Alex watched the girl, a half bemused smile on herself as she heard the girl offer so openly to assault the unknown father as was needed, it was funny and she somewhat loved the fact the girl was so free to make those comments at this stage, it was hilarious and she just enjoyed the company of this younger girl for now and her optimism she could do such a thing.

But the topic of brooms made her frown a little, she understood the girls point but at the same time, she would struggle, or atleast she thought so anyway, she gave a gentle nod as she rested back with a sigh, both hands idly rubbing her belly with a slight sigh of pain from the feeling of her poor abused belly and the mean baby that was currently stealing the place of her bladder and food.

"Hhhm, perhaps I might have a broom you could borrow? Until you've managed to save up for a proper one of course." She said with a gentle smile, or as gentle as she could to the girl given the soreness she was trying to rub out at the moment. "I have quite a few, I don't need all of them after all. We'd just need to get to my flat."

She gave a grunt as she sat herself upright with a groan, it was uncomfortable and difficult to do so, but she was determined to stand up again, she had her rest and she wanted to try to get the other girl that broom, plus if she can manage a hot meal as she had a slight concern the girl wasn't eating properly. "Oh yeah, the father." She said with a sigh, the student had brought it up after all.

"Your guess is as good as mine, I was drunk, there were five of us, and it was christmas." She said as the best explanation she could likely give to someone under eighteen.

"Okay maybe not like her, but its still far too much." She tried to joke with the girl as she sighed, her hands continuing to rub her belly as if she was making sure it wasn't just suddenly disappearing on her, with a poof it'll just disappear leaving her free to play Quidditch again, but she knew she didn't want that now, she had come this far, the least she was going to do was birth this hellspawn and care for it.

Mairead was looking proud of her haul so far, she was happy to hear it, she was doing far better then Alex could with busking, although that required her to know any instruments in the first place. The worry was still there however as she turned red at the question of her parents, she got more worried at that, it made sense after all that perhaps they didn't money to buy a new broom for her so she'd have to busk for the extra money, she was just worried for the girl, the red faced reaction didn't help.

"What sort of broom are you looking at? Most are quite expensive, good ones especially even second hand and with only a twig left in the back still go for quite a price, even if trading." They had reached an obviously preferred topic of the two, of course Alex would be into Brooms as a player, and Mairead was a fan looking to make it big, it was good mutual ground.

"I've been eyeing up a classic Nimbus 2001, more for personal rather then playing given its age now." She gave an annoyed grunt as she pulled herself up a bit on the seat. "Although with this, I suppose might better to get something more family friendly, I swear if they don't like Quidditch." She could cope with a Squib, after all she'd still train them to be a Quidditch pro, but if they didn't like the sport there was going to be hell to pay.

Alex rested her head back with a groan at the first point, it wasn't her fault of course, but the idea of...popping was unnerving to her, she wasn't looking for the day, dreading, although it would be nice to get drunk again afterwards, but by her estimates she still had a month to go, provided nothing went wrong, she closed her eyes and took a breath before sighing.

"Please don't say the word pop, I already feel like I'm going to explode, do you know how many times I have to get up to pee an hour now? Its far too much, not to mention the stretching, when I get back to Quidditch I'm going to have a fleshy parachute from my stomach." She pulled her head up gently as her hands idly stroked her belly, it was sore but manageable for now, as she did so a small smile spread across her lips.

"Oh I think hiding it is long gone by now, especially after that article a few months ago." She slowly took her eyes off of herself to look at Mairead, busking was an interesting choice, she'd known kids to do weirder for money, she personally did carwashes back home to get money for stuff she wanted as a child, she supposed busking was good for practicing music also.

"Made much today?" She asked as she looked her more over, she got a hint of worry at the state of her, busking was something she knew those without homes would do often, and a part inside her was deeply worried about the state of the girl, she hoped it wasn't early motherly instincts, she didn't want baby brain to take over that badly.

"You and your parents living well together? Or just hoping for extra pocket money?" She asked without wanting to outright ask if she was on the streets, although she was too forwards still.

