like this, right? Right. "I can't say I blame you in wanting to protect what businesses and partnerships you may have formed. I've had to go and watch who we do business with, here in Diagon and likewise in London. We cut someone within a few months of opening Rover's; there's bitterness, but they know if they tamper, we're going to court." The flawless face crinkled in remembrance before returning back to its normal expression of a relaxed smile. "I would very much hope that we'd never get to that, aye?" 22
Rover's Fancy / Re: [Nov. 23] The Runes of Dead Loves, The Runes of Dead MemoriesNovember 02, 2012, 09:05:18 AM Ru sized up the man, right down to the orange fingernails, when Kronos gave his name away. Hushed whispers of this man were heard perhaps once or twice, but at his pubs, Rufus instilled the notion that everyone was their own person until they made an arse out of themselves. Or if the Ministry came a-knockin'. Luckily, no run-in's had occurred so Rovers and Pigs' reputation were intact and in good standing. "Seems you know more about me than I know about you, Mr. Kronos. No harm in that, trust me," Rufus remarked as he put on the role of bartender briefly while grabbing two well crafted glass goblets along with Elven brandy.
Placing the three items on the table, Rufus offered a seat to the gentleman in one of the leather crafted sectional before taking a spot himself, which was followed by casting the muffling charm. "You mentioned business. What were having in mind, exactly? Distribution, trade? I have a few vineyards in Italy that work with me for the wines and two alehouses in Austria. Depending on what you're interested in, Mr. Kronos, I'm fairly certain I can try to work with you on the matter." With that, Rufus opened the brandy and poured equal amounts into each of the goblets while nerves racked him inwardly even as his lips and teeth gave their dynamic smile. 23
Rover's Fancy / Re: [Nov. 23] The Runes of Dead Loves, The Runes of Dead MemoriesNovember 01, 2012, 09:02:24 AM The barkeep grinned peckishly, nodding that he understood the inquiry. "Be right back, boss man. I'll go grab 'im." Another one on the opposite side took over, keeping watch over the place, giving a smirk towards Kronos' attire. Needless to say, it was an eyecatcher.
"Pag? You got a visitor, mate. He looks rather....interesting. Says it's personal business. Where you want 'im?" Rufus looked up from his chair in his office, glasses over the chocolate eyes and a breadwinner's smile evident. "I'll meet him 'round private room three. Send the gent there, yeah? Go now." The barkeep rushed back downstairs as Rufus readjusted his outfit, heading down the other side of steps and to the private room, ensuring it was properly stocked. "Eyoh, boss man? If you would, please follow me. Pag said for me to lead the way." He began walking, entrusting Kronos to keep the pace until they arrived to the room. Knocking twice, the barkeep opened the door and left Kronos alone with Rufus. Foolish boy, but how was he to know this was indeed the dangerous man the Ministry was looking for? "Thanks, Lou!" Rufus gave a holler to before giving full undivided attention to Kronos. "Hullo, I'm Rufus, but of course, I think you may have already known that. Do come in. I've a stocked bar and if you're feelin' a bit hungry, I'll let the staff in the kitchen whisk you something up, aye?" His smile hadn't faltered; in fact, it was bigger than before in seeing Kro's attire. It was every bit interesting like Louis had mentioned. Reminded him of a few paintings of his father's family, namely his father's own father. Inwardly, Rufus snorted in thinking about such things. Outwardly, he was still grinning. Cheeky boy. 24