Tessa, that was her name, so it was like...Electric Fox? If Tessa meant Electric like Tesla, either way she knew the name and would do her best to keep it in her mind, for now the main worry was the movement inside her, she hated it and wished it would stop.

Softly she nodded at her, it was kind of her to offer help, or atleast to sit down, but Alex took it as an offer of help, so she took advantage by putting a hand on her shoulder and leaning onto her, she made sure not to put too much pressure or weight onto the girl, she didn't want to drag her down due to how big she had gotten in recent months, her eyes closed as she gave yet another groan and let out a sharp hiss.

"Y-yeah...I could do with a sit down, I...I think there's a cafe nearby." Her voice was quieter then she meant for it to be but she didn't have much of a choice, a soft whimper escaped as her other arm gripped onto the shopping trolley to help her move with it.

"H-how have you been since school? You seem rather tired, you're not pregnant also are you? That'd make the school reunion more awkward, people might say you copied me after all." She tried to joke with a faint smile as she took a few steps carefully to get moving, it wouldn't be quick to get there, but it isn't a long distance, she just hoped it didn't get too awkward.

Alex Cooper, the often masochistic heroine of the Chudley Cannons, she's been a whole magnet for controversy, like the muggle wrestling she is often given as a role model but do we ever want our role models to be self harming witches flying through the air and jumping infront of Bludgers? If anything this recent news on her state has been enough to seal the deal on why she is still on the team, even despite her sudden break.

Well my readers. It is now confirmed she is pregnant, as she has been sported with a baby bump as she was shopping, not only that but by our reports, she at this point is around 29 weeks. (About 6 months for our male readers) And that it was at a Christmas party for her team!

This just confirms that she is sleeping with players to keep herself on the team, as there was no way she was capable of staying on the team with her own reckless abandon. So now it comes down to the who most likely candidates for her baby daddy is.

Dear Reader. From the list of candidates I have the most realistic options here, narrowed down to 2.

First you have Flash Lockhart, the eccentric and beloved head of the Department of Magical Games and Sport. As he is known to be a Quidditch fan (Who wouldn't be? Especially with the current league the way it is!) However I feel he is too sensible to be corrupted by the harlot.

The one who I personally view is the culprit, is Johnathon Fireheart, the beloved team Captain and fellow Beater of Alex Cooper, who should henceforth be known as the Team "Meat" Beater. I'm sure you've all seen the looks between the two as they play, and who else has enough sway to not only keep her as the primary Beater, but also to keep her on the team despite her pregnancy.

The woman made it look so easy to grab the crisps, admittedly she had to jump still but even then it was over in a few seconds whereas for Alex it was taking...practically forever to do so and was causing pain to herself, her feet were barely allowing her to walk right now let alone jump, she wasn't even sure she was able to jump or if she was too heavy, it wasn't something she had any interest in finding out either.

She took the bag and put it in her trolley slowly as the girl started to recognize her, she braced herself for it, she struggled to go about Diagon without atleast a couple of people coming up to talk to her about her Quidditch career now, it didn't help that there was that slanderous magazine that tried to make up random gossip, Quidditch Facts Weekly she believed it was called, and it just went off as soon as she couldn't hide her baby bump coming up with all sort of rumours. Theorizing from the baby was some weirdo who ran the Tetra Wizard Tournemant. To the most damaging being with her team captain, the other Beater she played with, commenting that her own style was so reckless there was no way for her to stay on the team without screwing someone.

But luckily it was just from Hogwarts, which was a breath of fresh air at the very least.

"Oh...uh. Yeah, just call me Alex...You're..." She tried recalling the names of other students, she somewhat reminded her of someone. "Fox right? Or fox something?" She sounded half distant as she tried recalling who she was. "Am I getting close?" She asked as she looked back over the blond, she swore there was something to do with foxes as far as she could remember.

Then with a groan she leaned herself against the shelf, it wasn't the most stable but if kids could climb it then it was surely safe to lean herself against for a few moments, her hands started to idly rub over her belly as she closed her eyes. "S-sorry...just got to catch my breath real quick...they've not liked me going out today very much." Or any day recently she'd found.

At first she flinched from the shouting, was she being told off? Had she done something wrong? She was pretty sure she hadn't done anything wrong, how could she just from shopping? Or was it some weird law about pregnancy that no one ever talked about? It was just expected for you to know despite no one really talking about it, like taxes or insurance sort of thing?

She yelped in shock and stumbled a step back before catching herself with a panicked look over her face, a hand was lightly placed over her chest as she caught her breath, although it quickly turned into the woman offering to help her, the woman was looking somewhat red from it but maybe she was a witch? And just recognized her? As much as she hated it some pictures had been taken of her in her pregnant state and made it into gossip and quidditch magazines for a couple of days before they lost interest as the news always did.

"U-uh...right...yeah..." She slowly calmed herself as she gripped her own trolley for support. "I-i can reach it, I'm just struggling to do so.." She tried to recover some of her dignity, she wasn't going to let herself look all weak and helpless infront of the other woman, she didn't like the idea of just being some helpless pregnant woman.

"Its just...difficult to reach right now. I can't stretch properly." She hmphed. "B-but yes...please...the prawn cocktail at the top..." She sighed in defeat as she asked the stranger for help with reaching her snacks.

It was early in the afternoon, as much as Alex did not want to go outside and go shopping, the fact she had very little in the way of food left was what made her decide maybe she should go shopping, she had run out of most things and by now all she really had was bread and butter, she couldn't live off of that, she needed more to eat, and right now she needed so much chocolate to keep herself going.

She was sore, and tired, and she was pretty sure others were judging her, they had to be right? 34 week pregnant woman, in sweat pants and a large baggy blue shirt twice her size to cover her belly, followed by a red and black plaid shirt tied up around her upper half but not her belly, her hair was a mess and she didn't even bother to try to make herself look nice, she just wanted food, once she had food, she would return to her dark room and curl up to watch TV as she snacks, it is the best life.

She pushed her trolley slowly as she glanced the shelves, she hated the big muggle supermarkets, they were busy, noisy, not to mention they just had like...so much stuff, she did not want half of this stuff, why couldn't there just be a shop for what she wanted? Not all this other junk, who really bought Marmite? Who needed burger sauce? What even was half of these spices for?

The fact they had so much stuff made it so she couldn't get what she wanted! Why did the best flavours of crisps have to be on the top shelf? It was impossible to reach for her and it wasn't helped by the fact her stomach kept lightly bumping on the shelf so she couldn't even get on her tip toes, not that she could really lift herself up anyway.

"Reach...damn it..." She grunted as she hugged her belly with her right arm and reached with her left.

Alex was searching for a seat, most who hear she is a professional sports player might assume she is used to running around and being on her feet all day, very few imagine she's a sports player who doesn't really use her feet, she wasn't even that unhealthy and did enough exercise on her feet so they shouldn't hurt that much, however that changed recently due to the weight added due to having an entire little human attached to her stomach.

Her feet were killing her as she wandered through the city, she had plans of going shopping but honestly she's been out for an hour and she's already had enough, from her feet hurting, her awkward somewhat waddling like movement, the tightness of her shirt that no matter what she wore it always felt oddly tight, to just the fact she felt like she constantly needed to go to the bathroom. She wasn't fond either of the clothing she was having to wear to feel comfortable, loose shoes, stretchy sweat pants and a stretchy shirt, she hated the look but anything else just felt uncomfortable to wear.

She finally found a bench to sit down on in a small park area, lots of green and some nice trees, she groaned as she saw people on it but almost if seeing her stop walking towards it, they made space and moved away for her, as much as she hated being pregnant, the fact others made space and treated her more gently was oddly nice, if not condescending.

It took her a moment after sitting down to notice the music nearby, glancing for the source her eyes went wide as near the bench was a girl she recognized, she waved towards her awkwardly.

"Mairead? Is that you?" She then tapepd the bench next to her as if offering to sit.