Rover's Fancy / [Rover's Fancy; Tag: Rascal] In the new old-fashioned way!October 09, 2012, 04:06:55 PM 6 December 2009 ...And a real famous cat All dressed up in red! Mm, the winter holidays. How Rufus loved it. Every good memory that he could recollect involved this season. The sounds and scents were far better than any other. The music, the food, the warmth of another body and even laughter were truly more comforting this time of year. His mother's voice was particularly beautiful as she sang sacred and secular tunes. The times with Ro, Anya, and Viola.... Rufus could almost taste the mulled cider on his tongue. "...OY. PAGANELL. EY-O!? HEY!" Rufus snapped back to his staff, Paddy snickering off beside him. "As ye were sayin', boss man?" Paddy inquired, smirking after bringing Rufus back to reality. "I...yeah. Sorry. As I was saying, this is the Christmas season - Pigs and Rovers needs to do its part. Make the place look old school - the holly, ivy, even mistletoe. Because remember our most crummy bum likes to recall his childhood memories too." Rufus clapped hands together, grinning. "So be even thinking about dishes and taps we can serve. Rest assured, we've got winter ciders and ales. Now, let's get it together, aye? Jay, open shop, an' we'll meet up again early next Sunday for discussions. Dismissed." Everyone dispersed to prepare for the workday, including the owner. "...'ve seen ye happy b'fore, Pags, but ye really are lit up like a candle. Ye sure everythin's going well?" Paddy asked, prepared to head back to Muggle London soon enough with his bunch. "Yes, it's just this time of year, Pad. Some of us like it better than others, right? Make sure your boys start thinking up dishes; they had some really good fall ones." Paddy nodded and was now ushering himself out as the wintry air filled inside the pub. Ah, Christmas. 25
Rover's Fancy / Re: [April 18] ...Betrayed by the Black Velvet BandJuly 06, 2011, 06:37:03 PM "Stuffy women? Here at Rover's Fancy? Only happens when they're tired of dealing with their employeers, Ministry, Quidditch and all. Same goes for stuffy men, I'm afraid," he said in response to that statement, his grin all jackal'd like once more as Rufus looked on at Naila.
"However that may be, I could offer you that nice retreat from the noise, let you try some of my meals and drinks on the house, querida...your decision is my wish and command." Lewis grunted, asking when would he get an opportunity to get a free meal; Rufus grinned devilishly. "When you act like a good little boy and not a drunkard." Lewis spat off a stream of curse words that ended with calling Rufus a smartass. Rufus kept his gaze towards Naila. "What say you? I'll lead the way," he said, soon departing with another refilled Irish coffee in his hands as he began to walk off towards the private lounge in the pub. Whether the lady wished to follow, that was now her choice. 26
Rover's Fancy / Re: [April 18] ...Betrayed by the Black Velvet BandMay 31, 2011, 11:07:57 PM Rufus and his hand were going for his beverage when a well slicked feminine voice and their equally matched hand snatched his beverage. His chocolate eyes met her blue ones, his lips smirking as he surveyed the oaf on the floor as well as Naila's choice in clothing. "Aye, maybe...what's it to you, querida? It seems you are quite enjoying my wake up call," he responded in his heavy Spanish tones, silky enough for someone to slip on.
"Nice choice in clothing, by the way, but this is an Irish pub - if you wanted to impress us, St. Paddy's was last month & Spellpunk is down the road, oui? Now, might I have my drink back and maybe I could interest you in a more private setting, one where you won't have to worry about Brother Lewis (the man grunted) looking up you?" Sure, Rufus was being slightly jerkish but hey, surely Naila could play back? If not, he would apologize and be courteous. It was the very least he could do, right? 27
Rover's Fancy / [April 18] ...Betrayed by the Black Velvet BandMay 30, 2011, 12:24:21 AM Rufus looked groggily up at the clock on the wall inside his office - five thirty in the evening. This day had already been more than busy than what he had anticipated. Paddy had contacted him numerous timesthroughout the day - it was mainly inquiries on the Man U game & if it was gonna be on when they played against Portsmouth as well as if the mead was in yet. Rufus assured his co-owner a final yes before taking a nap, the very nap he was waking up from.
He stood up, looking at his outfit, soon going to brush his teeth and straightening out the wrinkles on his clothes. Within minutes, Rufus was heading downstairs after locking the office up & dropping by the bar area. "Irish coffee, extra shot of coffee & liquid courage," Rufus chirped, a grin on his face as he slowly began talking to his wizarding patrons. Unbeknownst to him and the generally heavy male populace, the occasional lady was about to grace Rover's Fancy this very evening. 28