"Ah, so craving blood of the innocent, must be a boy then." She replied with a soft smirk at the idea of sweets being for a girl, she didn't think the girl infront of her believed it at all either, it wasn't founded in much, although at the same time, her mother had actually had a child, so who knew if it was accurate or not in the end?

"I've not really had...well....Some." She confessed weakly, not wanting to really talk about it, it felt somewhat weird and personal, but at the same time she had fully confessed about her pregnancy and were discussing the...bats and the hoops of it all. "I've had some..." She muttered.

She took another sip of her drink softly before she continued with. "It has mostly been with apples and bacon in sandwiches." Her face turned a slight red as she admitted to it.

Alex was ultimately unsure about if she was lying or not when it came to her parents, she didn't have a reason to doubt the girl, she had been helpful so far, but at the same time, the girl seemed....familiar, perhaps Alex was taking a liking as she seemed similar to a younger version of herself, or it was the hormones making her care for the brat that had scared off the awkward girls.

But the fact her parents seemed so fine, with her leaving after her first exams to join a game she might not go pro at, seemed dubious to herself. But for now she would take the girls  word for it all.

"If they're fine with it, and if not, well I got a spare bedroom for awhile and could be good to have a nanny on site." She teased her as she sipped once more at her tea, winking at her to show she was just playing around with the offer, that was far much of a leap for some random girl she happened to meet at a cafe.

She nodded, Greyfriar was Headmaster, she'd have to try to get a message to him although she didn't believe that telling him those things was the best idea to get herself to see the match, she'd have to come up with a better way to word things in the end at the time.

"Perhaps, I think maybe saying that you are considering leaving Hogwarts in the first place, and that this would provide a career opportunity if you did so, might be better." She said with a small smile at the amusing idea of it all. "Besides, I think your parents are going to be ones you have to convince more then the Headmaster, after all they get ultimate say, I got taken out of school for a month cause my father was worried I would die when I first played Quidditch."

She gave a rather satisfied sigh with herself. "Of course we won the match a week before I told my dad I was on the team, he never found out."

Again however, Alex couldn't help but laugh at the terms used by Mairead to describe the pregnancy, even if she was playing coy, it just couldn't stop her from bursting into a giggle, she somewhat hated the fact she was bursting into laughter, her brothers would easily pick on her for it, however she hoped it was just the hormones.

"Please don't put the imagery of a beaters bat in me, or any part of me or inside me being a keeps hoop. Especially knowing about childbirth." She said in a slightly calmer tone as she looked down. "And no, I don't know, its a little bit too early for that with muggle stuff." Her hand idly rubbed at her belly as she spoke.

At first she just snorted at the terminology used by the other girl, before it quickly broke out into a full on laugh as she continued on with it, she hadn't heard anyone use quidditch terminology to refer to a pregnancy, and especially hatching a bludger, it gave a slight concern that the girl didn't quite understand a pregnancy or has had sex ed but she seemed to understand her well enough regardless, if anything it might of been because she asked to not say anything about it and so that was the only way she could think to get around it.

She calmed down after a little bit to sip at her drink without spilling it all over herself, the topic made her hand gently slide over to her belly to rub at the small bump that was forming over herself, she was terrified of it, she wasn't ready at all and yet...

She gave a soft smile at her and the enthusiasm at Quidditch, she nodded along gently at her, the May match before finals, Hogwarts were still bad at organizing it seemed, unless it was to give something to relax with by watching students beat eachother up and get injuries that prevent them from taking exams properly. She was fairly sure she had to do some exam with a broken arm or leg.

"I'll have to get permission from the Headmaster, who is it at the moment?" She asked gently, if nothing else it would be a nice opportunity to visit Hogwarts again, even if it was just the Quidditch pitch. "I'll make sure to owl them and ask about it, if I can't make it then I'd find some way to see you play." She smiled warmly before taking another sip of her tea and leaning back.

She supposed she should answer the girls other questions also, even if it meant getting a bit more personal, slowly she rested her head down forwards and stroked the bump on herself.

"It wasn't on purpose, it was at a Christmas party, just my luck I guess." She shrugged. "But due to it, when I found out, which was after everyone else in the team found out, they decided I shouldn't fly, but I flew in one last game determined to try to get a win, they all kept flying to protect them, it got messy and after it was decided due to my usual performance along with my role, I should be put on hiatus immediately." She said sounding all but pleased over the situation.

Of course a Gryffindor would be the one to jump into another house to join them, it was a fun idea, she just wished she was able to do something like that back when she was at school, it sounded amazing and so fun to be able to do. Mairead was already ahead of her at the same age, she was guessing fourth or fifth year by the looks of her and the tone of her voice, it didn't sound quite as tired or depressed yet as you do when you get the bigger exams.

"Just...don't tell anyone." She sighed softly, she didn't want many to know, or for it to get out, not that she thought she was big news, but she didn't want it to be made public in the news full stop the situation, she deserved privacy did she not?

The waiter thought it was the perfect time to deliver her sandwiches and Mairead's Shepherds Pie at that point, before moving off as Alex slid the money to the person for them to leave again. With a gentle groan she composed herself as she nervously moved a hand over her stomach.

"I'm almost three months..." She said quietly as her eyes looked about to make sure no one was listening or in earshot, maybe it was more just paranoia at this point but she didn't want herself plastered on papers if she was more popular then she realized. "Pregnant...only found out a couple of weeks ago...so now they don't want me playing, especially given my habits during flying."

It felt somewhat good to mention it, she was excited, and absolutely dreading it.

She slowly relaxed back and looked down at her drink as she took another sip, wanting to change the topic back again to the other girl infront of her.

"If you show potential during the match, I can always see about getting someone to help, still a few years until out of Hogwarts after all, lots of room to grow." She loved the idea of helping her with her connections...she should try it with more students...

"What's your name then?" Alex asked softly. "You have mine now after all." She shrugged, realizing she hadn't quite asked the girl for her name up to this point, which seemed a little bit rude considering she did save her from a group of girls, and she was buying her stuff in return for the rescue.

With a sigh she looked down at her cup, glancing over as the waiter came with their drinks and placed them down for the two girls, gesturing that food shouldn't be too long either as they hurried off back inside to deal with another customers order. Alex wasn't entirely sure how to answer her about the hiatus part, but she was being asked about it, she needed some sort of answer for her now didn't she?

"Worse then a bludger, I'm not injured or anything, just the team doesn't want me playing with it and all, only advantage is I'm still being paid as I'm on the team still and can still go to practice for now." Just not with any bludges actually about and more for flying drills then play.

She gave a giggle at the compliment to what she was known for, she supposed it was true, rather cool to be known for jumping infront of a bludger. "I don't think it was worth the three weeks in St Mungos but otherwise yeah."

With a sip of her tea she listened to what the other girl did, Beater in first year, and snuck on to play, that was some real dedication to the sport if anything.

"I'll need to see if I can permission from whoever the Headmaster is currently to watch you play. Or I can try to guest referee" That sounded fun to try. "Very brave to sneak on another house and play for Beater in first year. Did you win?"

Despite her rather poor mood from the start, she couldn't help but smile when she saw who it was at the door, and with food by the looks, that was a great thing to bring along to this all, and she was extremely happy her friend had brought it with her as she was in no mood to make her own for the time being, even if it was something to get rid of her boredom at the moment.

She flung her arms wide then wrapped them around Addie, pulling her into a tight hug and embrace, she was not seeming willing to let go of her friend either, maybe she might ease up a little bit she was firmly in the keep an arm around her friend mood right now, she wasn't even sure if she would be able to move her arms apart to let go of her even if she tried her best to do so.

"Its so good to see you." She said softly and buried her head into Addie's shoulder, eyes closing tight as she gave a relieved sigh at the situation she was now in. "I was really worried it was going to be more reporters or something annoying like that."

Keeping in the hug she shifted her head a little so she could see the bags. "What did you bring?"
